Good morning!
Do you ever wake up and find that you literally cannot focus on one thing for more than a few seconds? Yeah, same here. I have been mentally bouncing all over the place right now. *boing*
<~Actual brain activity as seen on an EEG
The weather has been amazing and I wish I could get out and work in the gardens. I am seeing so much green under the leaves. I am also seeing a lot of brown, I don't think my thyme made it through the winter. The lavender next to it looks ok, but the thyme, nope. I am not seeing any greening up. The extreme cold must have killed a bunch of stuff that usually makes it through. As soon as I can get on a ladder, I have to do some pruning on the rhodo as well. It is still alive but has lots of dead branches.
I took done the feeders and scrubbed/refilled them and then I set my boots, hat, hoodie, and backpack in the driveway and sprayed them with Permethrin. (die, ticks, die)
And get this!! (Sit down, you aren't going to believe it!)
I sat down outside for a while. And relaxed! I only lasted about 10 minutes or so but I was impressed.
It is supposed to get hot(ish) this afternoon, upper 70s. I am off to work for field trip training and tomorrow is my first field trip group. I checked the schedule and I have to talk to Lauren about it. I am supposed to be helping with a rotation on geology but it is all hiking. I have see if I can swap it with maybe the native species one. That involves a short hike-- not even a hike, more of a steeper walk. I think I can do that.
I hope you enjoy your day!! Hugs!
