Good morning, O-zies! It is 3 times warmer this morning than it was last Saturday- currently 31* - it will be a good day to take down the few outdoor decorations I put up. It's also a decent day to go in the attic and get the boxes down for putting the tree away. Probably not a bad idea, just not sure that I want to.

Other than that, I have no plans. I am slowly getting the house together. Cait and I are cooking dinner together tonight and that is about it. I was thinking I should get my fasting blood work down this morning then I thought about coffee and - you all know what happened. Coffee for the win! If I want to go tomorrow, I am going to have to get it in my head and stick to the plan. If I wake up weak, the coffee will win again.

@BrightEyes Oh no! That is something I would do - completely brain dead over the day of the week and the what trash needed to go out. Or not go out as the case may be. Hopefully, none of the neighbors saw you. Just like I hope none of my neighbors saw me last week in my PJs and slippers and 1 pm. LOL
I will make sure that I don't eat anything spicy made with NM ground chili. Anything more than "mild" is way too spicy for me. I am a baby when it comes to that.

@LSlycord How wonderful about the cruise planning! The closest I ever got to being on a cruise was when we were all going on one in July 2020. Then covid hit and that was that.
I keep saying that I am going to start shredding the old paperwork that I have boxed in the attic. That might be a good plan when I am up there today (if I actually do that). I probably have papers from the last 20 years scattered about.

What a story, Kay!! I had to read it twice to make sure I had it right. When things are meant to be.... ♥

@vickyday That is something that Scott would do-- sleep in the can to hear the rain. Not me!
Look at that teeny tiny sock! Looks incredible! I love baby feet. I'd have fun putting the socks on and kissing those feet.
That must have been a nice time chatting with your friend's mom. DD's dogs are so cute!

@Cherylndesigns I like the Indestructible dog toys- in that they last a little (and I mean just a little ) longer than regular toys. They de-squeak them pretty fast and then use the shells to tug and chew. I must have thrown out 10 squeakers in the last few days LOL

@bcgal00 Caitlyn and I start craving fresh food about now too. I bet that once you start doing keto again, you will feel loads better. I bet that your "crap" photos are 1000000 times better than my best

Good morning ladies! Continued the purging...continued the search for a cruise...

We did move the sofa out to the garage. The new one is supposed to be here today. The other one had seen better days. With two big dogs, an off-white cloth sofa is just not a good plan. So Salvation Army is supposed to pick that up tomorrow and the new one is supposed to arrive this afternoon. The new one is black (fake) leather with a lounge on one side. We still have the leather one that reclines and a recliner so we should have plenty of room for the dogs to nap!

It is 48* here and so we are back to the lanai with the firepit on. So nice to be back. Robins flying from tree to tree in the backyard. Supposed to hit 73* today and 79* tomorrow.

Today more of the same. Baked potato soup and Dutch Letter bars last night for supper. No idea what we will do tonight. Fortunately, I have all day to think about it. LOL

@faerywings cooking dinner with Cait sounds fun. Syd joined me on the potato soup...she cooked and chopped the bacon for me. And we just hung out together and it was so nice. How I cherish these precious moments of time together.

Because I did personals so late yesterday, I'm going to need to wait until later today! LOL This is what happens when I lose my routine.

I awoke to the sounds of voices... I made a mistake last night and set the alarm on 'radio' not alarm - so the radio came on LOUD. Good thing that it at least woke me up as I was sleeping soundly. Of course, it took a minute for the heart to settle down! It was just after 6AM and still dark outside. Threw on my housecoat and slippers and dashed outside to get the trash and recycle bins to the curb. WHAT...what... what... there is white on the ground!!! Yep, that is snow. It was only a dusting - barely 1/2" but it was shining in the predawn light. Now here it is at 7:30AM and the trash truck is just now arriving.... so much rush and I could have taken my time. Don't think we will be getting any more snow either even though the temp is 31*.

I joined in the Members Challenge scraplift yesterday. I had taken a bunch of photos of hot air balloons floating over the house and neighborhood in the late afternoon on Tuesday. The contrast between the gray skies, nude trees and the red of one balloon really caught my attention. Had to dash between the front yard and thru the house to the back yard to get the shots. I was so happy to see a new LO in the gallery that I could lift and use those photos. No... I haven't got to the store to buy the SD card reader yet... so was doing the switch-oh-roo with the ExHD and computers to get the photos transferred so I could use them.

All this talk of 'purging' and 'shredding' reminds me I should be doing some of my own. I need to combine some of the yearly tax records stored in several yearly bins into single bins with multiple years. That would free up more storage space. But it is too cold to work out in the garage right now... so that is chore for when it is warmer.

The trash usually comes around 9 a.m. here on Wednesdays. Last night they came at almost 7 p.m.! I figure that was probably because of the extra trash they were collecting from Christmas boxes, etc! I'm sure they were having to dump the trucks more yesterday to collect everyone's extra trash!

Good Morning!
We are having a heat wave today! It is supposed to be almost 60 for a high! I'll take it! I will probably be able to have DH set the saw up on the deck so I can finally cut the wood for my nativity! Better late than never, I guess! I knew it wouldn't be finished for this year, anyway, so I'm not disappointed!

I need to get some work done around here today. I messed up the kitchen yesterday so I'm gonna have to hire those fairies again, the lazy bums! Tomorrow i will be spending the day with my daughter, or at least part of the day. They have been sick just about the whole time they have been on Christmas break. Covid and bad colds. I sure hope it truly is safe to go there tomorrow! She said it was! Too bad they have been sick since their break is just about over!

Mark is back out in the woods again today. He got a little over half done on the other end of the cabin. It took most of his time just putting up the cross strips to nail the vertical boards to. And, unfortunately so far, it is a hard NO to the red cabin. He wants to stain the wood instead. He never outright says NO to me as emphatically as he did to that request! And I don't ask him for much and don't expect anything out of him, so he must have his reasons. I will let it go.......for now!

Good morning ladies. I'm in and out quickly today. I need to shower and then go pick up my new camera gear...yay! I'll need to charge the battery so I won't be taking any photos until this afternoon sometime. I can't wait. So I'll be back later. It's been a long week without my dslr and I can't wait to master this new mirrorless system. I will be watching videos, there is a lot of settings to adjust, so I know it'll take time but hopefully I will be able to get out and take some basic shots over the wkend as I learn.

What about a red stain to make the cabin look weathered and protected with a stain that won't require the work of re-painting? Hope you really do get your wood cut today. And, I must admit, Brian is a pretty good kitchen elf!

Well, you must've read Mark's mind, Linda......or did you perform some telepathic voodoo on him, LOL! When he came up to the house to refurbish his water and grab something to eat he said the exact thing you mentioned....."I've decided we could look into a red stain for the cabin. I don't want to put paint on it because of the rework we would always be doing! I don't want to have to repaint every couple of years!" Can you believe that?! #clap#clap#clap

This is ridiculous... went to sleep at 9 PM... and woke up just after midnight. I was dreaming I had missed uploading a CT layout and it woke me up. Tried to go back to sleep but nope... the mind kept replaying that a LO had been missed. In my dream, I could see a group of FB LOs and it was in that group. Well, here I am back on the computer searching for the 'missing LO'. Have checked my notebook and on-line at the forums and in my computer... it is not there! Talk about a crazy dream!! Heading back to bed and hope I don't dream about it again. #sleeping
