GooOd mOrning!! How are all of the Os today? I am doing good- I slept really well and didn't wake up until almost 6.30 am. Sweet!

I had a good day yesterday as well. I was tired but was able to do everything that I needed to do. I think my allergies are giving me most of this grief. My eyes feel like I have ten layers of sandpaper under my lids. Speaking of sandpaper, I made a good score at the Dollar Store yesterday. I got a pack of sandpaper- 30 sheets- as well as 2 paintbrushes. The brushes were the same brand that I bought at Home Depot the last time I painted... the DR maybe. I was really excited about that. It is the little things :D This means I am getting ready for the big painting project next month.

It is a pretty day outside. It is my town's Autumn Lights Festival today. We celebrate the first time we had traffic lights. I think it was in 1993 or 1994? We moved here in '95 and they were still brand new. What a change for a girl who grew up in one of the Corporate Capitals of North Jersey where it could take me an hour to get home from work from not even the other side of town. I think I could have walked home and been there faster. I went from traffic lights every half-mile to 2 in an entire 80 sq mile town.

I have no plans today. Caitlyn was thinking about bringing W to Autumn Lights to walk around but I think she is going to bail on that idea. I want to finish decorating outside and I am going to bring my suitcase down from the attic in case I will be packing tomorrow. (The weather is still looking ok! whew!). There are detours all around the center of town with the roads being closed so we end up getting a lot more traffic on the street. Gary will be getting a lot of eyes on the Halloween set up.

HAGD!

Trudy- You are so busy! That To-Do list of yours is hopping but it seems like you are doing a great job getting things accomplished. :high5: I bet your paintings are coming out fantastically.
Disney GCs would be a great idea! Happy (early) Thanksgiving to you and your family. I hope that you don't have to much to do today to get ready. And I hope that your Gary's parents feel better. I am happy that your kids will be together tomorrow too. I know how happy it makes me when my kids do stuff together and sheesh-- they both live here LOL
Thanks for the info on the resin painting. I was looking on Amazon and Michael's to see about the prices. I am not sure how much I would need so that would make a huge impact on my decision to make them or not. And of course, we all know how things you see on Pinterest don't always look the same when you do them yourself. :pound:

Kay- between you and Trudy, I will not complain about it being in the 40s at 6 am. I know it is going to get cold here soon enough. I have to remind Gary to take the AC out of the bedroom window soon.
That is great that you were able to get your hair done and that it looks awesome and easy to care for. I have to say, even though my hair is still long-ish, getting those 4-5" cut off made a huge difference and I wish I had done it sooner.
I cleaned the inside of the seal but didn't put vinegar inside that, only the drum. i will try that too. I don't know if we have an overflow container but that it something I will look for. Thanks!!

Nancy- hope you are healing well!
Felis, Jean, Karen, and *all* of you-- enjoy the weekend!

Guess I am still in healing mode... fell asleep at 7:30 PM then slept until 4:30 AM. Guess 9 hours of sleep was enough as I couldn't go back to sleep. But now at 8:30 I am feeling like I could take a nap! LOL But think I will get dressed and go to the monthly book sale at the library. Haven't been for the past couple of months. At 50 cents for softbacks and $1 for hardbacks, it is such a steal and fun to find those 'gotta have' ones.

DD#1 should be home from visiting her daughter and family. I've missed her and having coffee with her at least twice a week. But... glad she missed my being sick. Understand that her hubby had the flu/virus but a much worse case than I had... poor guy.

Yes, it was another cold morning - 30 when I got up. The moon was shining so bright then the clouds moved in and it was dark as midnight within an hour. This is the last weekend of the Balloon festival. Yesterday the winds were blowing south so most of the balloons ended up downtown and a few ended up at the Airport/Air Force Base! I live north-west of the Balloon field so none were over our area. I did look at the photos I took earlier this week and got a couple of shots. Will make them into a LO one of these days.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Morning my O family!! It is a rainy morning here, but I do see patches of blue sky coming our way. It will be a busy Saturday as usual, but that 's ok it is good to be busy right? Yesterday I got everything on my to do list done, well I am not finished my paintings but that will take me a few days as I wait for the paint to dry between layers or redoing parts that I am not happy with LOL. I did get my DIL her GC to Disney and got the card mailed out. Posted my page for Single Photo Challenge and I am actually happy with it! I got the pies made and my Keto Ice Cream too. So today I will grab the groceries I need for Thanksgiving dinner and start a batch of homemade buns in my bread maker. It makes me sad that I can not eat them though, but I would suffer horribly if I did. I have to remember that!! I decided that I will make stuffing ahead of time and that will be one more thing I won't have to get ready on Thanksgiving day!

Chris - WTG on your awesome score at the dollar store!! I hope that your huge job of painting the inside of your house goes well for you! I love to paint, but on canvas not walls LOL. My Gary loves to paint the walls and he is very good at it, so I am very happy that I don't have to do that job! Oh Chris if you decide to work with Resin and it is just on small items, then you could probably manage to get by with just the small kit at Michaels and if you go when they have 50/60% off coupons then it wouldn't cost you much at all. Just a thought. I am hoping to hear from Heather and Jonah at some point today telling me that they have arrived safely, until then I will wait and worry of course! Hope that you can start packing for your little trip and that the weather will be wonderful for you and your Mom!!

