CHEERY O
Need more coffee. But can I get it iced? Please?? And I think I deserve some whipped cream on top.
We need lots of coffee smilies so imagine them right here~~~>

I was wide away for my usual 2 am insomnia bout when the weather alarm went off on my phone. It was another tornado warning. That is the second one this summer. One was weird enough, but another? Way too strange. At any rate, that had me wide awake, and then when the storm came through, there was no way I was going to be able to get back to sleep. It eventually passed and no tornado at my house. It still took me forever to get back to sleep although I guess that shouldn't be too surprising. Then I ended up waking back up at 6 am and couldn't fall back asleep so here I am.

I didn't do much of anything -- food shooing was fine, family is fine. I did get the mulch down around the azalea and I will need to put some more out today because we have a possible tropical storm/hurricane watch this weekend. I was worried about the plants that I had on the patio table last night so I will put them in the greenhouse. Oh darn, if it is going to be a hurricane, I am going to take that down. Ahhhhggghhh too much for my sleepy brain to think about.

So after I get home from my friend's, I am going to take a nice long shower and maybe putter around a bit.

Hope you have a fun day ahead!

@Cherylndesigns I don't blame you all for not wanting to go back to Tulsa any time soon, but I am sure in time you will get back. That is a big relief the county that Steph lives in is mandating masks and that will take pressure off of her dealing with the ex.
I adore that LO and thank you so much for tagging me! You and Ava are truly "wild flowers" aren't you? *G*
Daylilies sure will fill in any empty spaces quickly. But they do so well when you split them up.

@bcgall00 I loved seeing the photos of the dogs playing together on FB. They were incredible- please tell me that you do take blurry pictures on occasion and they aren't all perfect! haha!! Is it exciting or nervewracking (or both?) when you think of retiring? I would think both if it were me.
OMG that Remi is so smart and cute-- what will she do when the time changes and her feeding times change too? She is going to be just as bad as a baby :D
Good to hear that you and D are staying safe with masks. How is Jen doing, and Bailey?

@nancyr It is really humid here today, I bet it has to be bad for you too, did you get bad storms overnight?
Caitlyn got the 14-day "countdown" email from her school yesterday. The summer really went so fast. I don't think she feels ready. Is DH feeling good about this semester?
Are you getting ready for Henri? How is your DS doing, I have been reading that a lot of vets are struggling with the Taliban taking over again. It has to be hard knowing that so many lives and bodies and mental health have been damaged over the last 20 years, and here we are. :(

Kay- that is a great idea with the old laptop but I can imagine that heart attack you had when saw it updating! Gah! what a relief it didn't mess anything up (for a change!) My local Walgreens sent an email that flu shots are available here. I am going to get one in Sept.

Cheryl-- that lily is a monster! Good luck digging it up.

Hi Jean!!

@tanteva have a nice day at work!

Quick in and out this AM... the back is paying me back for running errands yesterday. Got my 1st Shingles shot yesterday and then did my grocery shopping. Like having the Pharmacy in Smith's as I had to stick around for 15-20 minutes after the shot. The arm is sore and feeling tired but it was to be expected. The Pharmacy has not received the annual flu shots yet. Waiting to hear when we can get the Covid booster. DD#1 got both in AZ yesterday. Hope I can get mine soon.

Chris, I was worried about your area when I watched the weather channel late yesterday. Sounds like that storm went right over your area last night. Yikes... hope the Henri stays off the coast and misses you. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Yes, batten down the hatches and move all the stuff that could be blown around inside somewhere. Been through some Tropical Storms and hurricanes... not fun at all. <<< hugs >>>
Yes, it was a relief that the Windows10 up-grade on the old computer didn't keep the Works DB from working. Managed to finish the DVD Movies inventory - now to get it printed out. Need to get the printer to work wirelessly as it is hard-wired into my computer right now. Will get DD#3 to help me get that done as I have 4 computers that may need to use the printer.

Cheryl, that is some large plant!!! The leaves look a bit like Day Lilies but I don't see any lilies. Good luck on it surviving the transplant. The Day Lilies bulbs I planted in the pots didn't survive... think they were too old. Will try again next spring.

Good afternoon all.

Chris @faerywings I took a chapter out of your playbook - hardly slept all night. I don't know what was wrong, because that's rare for me. I woke up every 2 hours and finally got up and took some Tylenol and then went to sleep - finally. I think it was about 6 am. Geez! Then, of course, I didn't want to get up.

Yes, Ava and I are are like wild flowers - I loved that I found that word art. She's my little flower child and I've always been a flower child - we're both free spirits, that's for sure. She looks identical to her mom, but acts identical to me. It's so freaky. Even the way we both clean/organize. I just tear everything out and start from scratch and go through stuff and put it back where it makes sense or get rid of it. She does the very same thing. Of course, I have to remember that she was attached to my side every weekend (at least) while she was growing up. She loved to just sit in my scraproom and "play" and make her layouts and art. We had the best time!

Kay @BrightEyes sorry your back is still barking. Mine if today - I'm pretty sure that's why I slept so poorly last night. I really overdid it trying to break up that huge plant! The lilies are down in it - I found them! I know now that something cross polinated with it! I had one heck of a time trying to break it up with my spade. I got some of it out, but I need to soak it good and loosen the dirt up. I can't use the hose, because it ruptured and our new one should arrive today, so I gave up. I had fronts all over the place though. I even hurt my left hand some way. That was some hard dirt and that darned plant (whatever it is) is stuck like glue.

I can't tell my hubby that I hurt myself or I'll never hear the end of it, so I'm just hobbling when he's not looking.

Alyssa called yesterday evening and wanted to raid the garden. It's about done for, but we did find about 10 tomatoes and she counted 30 green ones that were hiding in all the stems. One of the tomato plants is about dead, but the other two look decent. We found one more cucumber and the herbs still look good so I gave her some of those. My strawberries were an epic fail and so was my melon plant. They need room to spread out.

Chris, @faerywings I'm SO glad that you liked my LO. I tried to keep the picture the main focus, and still "country" it up. Thanks for your wonderful comments. You really "got it".

Hope this Thursday is good for everybody. Hugs all around.
