The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning my O-zies! I hope that all of you are doing great!
It is a chilly morning at 35*F and we will only get up to about 48*. Every time I think that I should swap out some of the clothes in my closet, the weather changes again.

Long day yesterday again. When Cait gets stressed, her Lyme flares, and it affects her stomach, like Gary's does. She ended up going down to the nurse and threw up which meant I had to go and pick her up. We had decided before school that I wouldn't speak to the VP *yet* but after seeing her sick yet again, I felt that he needed to see what this is doing to her health. Unfortunately, he was in a meeting so I will try again another day. Not that he would be able to do anything, but it is important to me.

A friend of mine called me too- the teacher that was arrested was her son's math tutor and she was pretty shocked to hear of this. Then she said that her son had heard that the girl that was caught with him smoking pot was Cait's friend, and how wrong it was since she has a baby. (This girl got pg, had the baby and seems to be doing a damn good job of taking care of her, and getting her education. I haven't met her, but have talked to her through Caitlyn and the Mom in me wants to scoop her up and protect her as well). Anyway- the rumors are going around saying that it was her and that she should have her baby taken away. I couldn't say too much to my friend, but I did say that it absolutely was NOT her. Maybe that will get the rumors to go away.

Yeah, not so hopeful for that.:(

Today is gonna be another long day. We are finally going to see the kids' Lyme dr. We will be out the door at 7am, and hopefully will be back by 5pm.

Thank you for your support and your hugs-- they really and truly mean the world to me.

I am not sure if I will get to personals today but I have read them and I am cheering you all on!!

Hi O-zies !

That´s really a big story Chris and I´m so sorry for Cait that she feels so bad. Rumors are the most hateful thing, because they can destroy someones life . And sadly people belief rumors more than the truth. I hope everything goes well for you.

Morning all... :rain: for us today and a bit cool. I think it might be a good day to start the restoration of that antique standing mirror my sister gave to me? Swimming was great yesterday, not too many at the pool and I had a lane all to myself again! It is so nice to not have to worry about running into anyone!

Chris - I am hoping that all this just blows over very soon for Cait! Rumours are poisonous and like cancer they spread and destroy!! Unfortunately high school is the worst place for rumours!! Hope all goes well at the Lyme Dr. today and you make it home in record time!!

Astrid - Nice to see you here today! Are you soaking up the sunshine today??

It has been very quiet in here lately!! I do hope everyone is just busy with their springtime chores! Has anyone heard anything from Phylis lately?? I miss her!

Not much happening for me today, so I will start on the refinishing of that mirror and hopefully get a page or two done. I finished a page for the Digi Dares yesterday, that is always a good way to get your mojo back!! Have a great Thursday everyone and do something you love!!

good morning - a late hello! Had a great talk with my sister. I wished we lived closer. Tonight it might get down to freezing. Really! Had an awesome walk yesterday through our local park. The weather was awesome. Partly sunny in the 60s. Now today a cold front comes through and it is windy and only in the 50s. Still so fun to see all the blooming trees and flowers. Did get a page done and watched lots of hockey. Tonight I have 4 more games. Love this time of the year.

Chris I am so sorry this is so hard on Cait. It is so hard to be a teenager. But I am sure that just like Scott she will do well when this is all past.

Anika good to see you here.

Trudy so glad that you had a lane to yourself. My aunt helped me refinish a chest when I was young and I still have it. It is not antique or anything it is the memory of her helping me do it. I'm sure your mirror will turn out beautifully!

Phylis we miss you - come say hello!

Have a great day all!

The pool where I swim is at the nearby high school. It is sort of isolated at one end of the building, but I still hear students somewhere down a hall when I come/go. It sounds like a war zone. And this is a nice little suburban community. If nothing else should bring us to our knees in prayer, it should be over what goes on in public (private too!) schools. Chris, my prayer group is upholding you and your family, not only for the school issue, but for your health. May He have mercy. :'\

We had such a wonderful time with Clara yesterday. I love watching her grow and mature from week to week. I don't want to wish away ANY of these precious moments, but on the other hand, she just keeps getting cuter every week. Sorry. A little Grandma Moment there.

We got home just in time for our regular afternoon mocha, and for me to do a challenge layout, then turned around and met friends for dinner. DH and I have both learned to not order taco salads in restaurants any more. They don't meet my/our standard these days, it seems. But the fellowship was sweet.

It seems that for retired geezers with practically no obligations, we have been on the go quite a bit lately.

I ordered a lap-counter to take to the pool. I need goals at the moment, and this little device should help a lot. It's a row of beads on a tube, and you set it at the end of your lane, and move a bead over for each completed lap. This way I can just zone out while I'm swimming instead of repeating "lap 3 lap 3 lap 3," etc. the whole time.

Trudy, hope the refinishing goes well. I tried that "craft" many years ago...before kids...before money....LOL I was VERY bad at it, and didn't enjoy it. I so envy people like my friend Dorene. She finds ugly furniture at thrift stores, refinishes, then either uses or sells at a huge profit. AND she loves every minute of it. DH also hates refinishing furniture.

Nancy, hope you enjoy another night of wallowing in hockey! So much fun for you, I can tell.

Won't you come home, dear Phylis? Won't you come home? We moaned the whole day lo-ong! :sing:
