Good morning!

Do you ever wake up and find that you literally cannot focus on one thing for more than a few seconds? Yeah, same here. I have been mentally bouncing all over the place right now. *boing*
:autumn:<~Actual brain activity as seen on an EEG

The weather has been amazing and I wish I could get out and work in the gardens. I am seeing so much green under the leaves. I am also seeing a lot of brown, I don't think my thyme made it through the winter. The lavender next to it looks ok, but the thyme, nope. I am not seeing any greening up. The extreme cold must have killed a bunch of stuff that usually makes it through. As soon as I can get on a ladder, I have to do some pruning on the rhodo as well. It is still alive but has lots of dead branches.
I took done the feeders and scrubbed/refilled them and then I set my boots, hat, hoodie, and backpack in the driveway and sprayed them with Permethrin. (die, ticks, die)
And get this!! (Sit down, you aren't going to believe it!)

I sat down outside for a while. And relaxed! I only lasted about 10 minutes or so but I was impressed.

It is supposed to get hot(ish) this afternoon, upper 70s. I am off to work for field trip training and tomorrow is my first field trip group. I checked the schedule and I have to talk to Lauren about it. I am supposed to be helping with a rotation on geology but it is all hiking. I have see if I can swap it with maybe the native species one. That involves a short hike-- not even a hike, more of a steeper walk. I think I can do that.

I hope you enjoy your day!! Hugs!

@MariJ That sounds brutal about the end of your trip to AU. I can't imagine being in pain and on a flight that long. Perserverance (stubbornness in my case, yours too?) can only get you so far ;)

@vickyday Did your scrap ideas stick around until you were ready to sit down and scrap? My ideas on any topic typically come to me in the middle of the night. Which means, poof! They are gone when I wake up.
The hummingbird tracker is reporting sightings in central NY state so they must be in your area already, too. I am so impatient to see them.

@AK_Tracy How are you feeling today after all of the pizza making? I hope that you took plenty of breaks and have a quiet day today.

@BrightEyes woah! That is a long time to be sleeping. I hope that your allergies calm down soon even though I know that's doubtful.
Think of all the open space you will have from more books and DVDs once you throw out all of the VHS tapes :giggle4:
I am so glad that Leslie is hanging in and has good support friendships. :hug2:

Wishing all of you a fantastic day!

@AK_Tracy Thats allot of pizza dough to make. I hope your sidekick enjoys it as much as you do. I'm sure it was a huge success. Make sure you let us know how it worked out.

@BrightEyes so glad you got the rest you needed and are feeling better but don't overdo it with yourDVD clean out.

@faerywings You are always doing some project cleaning the bird feeders is a great project. Sad your thyme doesn't look good but don't give up just yet I got my fingers crossed for you. Thanks for reminding me we will be heading N into tick territory this summer--ugh.

Yesterday I went to breakfast with 2 friends...fabulous chat and great food. Then I came home and 3 more friends were waiting for me to go thrift shopping and lunch. Off we went to shop one of my least favorite things to do! I found 3 tops that will be great for Germany--won't wrinkle and the cutest plate for serving with a lighthouse in the middle all this for 24$ I might start shopping more, it was fun. Maybe it was the friends I was with! Our lunch at the Nauti Oar was fabulous....just salad for me after my big breakfast. We had so many laughs- I'm so lucky to have such good friends, I love all my Florida sisters. When I got back I helped Jay work on the shed rebuild project...Just 2 doors to make and then paint it. After that we sat out on the patio and I grabbed my camera. He put the irrigation on and sure enough that precious little bird was back to play on the wet fig leaves. Some of the pics are on FB and 2 pages in my gallery. Come to find out it is a Cape May Warbler which is probably migrating N. I was thrilled to be able to photograph it. Also had the red bellied woodpecker, mocking bird, cardinals and the every day blue heron, snowy egret, great white egret, muscovy and mallard ducks. So @faerywings I did get some cute pics.
Today I get the last gel shots in my knees then I plan to get out the leaf vacuum to clean up leaves from the magnolia tree. Tonight is trivia so we will have an early dinner before going to the club.

I hope you all have a great day.

Morning, all. It is already in the 60's... sunshine and a few clouds. Beautiful spring morning!! :claphands: I did get another shelf in the cabinet emptied yesterday. It dawned on me that I should take the paper covers off the VSH tapes and put them in the recycle. That reduces the weight of the tapes a lot!! The trash truck was just here -7:30AM so I will move the bin back to the side of the house. I hope to get all the VHS tapes done and in the trash bin today. The recycle truck usually doesn't get here until late in the afternoon so if I work at it I might get all the covers separated from the tapes and in the bin before the truck comes. Recycle only gets picked up every other week.

The allergies were not quite as bad yesterday and seems to be better today, thank goodness. But I am sure they will be bad this weekend as they are already talking about high winds both days.

