I am very happy that I don't have anywhere to physically be today and tomorrow. *knocks wood so I don't jinx myself*

I felt slightly better yesterday but still not 100% (or whatever that is for me on a regular Lyme level). I made it through work ok, and after I got home, I wrapped up 2 more baskets. I still have one more to go but I have to head back up into the attic to find a basket that will fit everything in there. I have a few more stocking stuffers to wrap and then I can relax a bit. I have tomorrow set aside for housecleaning. You all will be very proud of me-- I told Gary this morning that he is in charge of the LR. So as long as I can scrub the kitchen and main bathroom, I will have the house presentable for my family. Not that they care, but considering I have little piles of dog fur in the corners of my kitchen, I would like to know that when I cook for Sunday, no discernible fur will be in the food. I can never promise that there will be none, but if I can limit the amount it is a good thing.;)

Scott is having another crisis over what he wants to do for school- he has changed his major several times already and still isn't sure what the right thing to do is.

Any of you go through this with your kids or yourself? What do I tell him or how do I guide him? It is in his hands but I do not want him giving up. He will regret that at some point, but he isn't happy with his options that he has at this point either. :(
I will take any advice you have.

Sending you all some hugs and a bit of spiked eggnog for breakfast.

Nancy- ugh! How can the Devils go from playing decently to that bad? funny that your DS thinks he is bad luck. Did you get the ornament b/c you have season tickets?
men! Sounds just like Gary too- give the dogs something to chew on and then the mess stays. Gary did clean up some of the paper in the DR but there is still a pile in the LR.
How was the ziti and spinach? If it came out good can you link the recipe?

Trudy- how did the bonbons come out? Hope you kept some for yourself to enjoy.
i don't feel too bad about hacking up a lung in the house since the family gave the cold to me. They already went through it. pfft.
Glad to hear that heater got some meds and the bladder inf. will be gone soon. But how horrible to be down in the dumps. It is a tough time of year and if she is feeling overwhelmed *and* hormonal *and* having the weather be the pits- it is no wonder.
I can't imagine how hard it is for you as well. :(

Rae- oh jeez, they load you up *now* with work? I know that you will do a great job with your time mgt.
Now you know why I have to head out early to go food shopping, so much nicer when there aren't as many people getting in my way LOL
I don't understand why they can't make cough drops without menthol. I hate menthol, it makes me nauseous. But I did find sore throat drops that help the tickle in my throat, so at least I have that.

have a fantastic day everyone!

good morning - just got back from a good walk with Luther. As we were practicing our obedience commands a man gets out of his truck and Luther just sat and it was awesome! So happy! Well the baked Ziti was delicious and the boys had seconds! Here is the Link it is a Racheal Ray 5 ingredient meal. http://www.rachaelrayshow.com/recipes/24196_five_ingredient_white_ziti/

Now today I do not have to cook today as it is a Devils/Flyers game. We are getting an Andy Greene bobble head. And yes the ornament was a season ticket holder perk.

Chris my sister in law took many years to figure out what major she wanted. She started in art, then to biology and finally to become a park ranger. Now she is a paralegal. There are so many jobs and careers it can be daunting. In my case and my husband too we always knew we wanted to do something in science so it was easy picking our majors but even then there are so many variations of science. So he just has to relax! I realize that money is a problem so that puts pressure on for sure. The thing is you don't have to decide so young but do not give up! Glad you got so much accomplished so you can relax.

Trudy your MG is tough but hope he does not get his co-workers sick. How did the bonbons turn out? Sorry that Heather is in a funk. This time of year can be so stressful! It is awesome though that she has you to talk to each day! Hope you finish up your shopping!

Rae hope the final work load get done quickly! How is your DH's ankle doing? Funny how he forgot to tell you the store did not have the suet - men!

