GooOd mOrning! It has been snowing here for over 12 hours and is still going strong. I have no idea how much there is only that it isn't the light and fluffy stuff they were expecting. It is heavy and icy and is going to be a PITA and PITB(ack) to shovel.
Gary went out for the first run around 9 pm and didn't get very much done. Partly because he can't find one of his gloves. He uses heavy leather motorcycle gloves in the snow but we can only find one. They are big and bulky and we can't figure out where it would go, it isn't something that would have gotten thrown out by mistake. I had to let the dogs out at 2.30 am and ugh, they were so excited by the snow that they had to run around and play. When I finally got them back inside, they were wet and wound up and running and jumping on the bed. Needless to say, it took me forever to get back to sleep.

I had to make a quick trip to the vet yesterday. W's ear had gunk in it. It had been red on and off for a few days but we never saw anything. Turned out that she has a yeast infection and needs eardrops every day for a month. I should just sign my soul over to the vet, it might be cheaper that way. Ha!
I was able to get two more things - one for each kid and helped my mom order a few other things on Amazon.

Today is going to be shoveling. Lots of shoveling. In between shoveling, I am going to wrapping.
But first, I need to wake up Caitlyn and then get more coffee.
BRB!

Before I do personals, I have happy news to share! Scott's best friend and his girlfriend got engaged yesterday!
Ian had planned to propose when they all went to my mom's lakehouse for New Year's. They had blocked off time to go up there like they did last year but when the COVID cases surged, they had to cancel the plans to do that. Then the plan shifted to the closing date on their house (Ian's father passed away 2 years ago and was buying out his brother's share). That was supposed to be two weeks ago but you know how lawyers and closings are. They finally got the closing date for yesterday afternoon but then the weather was bad. My kids (including Leah of course) went over there first thing in the morning to "congratulate them on the closing." They were actually there to be part of the engagement and take pictures from a distance. Not the way any of them had hoped it to be, but still a very happy occasion in the s***show of 2020.

Trudy- you are too funny- of course, you couldn't stay away from here! I bet your eyes needed a break from the paint swatches too- kind of like a palette cleanser of sorts? :p
I hope that you will share pics of the painting. I hope that you won't have to wait too long to get the vaccine.
It looks like we are will stay in the 12-15" range of snowfall. Please keep your fingers crossed that we don't lose power later on since the generator won't start. So far, so good! *knocks wood*
Did you get in a nice visit with your SIL?

Kay- good news about the finger staying clean, hope it stops hurting soon.

Nancy- are you snowed in? It didn't really start up here until 5 pm.
It was you that suggested Fargo to watch? Thank you if it was you- or to whoever did suggest it. :) We started Fargo last night and Sherlock Holmes a few days ago.
How is Luther's limp? I hope that the snow doesn't make it act up again. I am not sure how well Ray is going to do out in this. She didn't have a great day yesterday so we are speeding up between the good vs bad days.
ITA with your advice to Trudy, she always does amazing work!

Cheryl- Ava would fit right in with us too- talking louder and faster is what gets you heard with us. Usually, 3-4 conversations at the same time and more than the number of people involved in them.

Rae- that is good news about Taz's appetite. I feel like he and Noel are conspiring together-- It's your turn to ask her for treats, no, it is *your* turn! haha!
I hope that you were able to get the treats for them at the store. The lasagne sounds delish!

Morning ladies... it is actually not raining today and there are even some patches of blue sky out there. Got a face time call from Heather quickly as poor Hunter was crying in the background and did not want his Mommy to talk to me. He has not been sleeping well and today complaining that his tooth hurts  I sure hope that he doesn't have an infection or something from the dental surgery he had. Heather said she looked at his teeth and everything looks good, but she might be heading back to the dr. office today. Poor little man!! Now I will be worrying about him all day! Wish I could be there to help out!! Dam COVID!! I have to go back to the Dollar Store today to get more paper cups. I was mixing up paints yesterday and realized that I don't have enough to do my pour on this painting. I think it will take at least 10 cups to do the flip cup pour on it. The canvas that my Gary made is just beautiful, he is getting really good at making them for me.

