I think that a combination of the full moon, the holidays, this darn boot, and general insanity is creating a perfect storm in my house and in my mind. That storm has resulted in yet another night of insomnia and I have been up since 4.15. The good news is that is later than the last two days. It is like my brain gets zapped and that is it for sleep.

Yesterday was I don't even know anymore. Gary and I had a tiny tiff to start the day. He needed the car to go to a Drs appt first thing and then I was going to take it to clean. He forgot that I needed it because he planned to go Christmas shopping since he was out of town already. Cait got the email that her class was canceled so I was able to use her car. Crisis averted. Cleaning was fine except the boot puts a lot of pressure on my hip. I am so unbalanced as it it b/c of my scoliosis and of course, the boot and sneaker on my other foot aren't a 100% match which makes me a bit more "off." My friend has all tile/Pergo flooring which left me with no cushion like I have here. I hurt when I got home.
Food pick up was fine. Vet meds were not. When I got home I realized that they gave me the wrong dosages for the heartworm. Gary had to take our neighbor food shopping so he stopped in to replace them. Whew! Meanwhile, back at home, Cait comes running down to ask if she should take Little Evil Livvie to the vet. Lil Liv squeezed into her vanity drawer and ate part of a tube of her eczema ointment. (Why???? :noidea: ) The vet office that sees her rats told her to call the ASPCA poison control. There is a $75 fee just to talk to someone. She hangs up and calls the vet that the dogs and cat go to. They tell her that ointments are usually not a problem but watch her for a while. Cait is now late to babysit so I offer to watch her. That darn rat didn't stop moving. At all! She was acting totally normal. When Gary got home from the store with our neighbor, I had to have him watch the girls while I got dinner in the oven or we wouldn't have anything to eat.
Chaos. Utter chaos. Each and every day. :pound:

Today I will be out all day. I am leaving here first thing so I can get to the x-ray place at 9 when they open. I have to be at my parents (5 minutes from there) bt 10 so we can get to the cardiologist by 10.45. Appt is 11.15 to discuss pacemaker/defibrillator surgery. How many times do you think I am going to need to mediate between my mom and dad? It is going to a bucket of wine kind of night.

I figured out a workaround with Grammarly and Oscraps. The app works on all of the websites in Firefox- except this forum, even though it works in the Gallery just fine. Because I have terrible typing skills, I really need the app! It works in Chrome so I am now opening a window in Chrome- just to type this. Saves my sanity when typing and proofreading.

So I am off, I have to get dressed and ready to go. I will try to get in some personals before I leave. hugs to all of you!

Ladies, I always have such a fun time creating with you! Thank you! Today DH and I are going to take half a day and shop local (doing it on the official "shop local" Saturday is too crazy for us). Tomorrow my mom is visiting and my son has a swim meet. Saturday he has his first formal (pictures will be coming)! Sunday is church for us. Monday I am making a five hour drive to Michigan. I am to not distract my son as he has his last finals Tuesday morning and then we will be driving home (after visiting our favorite local restaurant, Uncle Cheetah's for some soup)! I am not sure how much scrapping I'll do between now and when he has to return to school in January! I hope you all have a Merry Christmas! I wish for rest, good health, and self-cleaning houses for us all!

Morning ladies... Oh so dark outside this early in the morning!! DH and I were both awake before 5am :mmph: Oh well it will give me a bit more time to finish off a few more cards this morning. Yesterday went well, I got a page done for here and all the cards made for our Son and family and the parcel is now in mail and on its way Hooray!! Today I will mail out a parcel to Heather and that will be it for parcels! The calendar printed out very nicely and I think everyone will be happy with it! Now I only need to get one printed for the In-Laws and one for us of course at least there is no big rush to do that! I did a bit more decorating yesterday also and today will finish off the decorating by doing something with the staircase. I can't put anything on the railings as the In-Laws need to use them to get up the stairs. So off to Pinterest I go to get some ideas. That should take up a few hours of my day LOL.

