CHEERY O
I *have* to make this short. No more rambling on and on and on today. I have so much to do and I distract myself. It probably doesn't help that the kids are home where last year they were at school much of the time. Yeah, that's it. I am gonna blame it on *them*
(I am such a bad mom LOL)

I was able to cross several things off of my to-do list but more got added to it. I painted the naughty snowflakes and glittered them. Baked two trays of Magic Bras- some with dark/white choc and some with semi-sweet and butterscotch. The fringe is on the wool scarf and it really looks nice. But who do I give it to? Paid bills. Added more to the credit card.
I have to get into the attic this morning to look for a frame, see if there is any wrapping paper, grab the pinecones to make the firestarters today, and then find the rest of the trays to store cookies in the freezer.
My parents want to come up and visit tomorrow so I have to block out some time for them. My mom's kidneys aren't doing super-great, they are going to try and switch up some meds again and my dad needs a shoulder replacement. Whether he does it or not is a different story but as he says, it is messing up his fishing game. Is it any wonder I have been up since 3.30 am?.
Naaaahhhhhhh. ;)

I have really been slacking here at the party and I feel terrible. Please don't fire me since I am now officially an UnCheery O.

I am going to do some short personal and hope to be back for some scrapping and gallery love in a bit.

Nancy- your dream with your family had me LMBO!!! That is way too funny! :pound: Enjoy your time with Luther today it doesn't look too cold out there.
PS: Did you hear about the woman who took the State Police on a chase down 287? She was found sleeping in the park where Scott would take his boat out, just a few miles from my house. Crazy!

Cheryl- hope that you are feeling better each day. My family is addicted to Yankee candles Balsam and Cedar. MIL gets me one every year.
Amazon -- yeah packaging and shopping are bad for the environment and the working conditions are really bad. the Social Justice part of me hates that I shop there but the in debt/housebound rest of me doesn't have much of a choice. Yup, what can you do?
heh, another similarity-- when the kids were little I would go through Lysol wipes like crazy- every morning I would use them to clean the bathrooms.

Trudy- so relieved that you are feeling a bit better today. Of course, you are allowed to have days like that and we will be here to support you. I saw the LO of Hunter in his little mask. My heart melted. I hope that you are able to keep swimming but I know that your country and province seem to be on top of stuff. I am surprised that NJ hasn't lockdown more but we never actually made it past Stage Two even when we were doing better over the summer.
Do the candles really smell like Frasier Firs? That is the tree we like but to save the $25 we for a Douglass Fir this year. And yes, they do smell different. LOL I will have to check them out! TFS!

Cheryl- I didn't even think of that, smart of Trudy to make the suggestion. Better to be safe than sorry, just in case. Was Ava able to do the shopping for you, get what you wanted? Hope so!

Rae- I am so so so sorry for your loss. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))) I can't imagine not being able to hug your family. Nor not being able to be with your loved one. :(
I know that you want to push on but give yourself time to grieve as well. You aren't just grieving for an individual but as part of a collective loss and it is bound to hit you differently and at different times. Sending you love and support.

Felis- I am sure that Rae wouldn't think you disrespectful for chatting.
Gald to hear that you are preparing for Christmas! Who said that Buddy, Mama O, and the O Fairy aren't the same magical person, of course they are!
(PS: I still think that I am right in our debate )
I am sorry that you cried during Frankenweenie, but it is a good way to let it all out... Hugs!

Kay- you were very busy and productive yesterday even if it felt like you weren't at times. Good luck with the meds, what a pain it is. How awesome to have some nice weather before it gets cold again. It snowed her a tiny bit. yuck.
Did you sleep well after your busy day? Hope you did!

I still talked too much, even though I swore I wasn't going to. ugh.

Don't read this if you're have happy day! :hand::nono:
It's so easy life to drag you down! I'm feeling very blue after yesterday. Usually I stay away from the news (these by independent journalist online are the only that I trust), but I just have to go and check yesterday!
It's terrifying!! After 2 months without work and in front of the holidays, number of robberies is jump, almost every week some of them is finished with murder. There have been inspections in the stores and people continued to wear their masks at wrong way, and don't follow rules for hygiene and distancing. Stores are full with crowds (pretending they keep distance). I'm not sure did I had to post today at all.
I had to distract myself so I searched the albums for old Christmas memories. And I hate that!!! They are so full with memories for lost beloveds.
I wasn't able to concentrate on anything today. I'm not sure did I had to post today at all. Sorry for that!

Chris, probably we never will be on the same opinion, about vaccines, the honesty of TV news, AND I still think you're worrier! But it was pleasure to debate this. I always keep in my mind that just because corruption is constant here, that not mean that it could be different in your country!
But believe me if you are right and these vaccines resolve this crisis you can rub my nose every day of 2022! At the way I see it 2021 will be so bad as present year was, as 2020 put lots of infantry mines for it, and I still think it's mistake to postpone our life!

Good morning ladies. I ended up not decorating the tree last night and will play it by ear, maybe I'll put a bit on later today or not. I'm not too concerned about it. We all felt a little bit better last night as we'd had time to let things settle. We watched a couple of our fave shows (Seal and Swat) and then went to bed early. I actually had a really good sleep for a change, wasn't expecting that.

This morning I got my scraplift page done. Scrapping about Taz puts a smile on my face so I'm glad I did it.

