Every time I woke up in the middle of the night, it would hit me all over again. Yay! It almost made it not so bad that I kept waking up so often LOL!

How was your day yesterday? Aside from Scott's news, it was relatively uneventful, although I have straight blond hair ATM. The hairdresser did an amazing job and now my only goal in life is to not let it curl or frizz on me before tomorrow. Hmmmph. That's not as easy as it sounds. I think about water and my hair poofs up. But it looks good for now. Too bad they can't do anything about the bags under my eyes.
I am going to be in the kitchen most of today, I need to make the pretzel spider and pop the frozen lasagne and fake turkey roast in the oven. Gary made his vodka sauce while I was out yesterday and it smelled delish when I got home. He triple-checked that he used vodka and not rum this time. heh. I was teasing him that it smelled good but made me wish for pineapple and coconut He was not amused. (Last time he made vodka sauce he grabbed the bottle of rum by accident. You couldn't tell the difference but he was upset)
Caitlyn is feeling good about the party, everything seems to be falling into place. She'll have an anxiety attack tomorrow but she's got this! Me too, I am sure to have an anxiety attack, esp before I make the toast, but it's all good. It's just family and friends. Right? Right. (Right??????)

@LSlycord Sorry that I almost made you spit out your coffee yesterday
I can't even imagine what the apt search must have been like. And $250 for parking? That's bonkers. Good luck to her and her friends that they find the perfect place!
I was chatting with the hairdresser and we agreed about drivers and people, in general, being off the wall. My town's FB group is like watching reality TV on steroids. There have been 3 road rage incidents in the last month where people are getting out of their cars and fistfighting. Oh -- and yesterday morning, the news reported that a girl at the college where Cait is, on Thursday she was taken by knifepoint by her boyfriend who was mad at her for not answering his calls while she was in class. Caitlyn was so worried it was one of her students but it wasn't. The girl escaped and they caught the guy but sheesh... I don't get people anymore. The world is cuckoo for coco puffs.
It really is sad...

On a good note-- how did your artsy LO come out?? I bet it is great!!

I always miss a hunk of hair in the back of my head too when I am trying to straighten it. The hairdresser told me to sweat either.
Apparently living in Podunk NJ isn't helping the drivers behave here...

Eva-- thank you for being happy for Scott!!! The whole situation is so crazy, but it ended up good for them. We joke that we got the good end of the breakup(s), we kept Sam. LOL

@bcgal00 The image I have of Remi in the car is making my heart so happy! I just see her ears flopping and her nose twitching, catching all of the sounds and smells. I really hope that you can get a pic of her like that.

@vickyday Woah, that is an early start for scanning. Where are all of the photos coming from, hidden boxes in the floorboards?
LOL-ing at getting hit by the acorns. When we first moved here we had two huge hickory trees and those nuts would drop and they would hurt!!! Dented the cars pretty badly too. The squirrels loved them and would chew them up. I would have to use a snow shovel to clean the walkway. I miss the trees but I don't miss the nuts.
Are you all packed and ready to go to the conference, how far is it? Do you take the bike?

Good morning! @faerywings what great news about Scott! He must be so happy to have it finalized! And benefits too, right? That's so exciting. Good luck with all of the prep for the party. I love seeing things going so well for you!

Not a lot going on here. Picked up the phone yesterday and I love it. The photos are so good and the zoom is amazing. Also the screen resolution is so nice. I'm very excited to have that for awhile...hoping for the same 3 1/2 years on this one that I had on the last one.

Not a lot planned for today. I'm going to do personals and actually post it this time. But think I'll make breakfast first. LOL so I'm not sure how likely I am to get back here...I need to focus!

You all can relax. The cat litter is fixed. All cats are happy. However, I feel worse again today. Cold & tired and one of my ears hurts. Just lazy today, watching genealogy shows on Youtube. I'm fed up with being sick now. Enough!!! Need to come up with a dinner too. Feels like we've had all easy-cooked ones already. And I don't think the others would be ok with pasta & ketchup. LOL

First, so glad to hear Scott got the job! I guess he is walking on the proverbial cloud 9 right now.....he's got a girl and a job!

