Hello everyone! Slow and lazy me today. I am not working again (grrrr) so i slept a bit late and hope to catch up on life today.

I got some really amazing shots yesterday of the wolves. Soooo happy! I took almost 100 so there were bound to be a few good ones in there :D I had on my zoom lens and shot in AV mode and the fences didn't even show up in some. You have to shoot through 2 chain-link fences. i got one beautifukl shot of two heads together but the fences show up, so maybe I can see what i can do in photo shop-
Best part-- when the owner of the preserve got them all howling to her. 24 wolves, *chills*

Then to finish off my Nature Day, the mama and her cubs came by my house last night. I heard one of them "crying" and I thought maybe it was stuck or hurt. So I grabbed a flashlight, and hung out of my bathroom window until I was able to see her. There is a tree whose branches literally touch my window and the last cub was still up in that tree. Mama must have thought I was nuts b/c I was talking to the cub as it came down from the tree. I had to count them to make sure she had them all. LOL

No pictures of them, since it was too dark, and I still have to scrap the ones I got last week.

Temptation on Thursday
Am I so boring that I don't even have a temptation? I would like to get my hair cut and colored- its been since the holidays that I had it done last I think. I am waiting on the girl who normally comes to my house to email me back, but I think I am going to have to find someone new since she hasn't gotten back to me in a while.

Good morning....up since 3 am...a bit grumpy....but I am happy...I AM GOING TO HAVE COFFEE WITH MY MOM AND DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris...your day sounds like it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would have love to have seen those wolves (howling too). But more.....................I WOULD HAVE LOVE TO HAVE SEEN YOU hanging out of the bathroom window talking to the bear cub!! CUTE!!!!!!


Trudy....GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD LUCK TO YOU SWEETIE!!!! If that job doesn't work out, then I KNOW there is one more perfect for you!!!! (((HUGS)))) OOH we have had lots of rain..so our trees are still green...still cutting the grass every week.....but we had a Summer like that a couple of years ago....the color came in early Sept and only lasted a couple of weeks..by Oct...everything was dead and brown!!! Which is sad..because one of the awesome things about living in the mountains....FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there Phyllis! Seriously, wolves are the most gorgeous animal ever. When Gary and I first moved in our house (as in the day we moved in here), we had the opportunity to rescue two Husky pups. 8 month old sisters that had never been trained. And our house was a handyman special and needed *lots* of work. The dogs were just beautiful and sweet and *destructive.* Got to the point where it was either them or the house. Thankfully-- the people who installed the carpet wanted one and his neighbor wanted the other. So we learned the hard way that we needed a dog with a little less "wild" in them LOL
Its been cold here in the mornings too!! I am not ready to give up summer so its a bummer to me, but I know Gary is thrilled. What neat stuff did you find for Abigail?

Nana- yay for the school bus and 7 hours of "alone" time! :D

The weather has been weird all over. The preserve owner was talking about how the foxes they have will lose and grow different length/amounts of undercoat prior to winter/spring. I asked her if she had noticed any "odd" changes in that with the last couple of winters having such weird weather patterns. (2010 we had record amounts of snow and a blizzard, 2011, we had a 19" freak snowstorm in Oct. and then only about an additional 4-5 inches over the rest of the winter and very warm temps, including 70-80 degrees in March). She said that the foxes grew in their winter coats in August last year but never got any thicker after the October storm. She also said that they are getting their winter coats in early again this year-- could be a hard winter??

Trudy- UGGGHHHH!!!!! I wish I could tell your boss off for you :rant: He is going to lose his best worker. Maybe he will come to his senses??
You should call in sick every time, the day after he schedules you a full day. Tell him you need recovery time.... good luck finding something else that is perfect for you!

Thursday already?! What happened to this week? I'm a bit p*ssed about the child psychiatrist clinic. We decided last Friday on the meeting that they would call us to scedule a first visit for John. They would decide which "psycho" that should take on John's case and come to our house for a first visit. Guess how many times they've called?!?! big fat ZERO

This is sooooo sick. It's law in Sweden that kids have to go to school (first 9 grades). One would think that it was important to get John going, right? As if anyone cares?!! He already missed all 8th grade and has to redo that. But he can't start until he's feeling better. Soon I tell them all to #&¤(/&¤"%#5! It's only the school nurse that I feel have a genuine interest in John, and making him feel better.

