I want to say happy weekend, but ATM I am spitting mad. I saw some of the latest Donald Trump headlines before I went to bed last night, but after reading the articles more in depth, I am freakin' angry. And at the media too, they started out saying that it was "lewd comments." NO. Not lewd comments, but sexual assault. This *has* to bring him down. Has to has to has to.

The ironic timing of this is that I had read an article about his modeling agency back in the 1990's yesterday and sent the link to Caitlyn. Even though I knew it would make her angry as well, I thought it was something we could "discuss" (not so calmly, I am sure!) since it hits on so many of the issues we both care about. Now this happens. (In case you missed it, a tape was released of DT talking about he "approaches" beautiful women whether they want him to or not. Pig)
This is terrifying. My town is covered in Trump/Pence signs. That means that there are a *lot* of people in my town that agree or condone what he says and does. I know personally of several people who have said that are voting for him. Friends of mine. It is insane.

A little OT but when I was at the breast surgeon's, she was doing the exam and I said that the area where I had the lumpectomy is really sinking in, and cracked a joke about not having much more to lose (yeah, totally flat chested here LOL) She said that an earlier patient said how she wouldn't be on Trump's radar either and I replied that I wouldn't want to be :puke: Which made us both go off on what a truly horrible person he is.

:frusty:

This election cannot come to end fast enough for me. Although in this country, it will only be a matter of months before the *next* election season begins.

But enough about that.

Cait's appt went well, and we were only there for 2 hours. Not bad.

Today I am working in my little bathroom. I started yesterday- the paint on the ceiling has been peeling for years. I am sanding it down, then will be cleaning off the mold. Then painting it with the mold killing paint, then real paint. When that is all done we will be able to get the vanity from my IL's and put that in. I am trying to do this smartly by only doing small sections/steps at a time instead of my typical "gotta get it done in one day" manner. (who, me???? :pound: ) I'll let ya know how successful I am with that.

I hope that everyone has a super day!

Nancy- It was really weird, the day was a perfect weather day for Fall. Sunny and blue skies... and then to see the news with all of the scenes from FL. Crazy!
Poor Luther, hope that the infection gets cleared up. Is he licking it a lot? Ray has Lick Granulomas, and she licks the area raw on occasion. We put cortisone cream on it and then Vicks on the fur surrounding the area to keep her from licking. But then she moves to a different area. :(
Yeah, vets are our home away from home too. The other day Caitlyn and Gary noticed a bump on the knee where J had her surgery. Not sure if it is scarring or that the pin might have migrated. We see the surgeon next week, so maybe he will have an answer.
Isn't that funny how you can make the same meal and one time it is better than all of the rest? but you made it the same way? Nice that your DS has lunches from it too.

Posting this now- I hear Cait is awake and she will want to come and chat. :D Back soon!

I've been saying since last fall that Donald Trump cannot be President. Every time I think that we've hit the moment that will stop Donald Trump, I end up being disappointed. However, I really think this is that moment. But I continue to be baffled by the support he receives, so what do I know. I do think that if the Democrats had Joe Biden, Martin O'Malley or Jim Webb as their candidate for President, we wouldn't even be having this discussion cause they would be crushing Trump. (Yes, you can really get me going on this subject. lol)

Trudy- what a mess of wind and rain, hope that your Gary won't have you outside doing yardwork today. Happy Thanksgiving weeeknd!
yes, nancy- woudl love your mac and cheeses recipe. Mine is very basic- Amrican cheese milk and margarine. I don't use margarine often but for mac and cheese works better than butter.

Rae- Happy Thanksgiving to you too! Awwww, Yay for Bailey!!! That makes me happy to hear!
Glad that your stomach is better.

Jean- welcome back!!! That would be a miserable trip with you both being sick.

Good morning, ladies. It's full blown rain and wind today. We're nice and cozy in the trailer and I'll be relaxing and scrapping for the morning. This afternoon we'll head into town to get some shopping done and then head over to the casino for a few hours. I need to find a sweater and cookbook to add to Bailey's gifts. Taz keeps going over to a cupboard and tapping on it and then staring at me. He wants some jerky and knows its stored in there. He finished it off last time and we haven't bought any yet this wkend. I showed him the empty container twice but he still insisted on tapping and staring at us multiple times throughout the night and looked so stricken, like his world was ending. I think today when we go out we'd better remember to go to the pet store and get a big bag of it for him LOL.

Chris - I'm with you. I don't get the support that DT has, it's insane. I can't watch the debates b/c I would kick the TV.

Cindy - hope the weather is ok and your power stayed on.

I'm going to go get another coffee and go check out the challenges. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Afternoon, all! I guess we're not really well yet. Yesterday DH opted out of his early morning bird survey and slept long. This morning I got up to attend a meeting, did exercises, showered, but just couldn't wake up. Said the heck with it and went back to bed. Slept till ONE! We are happy baseball fans though with Cleveland leading their ALDS 2-0.

