Good morning, lovelies!
I am going to make this as brief as possible. We are on our way out in a little while to go and see Leah at the Craft Show. They have a beautiful day for it! Sunny and close to 70. Even Gary is coming with us. I have to fill out my ballot first so I can drop it off in the dropbox.

Scott is still in the running for the job apparently, his old boss called him yesterday to let him know that she was contacted by the conservatory as a reference. Good thoughts for him please!! TY!!

have a wonderful day and weekend!

Morning everyone! Small patches of blue sky out there right now but lots more :rain: on the way. DH and I have lots of errands to do today, thankfully grocery shopping is not one of them. I managed to get everything I needed in the way of basic groceries on line and picked that up in the afternoon yesterday. I still have to head out to the farm market and get fresh veggies for Thanksgiving dinner on Monday, but no hurry to do that yet. I actually managed to sleep in until 7:30 this morning, the past few days have been earlier around 5:30 so I feel much more rested today!

Chris - How wonderful that you are heading out as a family to the Craft Show!! I hope that Leah does well with her sales!! Good plan to get your ballot in the dropbox! I will continue to send out the good thoughts to Scott for this job!! How exciting to know that he is still in the running!!

Cheryl - Nice to see your smiling face here again! I bet things are getting hectic for all of you now that the house is coming along so quickly! I am sure you are busy picking out all of the little things that need to go into it! How fun!

Ok ladies, I need to get some breakfast for my Gary and then hit the shower so we can get going with all of our errands before the rain hits again today! Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

good day - well have been out with Luther and it is nice. Should be near 75 C for a high. It was a great walk in that we saw an osprey over the lake, geese in the lake and a ground hog. Lots of people and few masks but at least I had mine. We walked past a garden store and they had their pumpkin patch and decorations up and it was so cute. The kids and families were have fun and all had masks and socially distant which was awesome to see. Slept until almost 9am today. Not sure why I was so tired. The Yankees are out of the playoffs for me that is sad but for probably most they are not so bummed. Today our town is hosting Porchfest from 2-5. Different home offer their porches for bands to perform. There are a couple near us so I am going to walk to check them out and if they seem safe I will stay. Yesterday I my walk I saw two of our town's policeman were just talking. I stopped to ask them some questions that have been bothering me. I mentioned that I know none of the policemen in my town and if they thought there should be more interaction between police and the town's people. I asked how many residents they knew. And they admitted not everyone. I also asked if they did not feel they should walk around the streets instead of just cruising in their cars. They said with the cameras they would have records and the ability to go back. My thought is if they knew who was in the neighborhood they would recognize some one out of place. I also said the police would seem less intimidating if they were know so if pulled over it would be easier. They said they used to have coffee with the police but with the pandemic they had not done anything. They have an outreach contact I could reach out to to see if they are doing something. I am glad I asked even if nothing comes of it. I have lived in this town since '79 and I have never heard of coffee with police. OH well probably because I worked LOL. But they said it was good I have not interactions with the police which I guess is true.

Chris what a great day for the fair. Have fun and glad so many are going! I will definitely have good thought for Scott and the job.

Trudy good luck with the errands. Hope the rain stays away. We should get the remnants of Hurricane Delta by Monday. We need rain but don't want flooding.

Cheryl glad all is going well.
waving to all
Have a great day

Happy Sunday and Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian (future family members?? :D) friends!!

I am so conflicted about how I am feeling ATM, I am tired- more nightmares last night- but overall had a good day yesterday. At the same time, yesterday was full of anxiety. Full of it! I kept trying to take deep breaths but yikes.
Scott and Leah headed out around 8 am and we went to the Craft Show around 11. It was sooooooooo crowded. It was outside but packed with people including some not wearing masks including vendors. FYI- in NJ is it mandated that you wear a mask outside if you are unable to maintain 6 foot distance and this was next to impossible. Thankfully, my kids are extremely smart and conscious of all that. Their table was towards the back lawn and Leah made an adorable sign saying that masks had to be worn at her table and to look with eyes not hands- and it was near the big bottle of hand sanitizer she had out.
She sold one big piece and I think some of the prints and stickers too- plus she had a bunch of people inquiring about custom work. Her friend Sam does screenprinting and was at the table next to her-- they have a few collab pieces- and Sam did well. So happy for them both. Gary was not happy seeing so many people w/o masks but at least Scott and Leah seemed safe where they were. When I saw my parents show up, I went to them and was a split second from hugging them. Crap. I really want to hugs them!(anyone want to guess what my dreams/nightmares were about again? :mmph:)
Caitlyn remarked how she wasn't comfortable about them staying there much longer so I texted Scott right away to tell them to leave.
Before we went to see Leah, I filled out my ballot to drop off.I was excruciatingly nervous about my ballot. I knew exactly who I was voting for up and down ballot but was freaking out that I would mess it up. But I didn't. Now I can track it online to see when it get to the Bd of Elections Office and when it is officially accepted.