Chris - Oh my what a day you had yesterday!! What a PITA to have that boot to mess up your whole day and your body!! I was wondering if there was a full moon, both DH and I up very early this morning too! Glad that all your little glitches in the day turned out ok though. Today will be a long one for you and I sure hope that your Mom and Dad both behave and do not make you drink a gallon of wine tonight!! Although after your long day you really might need it!! :partywine Happy to hear that you worked out a fix for your Grammarly app, it will make life a bit easier for sure! Hope your day goes without incident!

Cinda - Merry Christmas to you also! Sounds like you will be a very busy lady over the last few weeks before the New Year! I pray for a self-cleaning house also LOL. Good luck with our shopping and take care on your long drive! So glad that you have been having a great time at the O!!

Rae - You are so busy, and it always amazes me how organized you are!! Perhaps you could teach me your secrets LOL. A while back you asked me if I have been able to use all the card making things I inherited? The answer is yes and of course it has become something that I am now spending $$ on getting some fun stamps and card stock etc. It was supposed to save me money, not make me spend more LOL. But I am having fun with it all! I thought that I would use the Cricket Machine more, but it is an older model and not able to connect to the computer, so I don't use it too often. I do use the Big Shot die cut machine a lot though. More things to occupy my time, the days fly by between card making, painting and spending time at the O! I hope your work day is not too heavy today!

Felis - Sorry you had trouble accessing the O the other day, however I don't think it was your computer, it was a problem that they were having here at Oscraps. Everything is up and running smoothly again thankfully! Hope you continue to have fun here with the challenges and games, I am loving your pages and need to check out all of them today! Thanks for the nice wishes for my son's birthday!! Everyone is settled in and very happy in their new home in Ottawa including Storm! She was not a happy dog in their temporary place in Toronto, but now she has a lovely back yard and her family are all much happier, which makes her one happy dog!! I saw her last night when we face timed for our Son's birthday and she heard my voice and came over to say hi with a happy face and wagging tail. So cute!!

Ok I am off to make the bed and get into the shower before Heather and Hunter call today, it will be nice to hear how Mason's Christmas concert went last night! Have a great Thursday everyone!

good late morning - finished PT and for a while I thought I was not progress but for my knee to be considered "functional" it has to bend 120 degrees. Well mine is now up to 118. And I have been practicing going up stairs alternating legs. I still use the cane on way down. I just find that scary. But I am really feeling better and getting better. It is amazing what well trained therapist notice that I would never thing of when walking. I am having to step of the very tiny hurtles. I was not lifting my leg enough to get it over and she said I was using the thigh to get it over and it really should be the hip and what a difference I noticed. That is good. Had a good time with my girlfriend but sad at the same time as her MIL is not doing well. She had to be taken to hospital. So sad and really sad at this time of the year. We are both going out again tonight with a bigger group of friends. That will be lots of fun!

Chris wow what a day! Glad that your day is done. But it seems like today will be no easier. Good luck between your mom and dad. Hope you get better with the boot.

Trudy I went out yesterday to try and take a photo of that moon. I will try again today. Sorry about the fog! Hope the post office was not too busy!

Rae you are the most organized!

Kay sorry about the computer. I don't think I would be able to declutter my computer enough to get it down to 1T. Good luck. Congrats on the new monitor. I find it something I should have known earlier in my life. When your body tells you something you listen. Good for your following through on your foot!

Cinda Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Felis sorry you could not connect but glad you just had to let the computer calm down.

Hi Buddy!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Its raining today so I'll stay indoors as much as I can, other than running out for groceries and walking Taz. Not going to see B today as I'll stay home and gets lots of work done as I'll be out there tomorrow for the quarterly mtg with all her team and then will visit with her for a bit afterwards.

Got my Xmas cards and thought I had ordered folded but nope, by mistake I got flat cards. Oh well, I'm sure no one will care.

Chris - be careful today and don't overdo it, let your body get lots of rest when you get back home. Hope things go well with your mom's appt.