Chris - You do spend a lot of time at the Vet's don't you!! They must feel like you are a part of their family LOL. Hope that W's ear clears up quickly! What lovely news to share with all of us today! How fun that the kids were there to witness this happy event! I am sure that one day you will be telling us of Scott and Leah's engagement too! Strange that Gary can not find his other bulky glove?? Wonder if that pesky ghost is back playing tricks on you again?? The dogs sound like little kids getting to play in the snow like that, too bad it was so late at night I can just picture all of them on your bed trying to warm up and rubbing their noses on your faces LOL. So sad to hear about Betty Jo's friend's sister passing! Of course I will be sending along good thoughts to her today!

Rae - Your lasagna sounds delicious!! Hope you were able to find the treats for your fur babies! Sounds like Noel is holding his own and doing well! Hope you get your wrapping done and please let us know how the popcorn turned out! Oh my visit with my SIL will not happen until this weekend as Gary wants to see her too and wish her Merry Christmas, so we will do that either Saturday or Sunday, still not sure which day it will be.

Kay - Glad to hear that there is no infection going on with your finger! Hope it is feeling better today! Yes this client sure did wait until the last minute for her painting, but I told her that I would not guarantee Christmas delivery.

Nancy - Thank you so much for the lovely comment about my paintings! You are too kind! I hope that you are not snowed in today, although I be Luther will love all that snow!

Cheryl - How is your project coming along? Yes I am working hard on this canvas, just need to sand a bit of the rough edges on it and hopefully I will get it done finally!

Ok off to the shower and will txt Heather in a bit to see how our little man is doing. Send him good thoughts today please!! Have a lovely Thursday everyone!

good morning - well the wind is blowing and it is now sunny and the snow storm for us was maybe 4 inches. It would have been more except that we had rain and sleet for a while so as Chris said it will be a pain to shovel. My DH is out with Luther but I just cant in this wind so I will be upstairs on my bike later. I did get a page done. I have found a new show to watch - is was originally on AMC. It is called Turn. It is about spies during the American Revolutionary War. It is so good. I love American history and this takes places on Long Island, New York City and New Jersey. But the crazy thing about the show is how long it takes for news to travel. One person on Long Island send a message and then months before they knew if it worked. And there are 4 seasons. I do have a bit of terrible news. One of my son's Marine buddies committed suicide. They could not go to the funeral due to Covid. I feel even though he did not die per se from Covid the isolation did not help. My son says I never met him but it still crushes me how little is done for vets.

Chris well you did not give me your snow. I hope it is not too bad. Congrats on the engagement. No matter when or how the profession of love to your love and among friends is always to be celebrated. I hope the glove is found. Good luck with shoveling.

Trudy thanks for the nice compliment on my page. I do love Luther. Have fun painting. Hope your weather clears.

Kay hope it is warming up in NM. Glad to hear the finger is doing better each day.

Cheryl I bet all the young ones must be so excited with so few days left until Christmas. Have fun!

Rae so glad that Taz is gaining weight. Enjoy the walks.

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. Getting a new computer table today. D found one on Craigs List that has a wide opening under the table to slide my chair back and forth depending on the monitor I'm using (I have three but need to mostly slide between two of them. This will help me not to twist at all which will help my back. So D and Jen will move a table and cabinet out to make room and then move all the computer stuff.

Making meatloaf for the family today. Will be careful what I do today as my back was really bugging me last night. i think I carried too many groceries...ugh.

Watched the finale for Masked Singer. We enjoyed it.

Chris - you spend so much time at the vet, you should get some kind of special discount. Be careful shoveling the snow. Always nice to hear good news in this crazy time.

Trudy - can't wait to see the finished piece when its done. Never had my popcorn as my back was bugging me so I went to bed for a few hrs and then got up to watch some TV and relax, no snacking. For sure this wkend I am going to try it out. Hope Hunter is ok.

Nancy - glad you are enjoying a new show. How sad for the fellow who died. I agree, COVID might not be the reason but the isolation and craziness of this year just makes everything so much worse.

