I had a pretty good day yesterday, my mood was *much* better than the day before. I am still moaning and groaning about not being able to be outside but that is going to happen no matter how hard I try to behave. I tidied the kitchen which made me feel useful. Paid bills which made me feel anxious but useful. And Gary took me to the library so I could get some more books. All in all, a good day.
I have nothing planned for today and that is going to make me a bit "off" so I am going to try to figure out something that I can do sitting down/foot propped.
I can see that my forsythia is more yellow than green today so every time that I sit at my desk, I am going to look at them. That will help, I am sure.

Wishing all of you a wonderful day. xoxo

Kay- aw, drat! Sorry that you didn't feel well enough to go out at all the last couple of days. I bet that the weather changes don't help the situation either, that is a big drop in temps. Stay cozy!

Nancy- woot!! Sorry that the Devils were bad this past season but good for them to get a #1 draft pick out of the deal-- silver linings! :frusty: So smart that you emailed your SIL. I would have been so mad if I found out too late about the income/inheritance.

Felis- I go through the variations of wanting to keep all my information offline to throwing my hands up saying that it is too late, it is already out there. I wish the world was only "good" so we didn't have to worry about it.

Karen- poor little guy getting all raggedy... How does Joey look now that his stitches are out and he had a bath? I hope that the vent cleaning people came early yesterday so you don't have to wait around today.

Trudy- Good to hear that your DH is doing well post-surgery. It must feel amazing to get the paintings done the way you want them to look. I hope that they sell quickly.
Sorry that you didn't get to go hiking yesterday. Scott was out all day with his Geology group and posted some pics on FB saying how much he loves it. If it weren't for chem, he would be the happiest kid ever.

:hello: to everyone!

Hello ladies,
It was so cold this night. The forecast said it was 39' but I felt it a much lower. In this season is difficult to choose how and for how long to warm the rooms, and I'm the one who hate the air conditioner, so when I wake up just to find that dog is chose another's bed , I tried to warm myself whit additional blanket. You knows that I have these nights when once wake up I'd better get up than to roll in a bed, so at least I was able to scrap a bit. We are on the middle on a Spring cleaning, and once when the results aren't so visible the excitement drastically decreases, now are mostly details here and there. But till we are still on this topic, I have a question to you:
Did you clean up your O gallery sometimes?
I was wondering here are many pages who I'm made just following someone else's challenges instruction, and also how often the other people browsed 20 pages of layouts. But from other side I'm put time and energy in my pages. So do I have to Spring cleaning my O gallery?!

Chris, please be good! Bosses are very useful person, have you not heard this? Just delegate the current tasks to your family and be coordinator, by way of relief. If Scott offered to clean the leaves off, allows him, let Cait to be housewife and Gary to care for you. Is not need to hold the world on your fragile shoulders. Play it sissy and enjoy quiet time! Consider my proposal for garden chaise lounge ;) , I'm sure your boys can improvise something like that.
I think you're right about our online world, and I'm careful about many aspects of my day life, but still share too much.

Karen, I have the same problem, I perfectly know that less exercise have to be immediately compensate with smaller portions of food, but didn't do it strictly enough. Great news about Joey stitches out! The Summer is in front of us so you'll have enough time to play out till he is back in shape!

Trudy, enjoy to the time with your husband home! And I'm sure that soon we will celebrate (virtual party :partywine ) your first sale, just Etsy start slowly for everyone.

Wave to the others girls!
Have a lovely day you all!

good morning - today is going to be busy. My husband comes home and tells me he has an eye doctor appt at the same time as my PT LOL - perhaps we should talk to each other. But luckily he can drop me off and then pick me up. But first to the bank and then I am having my legs waxed. That will feel so good. I am mostly happy as I finally got brave enough and walked Luther by myself. He remembered all his commands so did heel if I needed him to slow down, he sat and did not chase the birds or squirrels. I think he was so shocked to be walking with me he behaved. But I was lucky too in that no dogs or people or kids were out. I think that mom's right after lunch the babies were sleeping, dogs too were taking their naps and kids were still in school. It was pretty nice to be out I must say! But of course I forgot a poop bag but a neighbor along the way gave me a bag so I was saved. Then came home and watched hockey! It was amazing so many upsets and one overtime that fortunately did not go too long. Tonight will be more hockey!

Chris glad you are feeling better. But darn this weather is really getting tiresome with the back and forth from warm to cold. The magnolia near my house is almost in full bloom so pretty. Scott sounds like he is totally in his element. And chemistry is hard for most people.

Kay so glad you listened to your body and did not go out and stay home to get better! I bet the weather is not helping! I tell my kids now listen to your body it means something!

Trudy tell your MG go Bruins! They had better keep their feet on pedal and defeat the Leafs. Glad he is doing so well after his surgery! Has he noticed a difference? Have fun painting!

Felis I know what you mean about the cold. I am lucky that I have a heating blanket. Made a huge difference in the winter. loved your page about spring refreshing.

Karen I bet not only you were happy to have Joey's stitches out and cleaned up but I bet he was happy too! I love when my Luther smells good after his bath.

Jean I saw my first gold finch yesterday while out with Luther. I love seeing the spring birds come through!

