Yikes! Halfway through April already? That is so nuts!!!

Yesterday was a nice day here. I made it through 95% of the supermarket before I started shaking. I didn't need to lie down until 3.30. This is some massive improvement. I hope that the trend will continue. *fingers crossed*

I have a quiet day here, more puttering, hopefully inside and outside. I am still waiting on my latest blood work and alibrary book that I placed on Hold on Saturday.

I finished scrapping another page for Christopher's book, and it came out cute. I had started it the day before and was so blocked, but it all came together yesterday. Isn't it so odd how that can happen? I also have to prep my May challenge which I am pretty excited about.

I hope that all of you have more exciting plans today than I do. *giggle*

QOTD
I was drawing a blank on this, so I googled Fun QOTD-- here is the question that made me laugh.
What was your most embarrassing hair style?
When I was in college (late 80's) I had bleached my curly hair so much that the stuff inside the hair that makes it curl (can't think of the technical term :D) was stripped out. Since it was totally flat and this was the 1980's it was NO good! I went to a cheap salon and wanted just a body wave perm. The hairdresser didn't know to factor in the fact that my hair was so over-processed and left the perm solution on way too long.I ended up with poodle curls! I had almost white bleached hair and long poodle curls.Ack! I supposed I should be very happy that I had hair left at all! I know that I have a photo of that somewhere, I really have to find it and share.
I know Shar has a story about a bad haircut :hat:
Hope to hear some good ones from the rest of you!

good morning - Hockey play offs have started and they were all so different. It was a great night to see hockey again. Yesterday was filled with errands. Walked our forms to the accountant and then mailed in our checks to the IRS. Came home and went to grocery store. Then did some scrapping. Cooked dinner. And then enjoyed myself with hockey. It is just lovely walking as daffodils are in bloom, the magnolias are starting to bloom as are the forsythia bushes. Talked to my son and found I have a new errand. He cannot find the title to the Ranger that we sold so I have to go to DMV and get a replacement. Yuck. And then this am my son had to get his car to the dealership for a tune up as he is thinking of heading to DC this weekend. Well he was not pleased to be doing this felt I should. LOL.

Chris glad you are seeing improvements. That makes everything better when you can actually see that you are improving. So happy for you. Supposed to have a really nice day today and great weekend. Glad the scrapping went so well.

Sharon how did the day go with your GD. She sounds so cute! Glad you have a good weather day!

Trudy did you make it to an early swim? So glad you had such a sweet birthday! How fun to have your sisters come! Sorry about the tooth.

Jean glad your project is almost done. It is awesome to enjoy the spring!

Have a great day all!

Back for a quick visit- my morning isn't getting off to a great start ;)
The cold water handle of my bathroom faucet is busted. It had cracked years ago, Gary said that it wasn't fixable, so I just was careful when I turned it. Now the "insides" of it are totally broken into pieces so when I went to turn the handle on, everything went flying.
Then I got a phone call from the HS- not a problem at all, but something that Caitlyn is involved in that is good moral character, but I can't get into more detail than that. Let's just say both kids, full circle.... This one is going to be a bit more tricky :(
Sorry for being cryptic.
ugh...

So! Yesterday's Oooos

nancy- bet it felt good to get that packet all filed and out of the house.

Trudy- your b-day sounded like it was just lovely. I saw the flowers on FB and they were gorgeous! How did the dentist appt go?

Sharon- how was your time with Clara? And good for you!!!!! Did you make it to the pool to check it out? So darn proud of you!!!

Jean- I am sending good thoughts to your sister for her biopsy, hope it is all good news.
Maybe just ignore for a while and then something happens
 I LIKE that idea!!!!!!

Off to figure out what needs my attention most in my house!

lOve the O!
morning O fam- it was tax week- that is all I am saying. Sitting here watching a guy put pantry drawers in my mudroom closet- off the kitchen, then he will install dual pull out spice shelves in the cabinet near my stove. When he is done- I get to reorganize my kitchen. Hubby and I have decided we cannot afford to move at the moment. So we will continue to do things that will get the house in tip top shape for when we can afford to move, or we will more thoroughly enjoy our house!

Good morning all.

Wednesday With Clara was awesome. She is just the sweetest, chirpiest little lady...so interactive now, and jabbery with very serious-sounding communication.

BUT....terrible news for Clara's daddy (our DS). He got a call from his accountant that someone has fraudulently filed an income tax return with his name AND social security number!!!!!!!! =:O Found out this very thing happened to the son of a close friend a couple weeks ago. We're thinking it may be fallout from the big hack at Premera (sp?). Premera has stepped up and offering 2 years of free credit watch, so Andy got right on that. Fortunately, there has been no other activity yet. But it will mean a big delay before they get their tax return this year. And I wonder if he will have to be issued a new social security number. ??? What a mess. Such EVIL!

