I really could swear that it should be Friday..... I really kind of need it to be Friday.... LOL So much running and making and doing and not enough breathing.
2 more weeks and it will be allover! ha!!!

So did any of you seee the 121212 concert last night? i wanted to talk about it but I couldn't :tape: leah (Scott's GF) and her mom got tix for them for his Christmas present! Leah asked me about a month ago if it would be ok, since he would have to miss school today. For Roger Waters? Sure thing!! Then when they were able to get the tix and the bands kept on being added to it. Damn!! Its like the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in one place! And I have to say, my Man Jon.... *happy sigh* Been in love with him since I was 12!!! My uncle's BF worked with Jon's dad (doing hair, how funny is that LOL), so we heard about him before he ever hit the radio. love love love :love:
Anyway, Scott had no idea at all that he was going or even that he was seeing Leah. So when she came to the house, I called him downstairs and he was so confused to see her there.
She handed him the map of the Garden with their seats circled and then the ad for the show. He kept looking up and down and all that my motor-mouth son could say what "Whaaaat? Whaa??" It was very cute and I am sure that they had a blast! I can't wait to hear all about it. I watched some of it on TV but then I had to go to bed. But I saw Jon and Roger so I was happy :music: And how cool was it to see NJ/NY-ers all pull together. Adam Sandler was a trip-- he nailed the "Attitude" that this region is famous for. :D

I hope that the Robin Hood org takes paypal cuz I am flat out of room on the credit cards but I hope to donate a bit. I donated to Occupy Sandy right after, but this org looks like it has a lot of clout.

Anyway that was my happy news for yesterday. Other news flash is that I truly hate Christmas shopping. No surprise there. And I kinda hate work. And running around like a crazy woman.
But I LOOOOOOVE :tea:

Phyllis- I do NOT know how you do it with food. You don't take pills at all? My g-father managed his diabetes on doet alone until the year before her died at 87. Amazing how strict you have to be. I could not give up carbs :(
That is a great idea about the candle and paint can in the car. When the kids were little I was much better about keeping snacks and blankets and a flashlight in the car. Now I am more of a mess. After hearing about that poor woman eating snow for a week, its not a bad idea!

Nancy- were you able to get any photos of the hawk? How cool to see him! I know nothing about birds (except that they like to poop in my car), but it must be so cool to see a hawk! How big is he?

I am sorry to hear about your niece. It must be hard to watch. Is she an addict? I hope that she is getting treatment of some type or is in a program if she is. :(

CLara- hey soul sista!!! Miss you tons too!!! How was the show? I recetnly read an article about him and really thought what an awesome guy he is! I am sure he rocked!

Phyllis- ITA- Scott is a junior in HS and we have been talking to him about next steps. We always told him that he didn't have to go to college, but he did have to do some sort of further ed. Tech School, or whatever. But he keeps saying to us that it makes no sense to spend all of that money on college to end up working at McDonald's. Its hard for that gen b/c they do think, "What's the point?"

yes, fudge (or chocolate of any kind, except for with marshmallows) is always the answer!!

Good morning ladies. On the new laptop with Windows8 and it is a bit of a challenge but, like PSE11, I will get used to it. :rofl:

Woke up yesterday morning and realized that we were less than two weeks from Christmas. So, I got online and ordered gifts for the kids. They were things that I had been planning for quite a while but just hadn't ordered. Yesterday, I realized that it was time to order. I have a couple of items...but we are sitting pretty good overall now. Anyway, my Christmas shopping used up all of my morning O time!:???:

Today I am volunteering at the Holiday Shoppe first thing this morning. Then off to work. Ooops...the screen just got magnified to about 150%. I did that with some finger motion on the touchpad. Now I need to figure out how to take it back to normal size. This laptop does have a 17 inch screen instead of 15.3 so I may take this one and give Brian my old one. We will see.

morning O fam- vegging - woke up not feeling too bad- but will still go to dr- to make sure I don't get worse- thinking beginning of sinus infection. I have to empty a bedroom today to make room for our bed to be moved- oh that will be weird. I have been pintresting ideas for making my craft room counter stand up on it's own! I need that in order to organize the stuff (aka crap) that is going down there. I have not exercised- plan to be home to live exercise at 11:30- dr at 9am. Catch up with you after the room is empty- trying to make myself want to cleanup!

hi, guys. just stopping in to say hi. i have been getting these "ocular migraines," http://vimeo.com/16002483 for the past year or so, which i am blaming on looking at the computer screen too much. i never had one this early in the day, and i've got one now. wiggly lines all over my field of vision. so, hi. and now i'm going to close my eyes until the wiggles die down. have a happy day.

Morning "O" ladies... Its soooo dark outside!! I want the bright mornings of summer back :hurt: Well only a short 4hrs today, then I have to get some vitamin D supplements and hopefully that will help with the sleepy way I feel all the time. Or is that just my age??

Chris - What a great surprise for your son!! Lucky him! I wish I would have watched, but I am sure there will be lots of things on Utube!! Great spirit that NY and NJ have!! I did manage to put out a few scrap pages yesterday, although I could only post one of them. I really have to try to get a couple of challenges done, but the Christmas kits keep calling my name LOL.

Laurie - Glad that you did not wake up with a full blown cold, hope that whatever is going on with your sinus get nipped in the bud!! Good luck at the drs. Sounds like you will be busy with moving stuff around today!

LindaS - Isn't it a good feeling to know that all gifts are bought! Next year I am definitely shopping on line!! I spent a fortune shipping parcels off with Canada Post, I almost cried when they told me how much it was going to be!!

Phylis - Sorry that you are having problems with migraines!! I can't imagine having that happen! Perhaps there is something you can get for your screen that will help with the glare or something? Take care my friend, we would miss you too much if you could not be here with us each morning!! Take care of you!!!

good morning ladies the sun is shining and the temperature is going to be near 50. Tonight going out with my girlfriends for our holiday dinner. Going to have Italian. Should be a fun and festive night.

Chris I watched the 121212 concert. What fun for your son - I am so glad that I know someone there. It was great! I could not stay up pass 11:30 so missed Sir Paul and Billy Joey. Bonjovi and the Boss were awesome! And I loved Adam Sandler's parody! And yes I did get photos of my hawk - there is a page in Anna's gallery of him taking off

Phylis so sorry about the migraines. feel better!

afternoon- I have meds- but have to wait two hours after or one hour before and I am hungry, so will start them tonight. Dr said she will write me off for work tomorrow if I need- so we shall see what the morning brings. Glad I caught it before major issues

Just stopping in real quick. So much going on today.

My son passed his licensing exam! Woo Hoo! Next step--get commissioned as a police officer when he turns 21 (Jan 5th) and then get a job and get off mom and dad's payroll! I'm really proud of him. Graduation is tonight.
