lOve the O!
gOOd mOrning O fam!! I am up and ready to take the weekend on! First dance lessons, then well, scrapping, laundry, cooking, hanging with my husband. But really looking forward to scrapping. It will be a cold one, so tomorrow I hope to put my roses to bed for the winter. Perhaps I will scatter some zinnia seeds. I will definitely check out the sales that have started here at the O!

Good morning it is chilly here but the sun is shining so that makes me happy. Today I am not sure what I am going to besides scrap. Going to get in a walk once it gets a tad warmer. And yes so excited that the O is giving us so much time for shopping!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday, Angela! glad you got a party! :bday:

brrrrrr.....it's FREEZING. but the sun is shining here, too, so not too bad to look at. Hubby is outside taking in the patio furniture and bringing in fire wood. so, now i start the fight with bugs and spiders that come in with it. i haven't done much so far except go to Target and iron some dress shirts and do a load of laundry. and eat lunch. i miss Chinese food SOOOOO badly, with this shellfish allergy and not much carbs, so today i tried to make veggie Lo Mein with my Dreamfields lo-carb pasta. it was a good effort!! yay! today it looks like a lot of college football for us. Pitt at 1:00, Notre Dame at 5 and Penn State at 8. they'll all probably lose, but WTH. so much more fun than pro football. i informed Hubby that it's order pizza time tonight for dinner, so i'm good. think i'll crack open a bottle of our favorite cheap champagne for dinner, too, and totally slug out.

Chris, excellent that you slept until 8!! now we're talkin'! decide to order pizza for dinner and drink coffe and scrap and join my SlugFest for today!!

Nancy and Laurie (and Chris, too.) looks like it's here. the Cold Weather has arrived in the Great Northeast, and we're stuck with it for the next, oh, 5 months. bleh. :pout:

Ok. off to clean out a drawer or something so that it looks like i'm doing something vitally important. :becky:

Ok I want to come to the Party too :pout: Why does everyone have to be so far away!!! :hurt: I could use some girl time!! Today's plans???? None!! We thought that we might go the the movies in the big city tonight, but the fog is so blasted thick that we are afraid the drive over the the Malahat would horrendous!! So perhaps we will have to just watch something on Netflix again :mmph: Oh well its not worth risking our lives to go see a flick on the big screen now is it!! Sounds like everyone is going to enjoy a very relaxing scrap day today and that sounds just perfect!!

Laurie - Hope your hot tub can hold all of us women :becky:

Nancy - Hope it warms up for your walk today! What no hockey for you to watch today?? LOL

Chris - So happy that you had a great sleep! Enjoy your coffee/scrapfest!!

Angela - Happy Birthday sweetie!! So glad that you got to have a party!!

Phlyis - Mmmmm Pizza that sounds great for supper tonight, I think that I will suggest that for the menu tonight also! Yes its almost time to bring in the patio furniture here too  Glad that you can at least see the sun today, everything here is covered in a blanket of fog! You would think we were living in London??

Enjoy the day all!! Wish we could spend it together!!

Trudy, absolutely NOT worth risking your life for a movie. don't you hate it when the weather dictates what you can and can't do?? that's my prob here for almost half of the year. you just never know what to expect. and BTW. the sun is totally GONE now....:frusty:

hi my sweetie-os!
Still dragging my butt today-- if it is not one thing, it is another. Yesterday I was hoping to kick back and relax, but nnnoooooooOOOO!!!! (WHo was that said that all the time on TV? Back in the 80's maybe?). It is time for a freaking hysterectomy. I swear!!!!
So with the new meds I am on, I can't take any NSAIDS b/c it can cause hyper-potassium levels. I can't take Tylenol b/c of my liver enzymes. No aspirin because of the trazedone and blood thinning combo.
Its too much! I basically laid in bed with heat pack on all afternoon. Its really not fair. *pouty face*

Next time I am due for my check in Dec, I am NOT seeing a man gyno. Last year I saw my favorite OB/GYN and told him how horrible this is every month and he basically told me to take iron pills so I don't become anemic. That is NOT helping!!!!!!

How the freak can a man understand this??? I really need to speak to a female dr. I don't care if that is reverse-sexist. It's a basic fact of life!!!