Kay - Wow I would kill for 9 hours of sleep!! Seems I can never get past 6 hours without waking up numerous times and then having little semi-sleeps in between which makes me feel more tired than if I would just get out of bed and do something instead. :mmph: Hope you find some fab books at the book sale today! It will be nice for you to have your coffee time with your DD#1 again too! Hope her hubby is feeling much better! Which reminds me that I need to get my flu shot right away too!

I better get some breakfast going and then get to the Grocery store. More errands to run with DH and then prepping for dinner tomorrow night. I hope that everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

Good morning, my O-Fam! A beautiful fall morning here. I was outside with the pups and it is chilly but should warm up a bit. I checked all three major weather sites and it looks like it is going to be mostly sunny and 70 tomorrow and sunny and 64 on Tuesday. Not my typical beach weather, but at least it isn't rain/tropical storms/pre- or post-hurricane hahaha!! I am going to talk to my mom this morning and I think if she is still up to it, the trip will be a go!

We had so much traffic on our tiny little street yesterday. A lot of cars stopped to look at Gary's set up. I finished putting up the static decorations- I do the boring ones that don't move  Spider webs, some small headstones, miscellaneous signs and a cauldron or two. I think it is looking good!

I raked a bit more and this time, I didn't step in dog poop. Hooray!
Today, I am going to do online grocery shopping so the family has food to eat. And then I am going to pack so we can be ready to go first thing tomorrow morning.

Wishing all of my Canadian friends a very happy Thanksgiving :canada:

Kay- It takes a lot out of you being so sick. I hope that you continue to feel better. How was the book sale? Any good picks? I am struggling to find books that I can't put down. Every trip to the library is just me wandering aimlessly. I bring home 4-5 books and none of them grab me.
I bet you and DD#1 will have so much to catch up on.
BTW-- I tried putting vinegar inside the seal and found out that we do have an overflow container and filter. We cleaned that out too and still are not having any better results. Thank you for the suggestions.

Trudy- I am sure that you are busy in the kitchen and doing the last-minute cleaning. Have a wonderful dinner today and I hope that you are able to relax with a glass of wine! I will keep my eyes open for the resin at Michael's. I really like the way it looks. They also had pics of resin-ed wine glasses. So many options.

hugs and love!

good Sunday afternoon - I am home and doing pretty well. I want to thank all of you for the nice thoughts on my surgery and doing well. The surgery went very well and this time my pain management is going much better as they changed a lot from last time and this time I am allowed to take the tramadol as needed instead of just taking it every 4 hrs. This time I feel more in control. The pain management woman in the hospital said I was only the second person on tramadol to have withdrawal symptoms that she knew of. My in home therapist came on Sat and we went through the first exercises and they are hard but a good hard. The home nurse came by too and all is good with blood pressure and the rest. So that makes me happy. The best of course is to be able to take a shower! The boys are being well accommodating and really nice at getting me things I need but I do try to get up often. My poor Devils are winless. They have lost twice in shoot outs both time after they were scored on late in the 3rd period. They play again tomorrow afternoon so one can only hope for a win.

Chris sure hope you make it down to the shore. They weather does look good. It will be fun for you and your mom. I am sure your family can cook for a day or so! LOL

Trudy so glad the hike went well even if tough! Glad the paintings and scrapping are coming along. Have a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow. You sound prepared!

Kay so glad you are feeling better. How need to see the balloons fly over. Good for getting 9 hrs of sleep.

Waving to Jean, Felis and Kathe

Have a great day all!

Good morning girls!
I was right to not put page I'm not satisfied with, because when I finally made it properly it got lot of attention and I'm so thrilled! It was a lovely weekend. At friday we made short wild walk in hunt for rose hip. As the name on english clearly show rose hip is wild rose so they bite me a lot, but I was able to cut few cuttings and hope to be able to replant them as I do with home roses! Will be lovely to have home bush and to can make rose hip jam!!! Even jam from floral roses is traditional for my country, I just couldn't learn to like the taste. But the rose hip is one of my favorite!
Than expected and traditionally I cleaned, and on the next day grocery shopping, which included lots of coffee buying, from 3 different brands LOL. So I start this week happy and with one smelly and tasty morning cups of coffee. My mom have few free days so she will invite me in some her projects, which mean I probably wouldn't be able to scrape, but still have half month, so plenty of time a front of me.

Nancy, I'm so happy for the good news about your recovering and not surprised from you at all! I'm not surprised from yours caring boys too! I guess now till you shouldn't be so active you'll have lot of time for scrap and knit which sounds nice!

Chris, I was think about you a lot as here weather was for t-shirts and shots and I want to send this warm wave to you! I keep everything crossed, you trip to happens! And also I was cleaning my yard and was laughing as my kids have favorite places around the fence and I don't worry about accidentally steps through 'surprises'. Gary's decoration is always so interesting, don't forget to post a pic with the final results! Yay for the dollar store deals!
Oh my proposal for book for you is "Lupita Always Liked to Iron" by Laura Esquivel. It's a book about corruption, idealist lady who is at the same time bad person, but have one cute side. Very funny and easy to read, lots of things you are interested in politics, social equality, moral.

Trudy, enjoy the celebration! Sorry that you aren't with the kids, but at least they are together!
And yes busy is very good, especially when it's funny too! Your ice cream was one remarkable thing from my summer, and I got lots of compliments about it, so my big thanks to you for sharing it!
I have proposal for book that you'll like for you too :nerd: . It is "The Edge of Normal" by Carla Norton. I read the first this summer and can't wait the second to be translated here.

Happy Thanksgiving, Canada! And have a lovely week you all!