Like Chris and Cindy I can't even discuss DT without totally loosing it.

Wishing a wonderful weekend, or at least survivable to all.

hey hey hey! How are all the O-zies doing today?

I made it through yesterday ok. Busy doing ridiculous things, but what else is new? LOL 2 loads of laundry, dishes, unclogging the kitchen sink. Walked the dogs. Then I sanded down the rest of my bathroom and ended up with gobs of peeling paint in my hair. But it will be ready for me to work on the mold today. I have to dig up my "green" recipe. Vinegar and something else worked really well when I did the kids' bathroom and it is so much safer to work with than bleach or store bought chemicals.

I made the sesame chicken/tofu for dinner and again, I am so happy that everyone likes it so much b/c it takes forever to make.

Today I am going to try and work on some very neglected things, like emails. I also hope to get in touch with my BFF. I haven't heard from her in over a week. I had asked if she wanted to meet for coffee one day this upcoming week. :( I hope that I didn't do anything wrong, I know that I have been MIA in the friendship- as well as with most of my life ATM. That in itself makes me upset on a lot of levels. But if I hurt her in some way...

So that is it from me. Enjoy your Sunday!

Cindy- so happy to see that you made it through ok with the hurricane. My aunt hasn't checked in with my mom as of yesterday afternoon, but she must be fine since her area didn't get hit too hard.
I am flabbergasted too about the support that DT gets. Shocked. I know that a lot of it is driven by a dislike of Hillary, but *still.* I am not a fan of hers, and if a reasonable Republican (Jon Huntsman, perhaps) was the nominee I would feel comfortable about writing in Bernie Sanders as my protest vote. But the thought of DT as president has always made me terrified.
As you can see, this topic gets me going too. ;)

Rae- that sounds like it is just what you needed,a quiet weekend at the trailer. Taz is too funny with tapping at the cupboard bwuahhahah!!
When we were decorating the house the other day, I had picked up a container that had plastic eyeballs in it.I guess I was shaking it, and both dogs ended up at my feet getting ready to do the Paw, Other Paw, Sit Up routine. I showed them that the eyeballs were *not* treats, but they didn't seem to care. Silly pups!

jean- oh wow, you two must be really sick :( Sending along some virtual soup to you both~~~~

woo hoo for electricity Cindy!!!

good morning - whew so glad yesterday is done - Friday night Luther started breathing heavily and by Sat morning he was not a happy dog and thus I was not happy. So off to the vet again. They did blood work, x-rays and then we waited for the results. Well the poor baby has a doggie cold. He is on antibiotics so that he does not develop bronchitis or pneumonia and cough syrup. But he is such a good dog that he just waited patiently but it took them over 2 hrs to get all the results. He came home and slept the whole afternoon and evening. I felt really bad for him as colds are just the pits. And he snorts but this morning he seems so much better as he wants to play. But the weather is the pits rainy cold and windy! Should clear by the end of the day so maybe he will go out for a walk. Watched some baseball and some preseason hockey. Got some scrapping done.

I don't usually talk about politics but yes DT can not win this election. To be making these comments is I hope the nail in his coffin. Perhaps a teenager says this and his parents quickly correct him but for a 59-60 year old man to be making these comments to me show just how engrained this is in him. My son and DH at first liked his non political stances but they have now come to realize he is not suited to be president.

Chris glad the wait was not too long. Glad that you are doing the bathroom a bit at a time. It may take longer but your body will thank you in the long run. Still sounds like you got a lot done! awesome!

Cindy hi! welcome back. glad the electricity stayed on!

Jean so sorry you are sick but glad you got the extra sleep. Feel better soon!

Rae I know I don't want the rain but we need it here in NJ. Amazing how well dogs learn where their treats are. Hope you had good luck at the casino.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Had a good day yesterday, hanging out with my hubs (didn't win at the casino though). We went into town, went shopping and found two jackets at a great price, one which will be perfect for dog walking and another for casual wear. Got a few more presents for Bailey and a soft warm afghan for my chair. We'll be heading home in a few minutes from the trailer. We'll shower, wrap gifts, and on our way to Bailey's will pick up a card and pumpkin pie. She's making Thanksgiving dinner and we'll bring along her birthday gifts too. Should be a wonderful family day.

Chris - I'm sure your BFF is not avoiding you. You seem very open to communication so if there was a problem I bet she'd take to you about it.

Jean - sounds like the extra sleep was needed. Feel better soon.

Nancy - poor Luther with his cold but glad it wasn't anything more serious.

Cindy - bet you are feeling relieved you made it through the storm without losing power.

Gotta go, ladies and start packing up to go home. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

We've got a quiet day today watching football and cheering for the Indians to win game 3. We really feel OK, just kind of tired. Thanks for the good wishes and virtual chicken soup. Much appreciated!

Hoping all of you and all your doggies are doing well.