My own life? Do I have one? Well, I try and get some scrapping done. And I want to finish my audiobook. Guess I'll do some ironing and listen to it. Great to be able to combine chores with something fun (like a murder story LOL). I have a package to pick up. Won an auction on a Swedish auction site (like eBay) - lots of yarn. Might take the bike and go get it soon. I'm just not a happy lady right now - grumpy old me.

Hi there .... weeeew .... summer when you live in a popular place is such a busy thing !!!!
I haven't done half the stuff I'd planned to do and now the holiday period is nearly over already ... I feel dizzy ! LOL
The good thing is, things are getting back to normal and I'm going to get my scrap time back ;)

Chris, don't forget to show us a photo when you get your new hairdo ;)

morning O fam- obviously a busy work week as this is the first time I could stop in here- I think- out the door early and home late- we are being bought out and there is much to do before the change over date- including applying for my job and having a thorough physical- which will tell me- I am at risk for heart issues and diabetes and I am overweight- can't wait- well it is making me treadmill every am as that helps me keep my sanity! Today, cleaning, scrapping and working with grapes- jelly I hope!!
 
oh yeah and ... turning one year older in the middle of all of it was so not fun as well .... :tsk:
maybe I'll go grumpy just like eva now that I think of it ... LOL
 
Laurie - Oh you do seem to have quite a lot on your plate ! good luck with all of it.
 
Morning ladies... I survived the day yesterday and then looked at the work schedule for next week and Mr. Wonderful (my boss) scheduled me for Tuesday, my regular day off :rant: so I stormed in his office and told him no way was I working Tuesday!! He then proceeded to tell me that it was my friend Gerrie's fault, that she said I wouldn't mind working that day, the liar!! I called my friend on her cell phone as she was on her way home and she swore to me that they had never discussed any such thing. What did he think? That we as good friends never talk to one another?? What an idiot!! So needless to say he took me off the schedule for Tuesday. Not sure what my girlfriend is going to say to him today, but hopefully she gives him and earfull!!

Chris - Can't wait to see your pictures of those beautiful wolves!! Must have been an exciting experience listening to them all howl! Did the hair on the back of your neck stand up?? When DH and I used to camp, we would hear them at night and it always gave me the chills!! Enjoy your day off of working today, hope you catch up on life today!!

Nana Linda - Up since 3am?? You are gonna crash and burn this afternoon girl!! Enjoy coffee with your Mom and Dad give them a big :hug: from all of us here at the "O" oh and one for you too :hug:

Eva - Gosh I hope your not as grumpy as your picture!! LOL That really sucks that the physio people can't be bothered to get back to you!! If I was you I would be phoning and driving them crazy!! Phone everyday until they can't stand hearing from you anymore!! That's what I had to do to get some real action going for my daughter when she needed it, they seem to think they can sweep you under the rug sometimes and I know that they are all busy, overworked and all that, but this is your child and you want some results!!! :rant: Ok I have said my two cents worth I will shut up now :tape:

Marie - How nice to see you in here again after what must have been a very busy summer for you!! Don't be grumpy about getting one year older, be happy, because like fine wine you only improve with age!!

Laurie - With working out on the treadmill as much as you do, I am sure you will pass the test with flying colors! All that dancing should have paid off too! I know you will do just fine with your physical! Hope the new owners know how lucky they will be to have you on their staff!!

Well I don't work until 12:15 today, so I get to spend some time here today and hopefully fit a walk in too!! I really need to finish reading my book "The Magic" hopefully it will improve my attitude and bring in all good things to my life!! Have a great day everyone and do something great today!! :wave:

Eva, you totally KILL me. :rofl:

i'm going to be brief today. i cleaned the whole house since 5:30 a.m., (up at 4:30 a.m. because someone in the neighborhood just HAD to go somewhere and it HAD to be on a Harley Davidson....) with a few breaks, and now i feel like crap. so. hope everyone "enjoyed" their crabby day!! talk to ya tomorrow....:faint2:
