GoooOd morning! How are all of you today?

Looks like our sunny and somewhat warm weather is gone for the next few days and we have rain, rain, rain. Last year we were in a drought, I wonder where the reservoir levels are at now. It seems that between all of the snow we had and then all of the rain this spring (if you want to call it spring), they should be overflowing.

I had good day yesterday. Everyone at the Center said how much they were going to miss me, and I got lots of hugs from everyone. I thanked them all so much for making the situation so much easier and that I was honestly going to miss them too. It sure is going to be weird not going there today. I have to go back on the 29th for a follow-up so I will see them again soon ;)
Today, I get to go food shopping, albeit without rushing to get home in time for my appt. It's the little things:)

My parents took me to a really nice Italian restaurant for lunch. It was the same one my mom took me to right before my surgery, so it had a nice symbolism of coming full circle. I had chicken stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto with a champagne sauce and a nice glass of pinot grigio to go with. :hungry:

I have my Lyme appt this afternoon, and I'll see what is up with that. The SW and Onc Nurse told me it could take up to 3 weeks to get back to "normal." arghhhh! Part of me just does NOT want to have to go back to work just yet but my checkbook is saying i might not have a choice.

Hope that you all have a wonderful day!

How did the Wait-Window Time go for you Phyllis? Hope that it wasn't too crazy.
Don't say that you feel your mortality, that makes me very sad :(
But I do hear ya on the 6 months of winter! Why is it still so cold?

Sara- hugs back. Horrible horrible news:( Has there been an announcement yet? I don't want to be the one to say if it is not appropriate.

Thanks Nancy! I am proud too. I wasn't sure that I was going to make it through but I did! Happy hockey watching and scrapping to you!

Trudy- I am the same way, I could just wander through the nursery and imagine all of the places the pretty plants could go. Thx for happy dancing with me!
The kids actually have a meeting with the principal today. He said he wanted to meet with Scott, a Student Council member and one other person involved in the protest so Scott picked Cait. (great... both Campbell kids *eye roll*) But yes, I am proud of them for stating their position and understanding the consequences of their actions. First step in civil disobedience for them? I know they would love to protest against Monsanto.:p

Morning O fam- much cleaning to do today, errands and going back to the ortho dr for my shoulder- it is better, but not best yet. I get to shop at Sams- I never get to go there alone- it is a hazard. Lawns need mowing, but that can wait till later. I best get hopping, only 3 hours til I leave for dr and so much to do!! I hope that you all have the great weather I am supposed to have- it will be in the 80's today- tan lotion!!

Woke up this morning feeling inspiration to write. I haven't touched my manuscript in months, but I actually got a chapter written. I have to get past my laziness, my - what should you call it - my need for being in "the right mood" for writing. I need to understand that I should write every day, even if I'm not in the mood. If I just sit down and start typing the words do come to me. Well, well, at this rate I might have a novel written by the time I'm 80.

Plans for tonight:
- thai take-away dinner
- finish knitting my top-down cardigan
- watch the 2nd semifinal of Eurovison

Morning ladies!

Chris - Glad the weather is better and your last day was as enjoyable as it could be. I believe there is going to be something in the Haps. So maybe after that??

Enjoy the weather and errands Laurie! We got up to 98 yesterday. Broke records. Then had a storm last night and it's gray, rainy, warm, and humid here today.

Eva - I love, love, love reading, but I don't like writing! I used to enjoy it a bit in jr. high and high school, but it's just not my thing! I'd rather read. I'll read your manuscript even if I'm 80. LOL

Fairly lazy day. No big things at work and no activities after school. Guess I'll have to do dishes, fold laundry, and pick up the house huh?

Better get going for the day. Big hugs to everyone!

good morning - it is raining but after today it should get nicer and Mother's day maybe near 80. WOW that would be so nice. So I went downtown and paid property taxes and sewer bill, then got lunch, then came home, went for a good walk then grocery shopping and made dinner. Just a simple carbonara but boy it was really good. The boys both went back for seconds so that made me feel good. And then the evening was watching the Penguins defeat the Rangers and scrap. So a good day. Today going out to dinner with my girlfriends so that should be fun.

Chris sounds like you final day was a success. Should be an experience for you kids to be in talking with the principal.

Laurie sounds like a busy day!

Phylis hope the couch came in a reasonable amount of time.

Eva glad you got more of your writing done! Yes sometimes you have to write even when not in the mood.

Sara you and Chris and your cryptic words have me worried.

Trudy I love walking through all the flowers too but I am not good at translating that to my own yard LOL. Funny about your rubber boots. Bruins can be much better so I expect them to win tonight.

Have a great day all!

Chris that sounds like a great lunch and good to see you had a good day yesterday and that you had last treatment. I hope your skin heals soon!

Good luck with all the cleaning Laurie and at the dr!

How great Eva you are writing!

Looks like a normal but still busy enough day Sara ...

That is nice Nancy, I hope you'll have a great diner with your friends!

It has been a while since I've been here. Not much changed for me, still hoping my divorce gets final soon, takes sooooooooooooooooooo long ... it's almost 11 months ago since my ex left. The kids hear little from him and they don't want to have a lot of contact with him themself .... sad .... but I also see that they are doing so much better now with him gone out of the everyday life :)

Ben is doing a bit better now, stil waiting for meds for him though but for him knowing that he has ADHD helped already a bit.

Wes is doing as well as can be expected, so that's great

Luc and Nik have started swimming lessons in an outside pool and it's not that warm here ... brrrr, but they are having fun. It adds to the already busy scedule here, they have to go 4 times a week at 6PM and normally we eat then. I'm just hoping they will get their diploma this summer ;)
At school they have a bit trouble keeping up, so we have to see if they will have to do this year over again ...

in short .... we are still busy busy and not there yet, but we are happy :)

Hi, ladies!

Life went beserk in April so I haven't stopped in here like I should. We had a 2 wk trip to visit the relatives and while there saw some specialists for me and one for DD to check on her extreme tiredness, skin flare-ups, fuzzy brain and etc. Turns out she is now really allergic to....dogs! And the doc said ZLS had to go!!!!! Aaaack!

Before it was cats but that isn't registering on the allergy scale and dogs (which were a mild allergen) has increased. EEEEEEEE!

Thus began some wild weeks as we looked at all the options, expense, etc. Since where we live makes the whole allergy shots pretty much impossible (we'd have to spend about 2-3 hrs a day -Daily shots to start - for a month going to the allergist when you factor in the commute, etc and then every week for 3-5 YEARS - specialist's best estimate) plus the expense....sigh... Lots of tears and denial and ugh... but after 2 wks of being away from Zoey, DD's breathing/congestion/fatigue/everything improved and she herself said she was feeling much better and that her symptoms must have just been increasing the longer Zoey was in the house. Even though Zoey was short-haired and hardly shed, it was the dander and ...this part I didn't know.. her saliva (doggie kisses or bites depending upon her mood) that have the allergens. ..sigh.. if only we had known. Long story short...Letting go was excruciating for DD but we asked the trainer if he would give Z a forever home with his pack and since he really likes Dobies and Z, he was happy to do so. So now, DD is healthy again, we can see that Z is happy with a fur family of her own 'cuz the trainer posts a lot on FB so anytime we want to check on her, we just log on and.....life is getting back to normal. We might look at a truly hypoallergenic dog when we move to a place where the whole process would be easier in terms of allergy treatment just in case but for now, it's okay. Planning some more trips for DD and keeping her busy.

Other than a hectic work schedule and trying to wind down the school year, life is zipping along.

CHRIS - Celebrating with you about being done! YAY!

Laurie - hope your shoulder gets better. Yay on sunsets and decks.

Eva - Whooot! Good for you about writing today. It's one more chapter done. :)

Sara - Wow, what wild weather you're having. The humidity part sounds...ugh (but that's 'cuz I'm always in humidity and wise I wasn't sometimes. ;) )

Nancy - Yay on the girlfriends get-to-gether. Those are a must for optimum health, you know. :)

Angela - Hey, I'm popping in today after being absent for a while so yay that there are 2 of us. :)

Morning sweet "O" friends! Our sunny weather has left us once more and it will be :rain: for the next couple of days, but they are saying nice weather for the weekend. That will be a switch because it has rained every weekend for the past 6 weeks :mmph:

Chris - Your lunch with you're parents sounds sooooo yummy!! Sounds like those people at the Cancer Centre are a great bunch!! How nice to get all those hugs!! But lets hope you never, ever have to go back there again!! Keep us informed about the visit to the principals office, those darn Campbell kids !! :becky: I know darn well they are two of the best!!!

Laurie - Don't spend your whole day off cleaning!! Enjoy your time alone and hope that the dr. appt goes well and that your shoulder is getting better!! Enjoy your lovely warm weather and that bottle of wine today!!

Eva - Hooray for getting back to your writing!! Enjoy your thai food and hope that the sun is shining for your day today!!

Sara - Yikes warm temps for you!! I hate the humidity, it gets so humid in Ontario where my DD is living and it just drains me!! That is why I am bringing her and Mason back home with me so they can get out of that darn humid weather and enjoy being outside with out being drenched in sweat all the time. Hope your day at work is enjoyable!

Nancy - Sounds like you had a nice and productive day yesterday! Yes we are hoping that those Bruins will actually show up to play tonight!! Keep cheering for them maybe they will actually hear you this time!! Go Bruins

Angela - Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your divorce is finalized very soon!! Sounds like you are doing an amazing job with those boys of yours, you have your hands full I am sure, but I bet you are much happier now! That is what matters the most, when the stress of an unhappy life is gone, everyone benefits it is a tough go for you as a single mom, but it sounds like you are doing an awesome job!!

Phylis - Hello my friend, hope you are feeling happier today and that the weather will actually be warm and sunny for a change!!

Ok my stomach is growling and I need another cup of coffee to get me going, then a bit of cleaning and hopefully out to find a cover for my Kobo tablet and perhaps a piece of luggage for my trip. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I find something nice that is actually affordable :becky: Hope your day is blessed with good things!!

lOve the O!
so- very quick dr appt- next week early in the morning I will have an MRI to really see what is going on. I am better, but cannot reach up overhead, like you would to grab a box of light food off a top shelf in the kitchen, without pain. Then I will see the dr, then I will drive an hour to see the dentist, then I will get my hair done, then I will .....yikes- go out to dinner- what a day that will be. But I should know then if I have a need for surgery or not.

Feeling at hOme!
Hi there! It's been a long time since I haven't checked here, although I'm often reading your news.

Nothing much exciting going on right now, just the daily routine. Today was a bank holiday here in France, so I enjoyed a lunch at one of my friend's home.
I finished my course in rewriting and have received my diploma yesterday. Yeah me!!

Now I only have the English course running til the end of June. Although it might not seem obvious in my writings, I made a lot of progress at speaking because we practised a lot. I am quite surprised how many students gave up during this course: in October, we started with around 30 people, and now there are but only 6 students still coming! OK, the fees are very low since it's organized by the Parisian administration (only €160 for a school year with 2 hours a week), but as far as I am concerned, I cannot afford to squander money.

Lots of posts today! Eva, sorry about the snow but we're having what I call the first day of summer or at least the first day to warm past 80 degrees F. We got up early (for us) and spent the morning and more birding as the warm weather brings those spring migrants. We saw a lot of birds. You would have liked all the brilliant and vocal Baltimore Orioles we saw.

Hope everyone has as nice a day, if not today, soon!