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies... I was up with my Gary this morning, he was coughing up a lung (just like Chris) who could sleep with all that shaking of the bed from his coughing LOL. So I made us some steel cut oatmeal for breakfast and sent him on his way. He is not going to pass this cold on to his work mate as she has the rest of the week off and so that means that he has to do his job by himself. Oh well it makes his day fly by. He is feeling a bit better but oh my the coughing and the mucus Ewwwww!! I am heading back to bed soon, I do not want to get run down and catch this nasty virus!!

Chris - Bon Bons were made yesterday but had to sit in the fridge overnight, so I will finish them off today. Just a couple of gifts left to wrap and then we are all done!! Hooray! Next I am making a few appetizers to take to DS and family, nothing fancy just a couple of simple things. It was such a beautiful afternoon yesterday, so when I got home from the craziness of downtown I decided to wash my very, very dirty car. Yes it was that nice that I could wash the car outside in my driveway!! The sun was shining and it was nice and mild. Boy my poor CRV was filthy! Today a I will vacuum it and armorall the inside of it. I started a Christmas page two days ago and would really like to get it finished today also. I have been a very neglectful cheeryO lately and really need to get into the gallery to leave some love. Such a busy time of year and not enough hours in the day! I have no words of wisdom for you to give Scott. My kids never really wanted to go to University and our Son decided a year after graduating to join the miiitary. It was the best choice for him and it sure made him grow up in a hurry. I always felt guilty for not spending more time trying to help him decide what to do. But at that time I was dealing with Heather being so very sick and he got neglected. I told him that I was so sorry a few years later, but he said it was the best thing for him, it made him wake up and realize that he had to do something with his life. Everything happens for a reason... right?? I hope that Scott will find something that he truly loves to do, but ultimately it is his choice. I hope you manage to get the dog hair out of the kitchen LOL. Nice that your Gary is taking charge of cleaning the Living Room for you!

Well I will say hi to the rest of you today and get back to bed for a bit. I hope that you all have a fabulous day! I will pop in later to catch up with you all!

Good morning, ladies. I'm swamped with work and will be right up to Saturday and then will have to finish it up after Xmas. I need to wrap, bake, clean and run some errands. So....I'll be going at warp speed for a few days LOL. I won't be around much except for a minute here and there as I take some short breaks during the day and won't be sitting down to relax til late at night. But...it's only a few days and then it'll be Xmas Eve and I can relax.

Chris - hope you continue to feel better. As for Scott, I'm sure he'll get it all figured out.
Trudy - isn't it crazy abour our weather? It's been so much warmer these last few days. We still have 6" of snow but it is slowly melting away.

I'm getting to work now. I see a bunch of files have come thru to me so the sooner I get done the sooner I can finish tonight. I'm off to a new gluten-free store at lunch time and am excited to check it out. Hopefully they will have a good dessert for Jen and I for Xmas (aside from the gluten free cookies I am making). Have a great day, everyone.

I think I have my Christmas things done that aren't for the eve or day. Whew! Now for cleaning the house and a little more decorating. We don't do much and it's just the two of us. Still life seems crazy so much of the time.

Chris, wow, hope the feeling better grows! I know your cleaning will get done and everything be under control. I am so far removed from college that I don't have a clue for Scott, but don't think he is at all unusual. Do the school have counseling for choosing a major?

Nancy, nice having Luther learning so well! And nice perks from the hockey team, just hope they add a win for you.

Trudy, at least MG can't infect an absent person, so whatever works for him. Bonbons sound wonderful. And washing the car in the driveway? WOW. We're above freezing and trying to clear ice from the driveway.

Rae will be too busy to see this, but wow to you too. Always amazed at how much you accomplish!

Greetings to all!

Ha ha Jean....goes to show what you know :) I did see this LOL. I am lucky that I work well under pressure. I got a bunch of errands done at lunch time today and will be popping back out for an hour soon for a few more errands. Got my shopping done and tonight will wrap a few and make some cookies. Even facetimed today on my phone which was a first for me. I'd never done that before. My daughter was Xmas shopping for Darrell and wanted to show me stuff in the store so I could help her decide what to get. That was fun.

Ok....I'm going back to work now.