Waving! Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... another :rain: day today, but its a good thing! I will get DH some breakfast and then will go to the pool to get my laps in. Other than that not much going on around here. Not sure what my Gary has planned to do today, perhaps I can convince him to help me with some spring cleaning? The inside of the windows could all use a good wash! Yesterday was nice, we made a trip to the local nursery and picked out a beautiful evergreen Azalea Bush to replace a bush that did not make it through the winter. Such a beautiful shade of red. I am looking forward to seeing it out in full bloom! Then we got a yard of crushed gravel and DH shoveled that all around the retaining wall, it looks so nice to have that all built up again.

Chris - I know it must be frustrating to not be able to get outside and get your gardening done, but it will happen! Just a few more days and you will be back to normal again! It is so nice to hear that Scott is so happy with his chosen field, boo on the chem!! Guess there is always something that challenges us in life and I know that chemistry would be a big challenge for me too!! Hope that you can find something fun and exciting to do today!

Felis - Brrrr!! I hate waking up feeling cold! You should look at getting an electric blanket like Nancy has! They are so nice! I am trying to be patient with my Etsy shop, I know that it will be slow going for awhile. Keep your fingers crossed for me for my first Sale!!

Nancy - DH will be so happy to have you cheering on our Bruins tonight! GO BRUINS!! :becky: Good for you for getting out on your first walk alone with Luther! I bet he was one happy dog! He is such a good boy for behaving so well for you, he must have known that you were a little anxious about it! Give him a big belly rub from me! I hope that you are able to get out with him again today!

Well I better get going on DH's breakfast and get my bag packed for the pool. I will try to pop in later to catch up with everyone else, but who knows what my Gary will have in store for me to help him with today LOL. Have a great day ladies!!

Hi, all... a bit late getting in here. The throat is still scratchy so staying home in PJs again today. I did get a shower yesterday and got dressed .... then ended up back in PJs before the day was done. The wind is still blowing today but not as bad as yesterday.... we had winds at about 45 mph steady and gusting upwards to 69 mph then!!! With temps in the low 50's it felt like freezing. I had to go chase down my patio trash can and lid plus 2 of the heavy chairs got blown over! It is a wonder that the patio swing didn't go over. Things are still rattling and shaking from the winds today. Glad I am not getting out in it.

Felis, I know what you mean about trying to stay warm now... especially since it had been warmer then the temps dropped again. I have a wonderful down comforter on the bed that keeps me nice and warm at night. I also have a heavy plush throw in the family room that I warp up in when sitting in the recliner. Been wearing my heavy plush sleeping socks all the time to keep my feet from being so cold. Hope your weather warms up quickly!

Nancy, I hear you about doc's appt and PT conflicts. BTDT.. Glad your DH is feeling well enough to drive so he could drop you off.

Chris, it won't be long before you are able to get back to doing things again. Slow but steady is the way to go. Felis had it right... delegate the chores to others and try to enjoy sitting and doing 'nothing'.... LOL

Trudy, sounds like it was a great trip to the nursery! You will have to take a pic of all the changes in the yard. Must admit, I really like having a xeriscaped yard with no grass to mow. Like the different colors of rock around the plants, etc.

Just realized that iNSD is coming up soon... first week of May! Seems like it was just a few months ago when it was here. Bet there will be lots of fun stuff to do during it.

Am off to get another hot cup of coffee to sooth the throat. CYL

Good morning gals
Finally the drier vent guys came this morning. I hate waiting not knowing when they would show up.I put off my shower until they came. It would be just my luck to be in the middle of it when they came knocking. lol

Alas I didn't get Joey cleaned up. He got a good brushing but hubby so very nicely said he would like Joe to go to a grooming place to get his summer cut. So much for my efforts at dog hair cutting. lol Oh well one less thing I have to do and what the heck it's just money right? sigh

I have to find some sort of cable holder for all my PC cables. Right now they hang from the back of my desk and along the floor which makes cleaning difficult but mostly it is because Joe has decided he likes to sleep on top of them. I swear this dog is nuts. He sleeps with his head on the vacuum cleaner when he gets a chance too. lol We have a dog bed in every room but no he sleeps on the floor with his head on the bed using it as a pillow. Can you see my eyes roll?

My sister in law is coming for a visit this afternoon to pick up the scrap pages I did for her first grandchild. I gave my niece, the mom, 12 scrap pages and an album for a baby shower present. She sent me photos throughout the year and I made pages for her. She had to pick 12 from the 56 I did. Then if she wanted others she would have to pay for them herself. I also included a DVD and a USB in the works so that so would have digital copies of all the pages. I sent them off to Persnickety Prints and got them back so fast. They are a pretty good place to go and so much cheaper than locally here even with the exchange rate and shipping costs.

Today I am completing the May Heritage challenge so that little chore will be done. I am up to date with all my requirements so I think I will play with the new colour blocking technique that Anna Aspens has on you tube. It looks kinda neat and I have always wondered how that was done and still get the textures showing through.

Yikes! iNSD is coming? That will be fun.
Cheers for now.

Crazy day today! My main computer, an older Surface Pro 3, would not start and none of the tricks would do it either. Have to leave in a few minutes for an appt. at the Microsoft store. Wish me luck!!! Forgot to mention last week that I am now taking an art class Thurs. afternoons in what is advertised as mixed media. That's great as that is what I do, or rather did up to about a year and a half ago when me mojo petered out. So far things are going great. Mostly I wanted it for info on new materials and especially the stimulation.

Getting ready now, so just wishing you all a great day.
