My internet is still a bit wonky. Optimum is supposed to be fixing whatever the issue is with the signal- we were told 12-24 hours, I think, - but as of right now, it still isn't right. Any page with lots of images seems to take forever to load so I am going to have to see how things work here at the O.

Yesterday was just so crummy. More political &%$@. I can't even... SMDH. But I am happy because my ballot is in the mail, so are Caitlyn's and Gary's. Scott should get his is in soon, if he hasn't yet.

I cleaned the downstairs areas, even if you can't see the difference. I went for a walk with W while J was playing with her bat. It is easier to do that since W wants to play with J and the bat and J does not want to share the bat or split her attention. I spent a lot of time with Muffin too- I gave her eggs and pancakes and she gobbled them all up. So cute!

Today I am off to the food pantry and then I have to do something good for my mood and brain. Getting angry and upset over the politics in this country is not good and man, am I *angry.*

Wishing all of you a happy and relaxing day! xoxo

trudy- good morning! How was the pool? I slept until 7 today- The darker mornings help with that at least ;)
Rae- I hope that everything goes smoothly with the transfer. You must be nervous and relieved at the same time.

Morning my sweet O-zies!! We are dwindling in numbers here, but that means that everyone is busy with other things I'm sure! Yesterday was rainy all day, but this morning as the fog is lifting the skies are beautiful blue and it looks to be a gorgeous day! It is chilly though only 5 degrees celsius which is 41 fahrenheit. Two degrees warmer than it was yesterday when I got up. Its ok I have my nice warm cowl neck sweater on and a hot cup of coffee to drink :cof1: so I am happy! The pool was pretty quiet when I went to do my laps, so that was nice! I got up to 30 laps done so I am slowly getting back to where I was before the summer. It was funny that I shared a lane with my new neighbour and neither one of us recognized each other until she got out and took off her goggles, then I said hello neighbour LOL. She laughed too when she realized who I was :becky: Today is our usual Saturday of running errands and getting groceries. We are going to my sister Pam's for supper tonight, turkey dinner. An early thanksgiving as they have plans on Sunday to go to Cirque de Sole in Victoria. I am taking a blackberry pie and our other sister Wendy and her husband will join us, it should be lots of fun!

Chris - Please stay away from the news today! My gosh the only good thing I have heard about the States lately is that your unemployment is at a record low now, but I said to my Gary, "well that might just be fake news" LOL. I hope you have a better day today and good for all of you that you got your votes out in the mail! Nice to have a quiet walk with W too! Enjoy your Saturday my friend and STAY AWAY FROM THE NEWS!!

Rae - I am sorry that B will be so far away, but I know that it will be the best for her to be at a place where they can better care for her! I take it she will be in the Interior of B.C. somewhere, not a great thing when you have to do the drive in the winter! You did make me smile with your story of your brave little Taz!! I would have been so scared that the bear would have turned on him :fear: So cute that he was so proud of himself LOL! Sorry your finger is still so sore, hope that it feels better soon!

Well I guess I should blow dry my hair and get another cup of coffee before DH drinks it all, have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

The weather here is not helping my mood, darn it-- it has rained and rained so much lately. I feel soggy!

Yesterday was the same as it is right now, cloudy and drizzly, but heck-- it could be worse so there is that. Optimum came yesterday and the issue is with interference coming from the line at our house. we can have someone from the company come over and fix it, but Gary is going to see if he can do it himself. The only issue is that the line runs under the siding of the house. I have faith in him that if it can get done, he will be able to do it.

I tried scrapping a page of the Numbers Challenge here and it is taking me forever to get anything done. But I will keep working at it and hope to post it today.
Only other things I have to work on are food shopping ideas for the week and catching up on laundry.

hugs and love!

Hi just a quick pop in to say hi. We are having a true vacation. Very low key. We are having lots of rain. But we ended until staying at the same hotel as my Devils and the Edmonton Oilers were here too. So I talked to lots of hockey people Bob Stauffer from the Oilers, my Ken Daneyko (mr Devil), Matt Loughlin Devils radio play by play. The best was a nice conversation with the Devils GM Ray Shero. Then later when passing he remembered me lol. The players we saw but did not bother other than to take photos. The team Pres Hugh Weber even came to the fan fest and took a photo with all the Devils fans. He even recognized me from past conversations at the Devils meet and greets. But of course the best was the game. Devils won 5-2. McDavid is great on the Oilers but the depth of my team was better than theirs. The only sad thing was Jesper Bratt’s jaw was broken in practice so he could not play in front of his country and family. I am a happy hockey fan.

Chris even this far away my country makes me sad and angry. Hopefully the rest of us the country will get its act together at the mid term elections. But today enjoy the fall.

Trudy see you are busy as usual.

Rae I have not read all about B’s transfer but I am sure this must be better.

I will catch up with everyone when I get back.

Morning to you all and Happy Thanksgiving Day to all my Canadian friends! :canada: It is a very wet day today
umbrella-smiley.gif
a good day to just do some :washing: some scrapping and a some painting! Hopefully DH does not have any plans today except for watching football on tv and I can do what I would like to do today! Supper was very nice! Turkey was cooked to perfection :hungry: The only trouble with not cooking a turkey myself is that I don't have the leftovers or the carcass for bone broth  Oh well it will be homemade chili for us tonight LOL. I need to run to Walmart at some point today as well to get a few things for an upcoming project I am working on.

Chris - Yup it is a soggy wet day here today too! A good day for Ducks as my Mother used to say LOL. I can totally relate to taking forever to finish a page, it seems to be the norm for me now. I hope you get yours finished off today! Sure hope your Gary can get your issue with the internet all fixed, nice that he is so handy like that!

I will pop in later on in the day and see if there is anyone else in here, seems that its just you and I lately Chris, but that's ok everyone must be very busy with other important things!

Soggy here too, the air just heavy with moisture. We'll mostly watch football today and I'm making a chicken dinner with mushrooms and artichoke hearts. My time and energy seem to get consumed in genealogy things and am not getting any more scrapping done after the rainy day one.

Chris, I too hope Gary gets the internet thing fixed for you. Afraid the weather isn't going to do much for you but here at least it's supposed to be pretty warm the next few days. Hard to believe it's October. I sort of panicked when you started talking about sending in ballots as we haven't even gotten ours yet. But our early voting doesn't start until Wednesday so that's when we'll get our mail-in ones. Just hoping something better happens this time!

Nancy, what a wonderful experience you describe on your trip! Thanks for taking the time to tell us while it's happening.

Trudy, Happy Thanksgiving to you and all Canadians! Glad you had a great turkey, but sorry no leftovers. Chili tonight sounds good. It's what we had last Sunday.

Rae, hope all's going well. Lots of changes coming with B moving and you taking on even more work.