Trudy - glad to hear you are enjoying the scrap supplies. I love my Big Shot too. I have a silhouette that I've never used. I don't even know if it works as its over 5 yrs old. I have even used it (one of my impulse buys yrs ago with some casino winnings). I got rid of lots of scrap supplies but will keep some as I might use them once I retire. I miss scrap time with friends and might start joining in again at some point, so making cards would be fun to do again.

Nancy - glad to hear your knee is almost at 120°. You've worked hard at your knee rehabs.

I'm getting back to work before waking Taz. Hope you all have a great day.

Been a busy morning already!! Woke up with the foot not hurting... had hopes it would last all day. But shortly after getting up it started aching again. I am putting the boot on as soon as I wake up so I have support for when I have to walk. Think that is helping so will continue doing what I have been. Managed to get a bit of scrapping done and up-loaded. Still behind but hope to catch up in the next few days.

Tomorrow, weather is going to turning colder with some kind of precipitation so will have to drive over to pick up my mail today - it is in the mailbox cluster about 3 blocks from the house. Haven't picked it up all week..<yikes> Then need to get the bills paid and over to the Post Office. Thank goodness, there is a drive-up box so I don't have to get out of the car.

Buddy... you can come in anytime... gald to have you here!!

Will check back later to do personals.

Hello ladies!
It was gloomy and rainy day. It's more kind of day good to procrastinate than to be responsible person! I surprised myself by stolen time at the morning and scrap one more page, yey! The O party is so fun, I don't want to ended! I'm always so excited, and pleased and extremely happy when see all came comments at my gallery!

My sister came home and we are all excited. Other fun thing was when at the afternoon I looked around and was surprised to found myself alone. Start looking around and found my babies all fell asleep on one warm blanket, forming one big fur ball. Was so cute, but the room was too dark for photo and my heart don't give me to turn the lights. Only covered them and left it to dream a little dream. Usually at that time of the day they played around and makes noises till I'm cleaning, but as I said gloomy and lazy day today.

Chris, we are in so similar situation with our parents! Seriously these people makes marriage to looks like the most horrible decision that someone can take freewill! Hope your day wasn't too freaking! Aww I'm the same with the typing. Even have took course, but it doesn't helps me at all, and I had to wave for goodbye to my hopes for writing career. As here the worst sin is to be illiterate, it's worse than to be indecent. Poor little Livvie, hope all will be fine with her, keep us update please! But in wild they are very durable, so hope she is too!

Cinda, so happy to see you here! Hope you'll find time to stop by again at some of the next days! Have to tell that your story about the Chinese students was very interesting for me! Also I just adore your cat (I saw it at the layouts)!!! The gray tabby are one of my favorite cat choices! My oldest baby girl Hunter is exactly as your, and I have also similar naughty boy who was at my christmas scrap. I would love to know more about the story of your pretty!

oh thank you, Trudy, nice to know it was from the site! Yes these things happen all the time, especially when the traffic is so busy servers crashed. It's not a big deal! I'm so happy to hear that the whole family is happier at Ottawa! Is it clear for how long they will stay there? I still hope at some moment to come back near to you! Sounds like you are in full festive mood/activities! yikes, I hate to be awake before sunrise, that always makes me nervous! Yes it's a full moon exactly on 12th.

Buddy,  We don't mind at all, always welcome!!

Nancy, your progress is so fast, bravo! I'm sorry, but I'm always find stairs scary, they are just a tricky thing, so to be careful is smart not weakness. Oh, so sorry to hear about your friend's MIL, best wishes to her, hope on fast recovery!

Rae, you are busy bee! Your plans sounds nice. I don't know, personally I prefer flat cards as saving of space and sources. But folded looks more elegant.

Kay, I realize I sound silly but these things are just unfamiliar for me, so why your mail come at mailbox cluster instead of to your own door? I don't have mailbox too as it should stay outside, because house is with front yard, so send almost all my conversation to my sister office where she have concierge who collect it at any time.