(in case you are wondering, I really am *yelling* in my head as I type this. hahahaha!!!!!)

Today I am hoping that I can sit and scrap with a heat pack and at least be able to concentrate. Some house work and prep for the week-- its a busy one :)

And a glass of wine with dinner..... one will not kill me and might actually prevent a suicide (JK!!!!!)

Laurie- I wish I had some zinnias- I love being able to re-seed every year. I have a half of a mason jar of Morning Glory seeds and I still have a lot more to harvest. They will re-seed themselves if it doesn't get too cold, but it looks like more predictions are coming in for a cold/snowy winter. I am hoping that they are all wrong, BTW ;)
I would looooove to take you up on the hot tub and wine and girls gathering.

Scott was telling me about some new technology that is in the very early stages but could possibly be used for teleportation in the future. How awesome would that be?

Nancy- hope that you got your walk in, I am hoping for one today.

Angela- so happy to hear that your birthday was nice!

Phyllis- how was your Slug fest? Sounds really nice to sit and sip champagne with your hubby!
 at cleaning out a drawer-- yes, you are vitally important!

Trudy! Yay for the fog lifting! What movie did you see?
Gary and I watched a movie from Netflix last night-- Ruby Sparks-- I do not recommend it. It was just very very bland.
One that we did see recently that was good was Olympus Has Fallen. I was surprised since Actions movies are usually not my thing.

Off to reheat my heat pack! Hugs!!!!!!!!

Have a wonderful and relaxing day!

Chris, as you know, i am a BIG fan of hysterectomies. REEELEEEE big. and i am an even BIGGER fan of women doctors, especially with stuff like you're going through. my Hyst. was the BEST move i ever made. why the heck NOT?? no more pain. ever again. it's quite liberating. i know how you feel about getting backed into corners with medication interactions. it is pretty crappy when the only pain reliever you're left with is heat.

let's go back over to Facebook and talk about RUM!!!!

today, just this and that. Hubby and i have to go into the city to take out my DD's window air conditioner for the season. it's nice to have a hubby who lifts weights and is insanely fit. nice to have someone to do the Heavy Lifting. then it's cutting 2+ acres of grass for the poor guy here at home. i'll probably be looking for drawers to clean out again..... it might be about time for me to wrap up the paper and decos for my 2012 POTD book, since 2013 is almost over. then i should send it in to be printed. my DIL got a kick out of looking at and reading my 2011 book. now she knows what a lunatic i am.... my 2012 observations are, if possible, even worse....

enjoy Sunday. wrap up warm. :becky:

Good morning and yes the sun is shining still chilly but nice. I was actually way more productive than I thought I would be LOL. Monday is the start of the town's weekly leaf pick up. So I raked up the leaves in the back yard (6 trash cans worth) and then I looked up at the trees and I swear that they are still on the trees LOL. I got in a good walk. So then I watched hockey. The Phoenix Coyotes managed to squeak out at 5-4 win so that made me happy. But the best was that my Devils team manage to pull out a come from behind win 4-3 of the Boston Bruins. I was so glad to see that they did not give up even when down two goals in the 2nd. Perhaps this will help give my team confidence so they win more games. Then as I was going to sleep I was listening to the end of the World Series. What an ending. Now today I am going to get an autograph of one of my Devils players Damien Brunner - in fact last night he had the puck go off his skate for an own goal, then he takes a high stick that requires stitches and loses a tooth, and then sort of flubs a pass that goes directly to Greene who puts it in the net for the GWG. So should be fun.

Chris hope this day is much better. Have fun scrapping.

Phylis hope your college football games went well. And pizza and champagne tasted as good as it sounds. I fixed grilled cheese sandwiches for my comfort food.

Laurie I want to come to the party. That garden would be amazing to see.

Angela happy birthday! glad you had a party!

Trudy glad the fog lifted in time for your date night with your MG. What did you see?

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies had a fun date night last night with hubby!! We saw Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. It was a really great film and perhaps even better because we watched it at the Imax theatre in 3D. Today we are off for a day of hiking the trails and for the first time in weeks, there is no fog, just gorgeous sunshine and warm temps. No time to leave personals today :sorry: but hubby wants to get going. Have a wonderful day everyone and I will catch up with all of you later on today!