To be honest about the acorn hitting "me" ....... it actually hit my camera, but if I had not had the security strap around my wrist, I would have dropped the camera ..... and I would have been mad! However, that being said, I might would've had to buy a new camera! HMMM.....might have to take another walk in the woods, LOL!

The conference is a couple hours east of us. Straight out I-40. Boring trip, but not so bad. My tail bone will be sore by half way there, however! We don't ride the bike. Too many iffy scenarios. We could ride with someone to dinner every night, but we'd be worried about rain all the time. Not worth it! Plus all of the church clothes, etc. that we have to have.

Hopefully I'll be back later. I need to go and help a friend in need! Talk later.

Slipping in to say "hi". Can't stay long as the numbness in hand/arm from pinched nerve in neck gets worse when I use the computer. A couple of days ago, I picked up the full coffee pot to pour a cup and the whole right hand went completely numb. Have appt with primary care doc Oct 31. Using my heated rice neck pack which helps some. So no scrapping/commenting/etc for awhile.

As a matter of fact, if we are leaving on Monday morning, I'm not even close to packed. Think we will stay in some hotels where we can do some laundry...that will help with the amount of clothes that need packed. Hope you enjoy your time getting ready for the conference.

Good morning ladies. Quiet day here with house chores and watching Bella as Jen's at work. If the dogs get antsy then I'll take them to the park later. I'll get some scrapping done maybe and I want to organize a bit in the spare bedroom where I also store office supplies. I keep getting interrupted. Had to feed the dogs, feed the birds (Remi lets me know if I forget, she herds me to the garage door to go out to get the food) and get outside with the dogs. I've been up since 7 and just now got a second cup of coffee. I think it's going to be one of those days where I'm busy but nothing seems to get done LOL.

@faerywings Yay for Scott...congrats to him. Bet your hair looks great!

@vickyday Yikes...attacked by an acorn. Good thing you had a good grip on the camera. We used to have squirrels pinging us with pinecones all the time out at the trailer. Those little buggers have great aim.

@BrightEyes Take it easy and hopefully the numbness improves quickly.

Chris @faerywings I'm SO doing the happy dance here for Scott!! What wonderful news that is and right on top of Cait's party - double happiness for your family. Yes, you cannot sweat today or your hair will curl!! Scalp sweat counts, too. Good luck with keeping it straight. Here's a hint - it will be STRAIGHTER than normal even if you see a curl or two. Mostly the curls will be underneath. Can you take a big roll brush and run that through with a low heat hair dryer tomorrow? Tip your head upside down and get it underneath. From one curly head to another. Bwahaha Yes, Gary and I would be a good pair on "what day is this?" I totally get it in my head and it's wrong and I know it, but it just doesn't "feel right". Hahaha

Linda @LSlycord our leaves are right on the verge, but haven't turned yet. It looks like next weekend might be the perfect time to head out here. They have to turn soon. Adrienne and I are going out today and we'll take a look around, but they're not turning here yet. We don't have a lot of maple trees, though - they're the ones that turn first. There are some "scenic routes" around here that are supposed to be among the best for leaf watching. I can find out where those are if you want. I don't know how close you'll be, but we were just talking to a guy about it recently and he said he knew where they were. Did you look up where we live to see if you're going to be close at all? You probably won't be near us, as we don't live in a metro area. We're really off the beaten path.

I'm going to go, check the board quickly, then get cleaned up. We're probably leaving around 2.

I'll do my laundry tomorrow afternoon after morning church so I will have it all done for making my clothing selection for the week. We will be back here Wednesday night, so I can do some then if need be before heading to my son's on Thursday. So the conference suitcase won't be too bad. We won't be coming back from my son's until the following Monday. So that will be the big packing, especially not knowing what kind of weather there will be! The conference is different because we will be inside basically all day. But we usually do some outside things with my son. And they just recently bought some more property, so, of course I'll have to explore that with him!