I went to check out the pool yesterday. Easy-peasy. I thought that since it was at the high school, there might be difficulties finding where it was, parking, etc. But NO! Everything is clearly marked, and there is parking set aside just for the pool. I won't have to go into the main part of the school at all. SOOOOOOOOOOO....tomorrow morning! I'm shooting for early on Mon., Wed., and Fri. I'm always up early anyway.

Chris: Faucet...is it something Gary can repair? Dave gets a very sour look on his face whenever there are plumbing issues, but has been able to address most of them. Hello Home Depot/Lowes/Ace....

Jean, hope all is well with your sis.

QOTD: I have had MANY bad hair cuts. One gal told me my hair was just so much fun to work with, she had trouble stopping! R E A L L Y ????? Just because I wear my hair short does not mean I want to look like one of the guys!

Well, we have a week of dry, sunny weather predicted! Hope it also gets warm enough to ride the bikes. I love spring. The trees almost all have those sweet chartreuse leaf buds on them now...so fresh...especially in the sunshine.

Morning ladies... I am a bit late arriving here, I decided to get my morning chores out of the way before sitting in front of my computer. So the dishwasher is empty, bed is made and I even cleaned one of the bathrooms already. Now I am ready to get dressed and head to the pool after I skype with my little sweetie and and DD. Yesterday's visit to the dentist went as I thought it would, she filed down the sharp bits that were cutting my tongue and then an X-ray which determined that the break was close to the nerve, but not close enough to warrant a root canal, thank goodness!! But I will need a crown, ugh!!

Chris - Glad you got through the majority of your shopping trip without the shakes!! So happy that your creative block moved aside so you could get that page done also! I am going to check it out soon! Hopefully you can get outside today and do some more gardening. That sucks that now you need to get new faucets!! Its always something, isn't it!

Nancy - Hope you are enjoying the hockey, we did not even watch much of it last night, DD and her man are Calgary fans and our Son is a big Vancouver Fan, so I am sure that they were texting each other throughout the whole game! I refuse to watch the Montreal Canadians, they just make my blood boil!! :becky: I did not make it to the pool yesterday, I talked way too long with DD and Mason and then had to get ready to head to the Dentist.

Laurie - Well if you are not moving, then how great that you get to have new things put into your house!! It will be so nice by the time you are all done, that you won't want to move ever!!

Sharon - I am jealous that you get to spend time with your Clara!! The other day I was skypeing with my Son and his family and Sadie said to me..."Grandma will you come to my house and have a tea party with me?" :hurt: I wanted to hop right on the plane and be there for her!! But darn it takes a whole day of travel by air and 4 hours of driving to get to her :hurt: I am so hoping that they get transferred back to the island in the next year!!
How great that you will be swimming soon!! Glad you found everything ok and that is nice that you do not have to go through the school!! The hardest part of going to laps is the getting your butt out the door to do it!! :becky:

QOTD - I went to a new hairdresser when I was invited to a wedding of a cousin of my DH's. We were just dating then and I decided to get a nice little perm so I would have these great relaxed curls. OMG she totally fried my hair and I looked like the wicked witch from the wizard of Oz!! I cried and cried, but my sister came to my rescue and she bought this stuff at the drugstore to totally remove the perm from my hair. Well with some careful styling with a curling iron and a big beautiful hat that she had I looked pretty good. Thank goodness for my smart sister and thank goodness the wedding was outside and I got to keep the hat on!! I have a photo somewhere, not of the bad hair, but of me in the hat .

Hope everyone is going to have a beautiful day, we are getting the same weather as Sharon for the next week.... HOORAY!!!!

Still happy just to have warmer weather! Have stuff to do for meeting this evening when I get to report on the project that I finished Saturday. Will have to wait, maybe even to next week for report from my sister's biopsy.

Chris, curious to hear more about Cait. Yuck with the faucet. I hate ones that don't behave (yes, we have some, probably need replaced.) So glad you're making progress though still sounds scary getting the shakes. Just keep enjoying spring!

Nancy, clearly you're enjoying spring too! Saw a few minutes of hockey last night, but here everyone will be watching basketball in hopes of a championship - for the first time.

Laurie, I think getting new, improved things will indeed make you happy in the current house. Hope so anyway.

Sharon, your day with Clara sounds so nice. And the pool, that is going to be exciting. I'm so impressed!

Trudy, at least you have a bright side that you don't need a root canal. DH and I have many crowns, so totally sympathize. Sorry you couldn't hop out to that tea party. Any chance they'll come back to the Island soon? Enjoy your weather too!

Hope it's a good one!