Off to get my shower, get dressed and get started on the VHS clean-out. BBL

What a great idea to swap trips. Better to be safe and not injure the foot. Doc said be careful and gradual and youre being smart about that.

How are you feeling today after all of the pizza making?

Pizza night. Wore OUT! No breaks just constant movement and work. So much fun but so much work!! We barely had enough. We made 10 pepperoni and 6 cheese pizzas then I had two custom made ones for my volunteers. At the end of the night I always box up leftovers and give them away. Not last night. I had two slices of cheese left and someone came in and asked if we had any left as so and so didn't get to eat because they were late. We fed 189 people last night. Our average for the year was 160. I should have made a bit more pizza but at Christmas I made 18 and we had 4 whole pizzas left over. Guess end of year more people came. We've never served 189 people. We got up to 173 one night but never 189. I was shocked. We had to wash plates to reuse them.Totally insane but fun.

I might start shopping more, it was fun. Maybe it was the friends I was with!
Yes, who you shop with matters LOL My MIL and I have the most fun shopping. So much laughter and great times.

Today is a slow day which I need after yesterday. Just the dentist to adjust a filling and then nothing. The sun is trying to come out. Might get to porch sit this afternoon. Birds are returning, the lake is rotten as can be and should be out soon, the trees are budding. Ahhhhh spring is here. The bees arrived this week (flew in from CA). Its officially spring when the bees arrive.

Okay, off to get some more coffee. Have a wonderful day.

Sometimes I feel like my brain is doing the same thing!

I'm definitely going to have to get the hummingbird feeder stocked up with nectar! I usually make my own, but I bought some powder mix at the Wild Birds Unlimited store the last time I stocked up on food.

Yes, the basic idea I had for my scrapping stuck until I got back to it and more ideas flowed as I worked! But, like you, if ideas come during the night or when I'm trying to go to sleep, they are gone by morning!

It definitely makes a difference who you shop with!

Good afternoon,
Not much going on today.
I've been listening to an audiobook, which I haven't done in a while.
I've probably worked more CP pre-releases than I ever have this month! Love the colors!
Went to lunch with Mark. It has looked like rain all day, but nothing so far! It is supposed to rain through Saturday!
Continuing to do a little decluttering/reorganizing here and there. I need more boxes before I can do much more.
I really need to do some more challenges! Just can't get motivated with any of them! Even the Big Photo one which I usually love doing!
Have a great afternoon!

Taking a break... been busy all morning! Got the one VSH cabinet emptied and the small pull-out drawer in the Master Bedroom TV unit. The recycle bin is now full of the VSH paper covers so I quit. I discovered that there is a 2nd row of tapes behind the the ones on the upper shelf plus another shelf of them in the MB. Those will just have to wait for another week as the trash bin is almost too heavy for me to handle... Thank goodness I usually only have 1-2 bags of trash a week. I was going to change the sheets but the right shoulder is aching from pulling the tapes out of the covers. Going to put the heatable neck pillow in the microwave and use it on the shoulder. I had to do that yesterday, too. I do need to take the down comforter off the bed as I ended up sleeping on top of it last night.

You have just described my entire week. I think Easter and missing Christian's birthday, even though it kept me out of the viper's pit, through me off a bit. First time anything is hard. Tuesday was a track meet and OMG, we actually didn't freeze ! Sunshine and 70. I took a bunch of pictures, but trying to get volleyball pics scrapped first. Tonight is baseball, it's only 57° now and supposed to be cooler later, with rain so it should be interesting- Wendell is off running a bunch of errands and he's going to pick up a Dairy Queen cake and after the baseball game we're going out to Christian's mom's to celebrate his birthday and take him his presents.

@tanteva all I can say is "yuck" unless it's actually supposed to be winter where you are.

Lunch time, another cup of coffee, and then I need to finish that page I started.

Oh I bet it feels good to get this done (for today) and see all that space you can now use for DVD and books. Sounds like a ton of work though so dont over use that shoulder.

Heat wave! LOL 57*. Hope it doesn't rain and youre able to enjoy the game dry and warm.

The only thing I can say is.....you are going to have a hard time choosing which ones NOT to buy! ;)

Finally popping in here to say :wavinghello: but it will be short and sweet as the deck reno continues today, they should be done by 2pm. The back deck is complete and they are working on the front one now. No railings for the front deck until sometime next week, that's ok I am just so happy to have this done before the kids come home at the end of June! I made a big pot of turkey soup this morning and this afternoon I will be pulling a few more weeds and working on a colour play layout. Sorry I haven't checked in before this, but I know you know that it is a busy time for us right now. I just wanted to say hey and hope that you all have a wonderful Thursday! We are having summer weather today, but not sure how much longer that will last! I hope everyone is having a :sunnyeyes:day!! :waving3:
