*flips calendar, takes a deep breath, convinces self it is "all good"*
Happy August! I still have well over a month of summer weather and that is what counts.
I am soooo darn tired. All of this running around wipes me out. I wonder if I will ever get my "normal" activity level back where it was before I got sick. Until then, at least I have coffee.
Yesterday was busy. I survived food shopping and cleaning. I spoke with my mom after her Drs appt with the ENT. I am teasing her that she doesn't need to go to Drs because everything that I tell her is correct. I just need a prescription pad (JK!!). This Dr told her that she has laryngeal acid reflux (OK-- I missed the laryngeal part), aggravated by post-nasal drip and an anxiety disorder. He suggested that at some point she might want to try an Rx of Xanax where I would see if Buspar is better (non-addictive).
I have dealt with so many medical issues within my family that I guess I recognize a lot of the common issues in others.
Some good news about Caitlyn's medical issues-- her Trypatse levels came back within normal limits which means depending on her base levels (still waiting on them) Mast Cell Activation Syndrome is less likely. Whew!!!! Still no ideas of what is causing the hives but this is good news.
Today is my last day of PT and I am thrilled to not have to keep driving back and forth. But wouldn't you know, yesterday my ankle was hurting really badly. M and T were fine, W not so much. I guess it is what it is.
Then Cait and I are taking her rats to the vet in the afternoon to check the lump that Cordelia has. It is scar tissue from her abscess but it is getting bigger. Since she will be away next week, she wants them checked out beforehand. But what a difference from last year. I was so stressed watching Muffin and Clover while she was camping. At that point, their tumors were so large and they were well over 2 years old. I was terrified that they would die while she was away and she was too. These girls are 9 months old and healthy. I gave them chickpeas last night for the first time and they *loved* them. I had made chickpea and cucumber salad for dinner and put aside some of it before I added the dressing. Ii let them pick out what they wanted from the bowl and they definitely prefered the chickpeas over the cucumber bits.
I am still waiting for my two mugs of coffee kick in. Ugh.
HAGD!!!