Chris - you are so busy but somehow you always get it all done.
Felis - it's hard to be cheery, watching the news, what is going on all around us. We watch a bit and then back away from it for a few days so we don't get too overwhelmed. I am trying to be positive about 2021 coming and being a better year.

I'm going to go post my challenge page now. Have a good day everyone. BFN

Morning everyone!! I have been on face time with Heather and Hunter for over an hour, lots of chatting with Heather as Hunter was not in the mood to talk to his Grandma right away. But later he decided that we needed to read some stories, he choose some Elmo stories and so we read a few of those. He then started to show me all his Christmas decorations and he wanted to see ours, so cute!! That little man sure warms my heart! Today will be spent ordering groceries on line and I really want to do the Day 10 challenge, it looks so fun!! I am like Chris and have not been much of a CheeryO lately. However I am pretty much caught up with my decorating and present wrapping so I think its time to smarten up and get busy here!! Tomorrow is our Son's 42nd birthday, OMG how did that happen?? Hopefully his card and gift arrived in time for his big day! We will have to face time with the family in the evening!

Chris - You will be a very busy lady today! I hope that you manage to get it all done (I am sure it will come together for you!) Sounds like you had a pretty productive day yesterday! Hope you can decide who will get the beautiful wool scarf!! Perhaps a nice little giftie for yourself? Yes the candle does smell like the real thing! I only buy the little tin candle as the others are very expensive, but it lasts me the whole Christmas season for $10 its a pretty good deal! I just heard from Heather that Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for Covid 19. The vaccine can not come soon enough!! We hope to start to immunize next week.

Felis - I am so sorry that you are feeling down in the dumps today! I can totally relate! The news is not great anywhere these days is it! I hope that you find something today that makes your heart a bit happier! We are here for you sweetie, never forget that! Just looking at your AVI puts me in a better place every time I see it!!

Rae - Oh my goodness, my heart is breaking for you, my friend!! How terrible that you can't be there to wrap your arms around your loved ones! Thank goodness you could at least have a zoom meeting, but I know that its just not the same! No wonder you don't feel like decorating, take time to grieve, yes this dam year can't end fast enough!! Hope that scrapping will give you some joy today!

Cheryl - Glad that you stayed put and kept yourself and others safe! My little Hunter is 3 1/2 years old, that age that they can be so cute one minute and little terrors the next LOL.
I have four grands, Hunter is the youngest, his brother Mason is 7. My son's two are Isaac who is 12 and our only granddaughter Sadie who is 10 years old. I miss them all so much! Yes I am a consultant with Norwex and have been using it for about 20 years now. No chemical cleaners in my house anymore. You can clean with our cloths with just water.

Kay - You had a very busy day yesterday! No wonder you are dragging a bit! Love your challenge that is on today and looks like many others are loving it too! Can't wait to play!

Ok I better get dressed and then get my on line shopping done so I can have a good pick up time either today or tomorrow. Hope everyone finds something that puts a smile on their faces today!

Good afternoon my lovlies. I'm feeling SO much better today!

Trudy and Chris, Ava drove all the way to Muskogee and they didn't have the stone I want, either. The Lowe's here doesn't even carry it, but at least we can order it, which is happening today. Yes, I'm lucky that I have her to help me out.

Trudy, thanks for telling me about your grands. No wonder Hunter will talk to you (well most of the time) and you read stories. When Asher was his age, he was glued to my side. I literally couldn't get away from him. He and his mother lived with us from the time he was a baby until about a year ago, though, so I was always right there. We had SO much fun during those years and did crafts almost every day. What a wonderful age that is!

Felis, I'm so sorry that you're so down today. I can certainly relate! Things are just so out of control all over the world and I start dwelling on it, I don't want to put one foot in front of the other. Sending you lots and lots of hugs.

Chris, your posts always make me smile - even when you're being an "Un-Cheery-O". LOL Magic bras and naughty flakes????? :loco::loco:

Rae, I'm so sorry for your loss. It has to be so terribly hard to not be with your loved ones right now. Sending you cyber hugs.

Chris, I totally agree with you about Amazon! I'm so angry over that Bezos being like the 3rd richest person! He owns all of us and now with covid, we've all had to depend on him even more. Now he's buying up everything he can get his hands on. The delivery services are all in this with him too. Grrrrrrrrr don't get me started. ALWAYS - in any crisis/war/etc. the rich only get richer!!! We should all boycott A-Z when this is over if it ever is. Shut up Cheryl. :fish: I talk too much, too. :tape2:

On that note - :amen:

We have had it all in the weather dept today. Woke up to cloudy skies - with some wind... then rain which turned into snow! Got about 1" then the sun came out and over half of it melted away. Then back to rain and might have more snow.

I decided to fix cabbage rolls so was busily mixing the meat, rice, onions together with my hands. Felt a pain in the middle finger on my right hand but kept going. Finally looked at it - I tore the nail on the middle finger .... 1/3 down on the nailbed and over halfway across it. Guess pushing the ingredients together with my fingers, the cold meat and my long nails put too much pressure on that nail. So had to stop and do first-aid on it. I super-glued it, then added padding and tightly wound a couple of strips of tape around it. Then slipped on a medical grade rubber glove before I went back to cooking. They are on cooking and it smells so wonderful! But.. OUCH!!! it hurts everything that finger touches anything.

I am hostess for the Border Edge challenge today so have more typing to do to leave comments in the gallery.

Sorry for the short post.
