Special days all around!
Today I started dating MMG ..... 21 years ago! yikes!!!! As Gary likes to joke- our relationship can now legally drink.
Its also one of my friend's b-days and it is Pres. Obama's. As sad as I am in my county's direction, he is still my pres. and I wish him many more b-days.

Anyhow, yesterday was a busy day. Scott came food shopping with me, and I guess I was crankier than usual. he was chatting and joking and I kept getting distracted. I ended up snapping at him that he couldn't come with me again. :(
Then we raced off to the lake (cait and I) to get some swim time in before the rain came. She still is feeling cruddy, so we left, I came home, did some CT scrapping and cleaned some more of my house.
Next thing I know, its bedtime LOL

Today is cleaning for my one client and hopefully the lake. My friend whose b-day is today is going to and I was hoping to celebrate with her by ordering french fries from the snack bar. Its raining now, so I hope the sun comes out soon.

What are you all doing today?
Have a great one!!!!

Hi laurie! Any news on FIL today?
I have checked out savingdinner.com, but IIRC you have to pay to get the emails? I think I had looked at some of the sample ones when I was doing FLYLady and my picky kids wouldn't eat much of it either.
So sorry about your friend- her pain is unimaginable.
Hope that you have/had a great time at the Amish wedding!

Nana Linda!!! hugs my sweet friend, I miss you so very much!!! I am always up for :tea: and talking!
Is your life calming down a bit yet? i truly hope so. You are way to young to be feeling old. (Although I totally get where you are coming from)

Clara- good luck with all of your wedding plans!

xoxo to everyone.

Oh! Temptation on Thursday.....
I would love love looove to grab the credit card, a suitcase and MMG and run off to some island for a long weekend. Doesn't that sound great? ahhh. dreams!

Well, right now- quiet in the hotel room- getting my coffee in, then headed to the treadmill for my 2 mi walk, hopefully some scrapping, but definitely a trip to wally world for a wedding card for the amish couple, and a curling iron for travel as I left mine home. The wedding reception is at 1pm it will include milling around outside waiting to be told to be seated, sitting at the English table which like the others will be all set with a bagged slice of homemade bread on the plate and either amish peanut butter or maple butter, a variety of salads and then chicken, potatoes and gravy, followed by desserts. As the meal begins to close some boys will come shaking pans with change in them to collect money to pay the servers who will begin cleaning up as we sit there and as the men start singing from their hymnals in dutch german. Then outside we will go and sit and visit- well I sit and watch- the bride will come out and pass out candy while the groom passes out cigars. The candy is a big hit among the children as well as their mothers. The young men may play volleyball with the net strung over two buggies, and the young girls will certainly be watching.

After that, who knows- supposed to go to dance practice. We shall see.

Chris!! WE were posting at the same time. FIL is progressing better than the doctors suspected. He should move out of ICU today and as I requested from my SIL we are getting daily updates, then I am updating his caringbridge.org site so other family not on the list can follow his progress and leave him messages.
