Oh wow, it was so nice to not be woken up by alarm. Of course, that doesn't mean that I slept super-late or anything. I was awake at 6, and rolled out of bed at 6.30. But even so, that is way better than 5 am, for sure!!!
For some reason, it seems to be taking me longer and longer to clean each house. It doesn't really matter, since I get paid a flat rate, and I usually don't have anything pressing to do when I get home. I guess my age is catching up on me. hehe!
But I got the house done, snuggled with their dog (Irish Wolfhound, gorgeous, sweet and gi-normous!!!), and got home by 12.30. I spent some time talking with Scott. He has to do Current Event articles for one of his courses and he didn't want to do the typical ones, such as Ebola or the Elections. He wanted to do one about the SC Prosecutor's stance that Stand Your Ground cannot be used in a Domestic Violence Defence. (ugh, really??). I had texted him earlier some ideas about the release of the Snowden movie, Citizenfour, and the the Climate Change March in September. We got into a really good discussion about stuff that is happening in the world that a lot of people might not be aware. As he was getting ready to go to Leah's for the weekend, he thanked me for helping him get ideas rolling and a good discussion.
That morning I had a pretty deep discussion with sexting (ick) and how she needs to be very careful with things she sends to her BF- as he is 18 and she is underage. She said that she doesn't do that stuff (hope that is true!) but is aware of the "legality" of their relationship. But she also thanked me for being able to have these discussions with her and not have them be uncomfortable.
I love that I have such a great relationship with them.
Cait brought Charleigh home yesterday too. (That is the flour baby:baby. She is cracking me up, she is taking this seriously, and adorably too. She has the baby clothes hanging up in her closet and was dressing her in the halloween costume too. I took some pics on my camera so I will have to share them. Proud Grandma, of course.
Not too much to do here today. I told Gary to force me to take it easy and he just laughed, and laughed, and laughed.
Who has good plans this weekend?
Hope you all have a great one!