I'm getting to work now so I can finish up this morning and take a break to putter around the house. BFN

Thanks so much, Chris, for sharing about the loss of my best friend. Just when I thought 2020 couldn't get any worse. It’s been a tough few days. I thought I’d try and create a tribute layout for her. Wow! How can anything be so hard? I did manage to pick a few favorite photos of her, but when it comes to journaling, the words are just not coming. I managed some, but Lord only knows if they make any sense. I’ll wait another day to post, in case my mind starts working better.
My mind tells me to be thankful that she is finally out of pain and at peace. But, my heart is still broken. She was closer to me than my own sister. My granddaughters called her Aunt. She was a part of our family and we all loved her dearly. My son and DIL came by yesterday afternoon and we cried and reminisced about times we’ve shared with my friend. That helped a lot.
My friend had been in a rehab facility for the past few years due to a fall in which she broke her femur, and never fully recovered. She was so frail, that by last Tuesday she was down to 70 lbs. She also was diagnosed with Covid, was hospitalized, and in the care of Hospice.
It’s so sad how people are passing away without their family and/or friends with them. There will only be a small graveside gathering for my friend, as funerals aren’t allowed at this time.
I considered taking some time off from the O, but I’m finding it helps to stay active right now.

Hello girls,
so many sad news at the O these days. I don't feel anything I have to share is right in the light of others sadness. :noidea: So will go directly on personals. ::grouphug

Betty Jo, I'm so sorry for your loss, sincerely condolences! Tribute page is nice idea, hope to can make it as you want!

Nancy, so sorry for your son's friend! We have news research about many cases of suicide people which finances are been affected by the lockdown, it's so sad! It's always sad! Ironically my family lose few dear friends because of cancer or suicide this year, and fortunately all covid cases was light.

Rae, congrats for the new computer table! Hope this will helps to your back! Hmm wasn't you, who was put the Christmas tree on the place for computer?!

Trudy, poor Hunter, hope his dental problems can be fast resolved! I have no doubts that this painting will be brilliant as usual! Just hope delivery to happens on time. Are you plan to deliver it personal?

Chris, congrats for the engagement of Scott's best friend! What is Scott waiting for? I often think how different could be my sister's life now if this year was normal!
I'm laughing so much on your idea to sold your soul to some Mephistopheles vet LOL. I was dating with vet in past, hoping to get free care, but he was so full with sad stories on daily basis, so depressed me! :pound:

Cheryl, my family is so loud too, even we are small one. I'm so happy to see you're able to be together for the holidays!

Hello my Lovely Oooo's

I've been so busy spinning my wheels today. Sorry I'm so late checking in. Things are so crazy here - I THINK we've moving next weekend!! Everything kind of went into high gear last night - last minute scurry! Our DD, SIL and youngest GD arrive Sunday (with the moving truck). EEKKK. All of a sudden - they have to get our house done so this lake cottage will be available for them. All of this could have been avoided if the work had been done as it should have. Now that "the boss" (SIL) is arriving, everybody is going crazy! They're still going to have to live in their 5th wheel for a few days.

Anyway, I'm not going to go into detail except to say it's crazy around here - total "wait til the last minute stuff"!

Chris, you do spend a lot of time at the vet - bless your heart.

Trudy, my project is going pretty well. I don't know if I told you all, but I'm making Ava handmade chapter tabs for all 66 chapters of The Bible. We also bought her a gorgeous, cloth Bible that she had showed me that she wanted. I was going along pretty well, until I discovered that the special cardstock I had ordered was MIA. My husband was "trying to help" and he had taken the box of paper and put it out in the laundry room with all the stuff that we're moving up to the new house. ROTF So, I have it and now I can go forward. (I had about given it up and here he came with the box and said "is this anything you need?")

Chris and Nancy, how much snow did you get? Outs is all but gone - just a few patches here and there. Great news about Scott's best friend!

Felis and Chris, I'm glad we're not the only loud family. There are quite a few of us and it gets pretty wild at times. Most of us are "alpha" too - and most of us are females. The 3 guys just nod and smile. Hahaha My oldest gs Cameron is supposed to come out in Feb or March to live, so that will even things up a bit. Felis, we're looking forward to all being together for Christmas!

Nancy, the kiddos are all getting excited for Christmas. Oh, to be a kid again.

Hope I didn't leave anybody out. I think I'm going to go work on my Bible tabs.

Trudy, I want to see a picture of your canvas and I'll show you all pictures of Ava's Bible when I get it done.

Hugs to all

How is your project going?