My parents came over here since they didn't stay much longer after we left. My ILs popped in at the end of the day on the way home too. It was nice seeing the family's support for Leah- not that I am surprised but I know it meant a lot to her, especially that Gary came out. After my ILs left, I noticed there was oil in the driveway where everyone was parked so we called to my everyone know. There was no answer at my parents which was odd, they weren't at my brother's either. They said that they were going right home so I started to worry. My mom called back over an hour later, they decided to use their GC for a restaurant so they could eat while the weather was nice enough to be outside.
I hate how COVID has made me- an anxious person to begin with- off my rocker completely. (It didn't help that my mom was talking about Thanksgiving and I asked her to please send up some of her stuffing and that made me cry in front of everybody and yikes, I was a mess. LOL)

I am so darn happy that you are all my therapists by default.

No big plans today, cleaning a bit, food shopping prep a bit. Scott and Leah are going to PA for couple of days, just the two of them which I am sure they both need.

Wishing all of you a happy and relaxing day! Deep breaths.... we got this. :D

Since I never came back for personals from Friday I will do that now. BTW- my spell check is not working again so please forgive all of my typos.

Kay- I hope that the laptop stops acting flaky on you. Do you want me to monitor your challenge thread for you?
Good luck getting the computer back soon.

Nancy- the last couple of days' weather was wonderful outside. I hate that it feels so much colder inside my house.
How was the Devils trades, they get anyone good?

Trudy-That stinks that it is going to rain that long,. We are getting rain for the next few days but probably not as long as that. One good thing is that it should clear the air of smoke, hopefully.
i hope that there aren't any COVID illnesses being brought onto the ferry too. But at least I am sure that you and your ILs are taking it safely and seriously.
I have seen that photo of the skeletons on the house, I was trying to get Gary to do that when I was tripping over all of them inside. hehe, Now all but one is outside. My next door neighbor printed out the Boo Frighters logo and pinned it to some of her skeletons t-shirts, they are fans watching from her yard. I love Halloween!

Cheryl- I hate mammos too. God, after my surgery it hurt so much when they were one my scar. But I get it, they have to get good images. (btw, I am extremely flat-chested so sadly, there isn't much to squish but they struggle getting images b/c of that. hahaha!!!!! TMI??? LOL
Anyway....
Daisy is a little love bug! Is she as soft as she looks? I want to pet her!
Oh no.... you like puns... one more thing that you and Gary have in common. We tease him that he is the PUN-isher b/c he kills us with his terrible puns.

On to Saturday:

Trudy- whew! Glad you were able to get all of the groceries you needed. The stores are usually so crowded before Thanksgiving. Not somewhere I would want to be. Thank you for the good thoughts for Scott! I know he is surprised but pleased with himself. One of the people he always thinks of when he realizes how far he has come over the years is his 6th-grade science teacher. And guess who stopped by Leah's table while we were there? Mrs D!! He was able to tell her how she really encouraged him and thanked her. My heart melted!

Are you all ready for your ILs coming tomorrow? Hope so!

Nancy- We got close to 70* yesterday, it was beautiful. Luther must be having a great time on his walks with you. he is such a good boy.
How was Porch Fest? Is this something new the town is doing duw to COVID? It sounds like a great idea. It wouldn't work in my town since we are all so sprawled out but it has to be a great way to get out and enjoy the afternoon and listen to some good music.
Good for you for talking to the police. I think all of your points are valid and should be addressed. I rarely see police in our town other than in their cars.
yeah, it is good that you haven't had contact with the police :D

Have a fab day!

Hello my lovelies! I'm on here early and I was thrilled to get a layout done for the monthly challenges yesterday (in my spare time). I also got one done for the Anna Color challenge. I stay up late (as you all know) so I have no interruptions and that's when my mojo is flowing. The later it gets, the more creative I become.

Chris, glad you got to go to the craft show, but I know how you are about no masks. You need to move to the boondocks - there aren't very many people out here and you're not crammed up next to other people like you were in Florida - every place we went. That's why I stayed in for all those months.

Yes, Daisy is as soft as she looks. We call her our little lamb. I saw your sweet comments on my layout about Daisy and the cat. Daisy was SO funny when that cat was here. They brought their little dog and Daisy totally ignored Lila - she was all about that cat. One of the "live shots" I got is Dexter (the cat) hissing at Daisy and smacking her. LOL Dexter finally got used to that big black nose in his face. Now, I definitely have to get a kitten! As soon as we get in our house, we're going to the rescue.

Trudy, thanks so much! I had neglected getting in here for a few days. I love to lose myself in creating layouts, that's my theray, but I neglect checking in. I'm trying to work on the monthly challenges, at least.

Have a great Sunday and get outside and enjoy the lovely fall weather, if you can.

Chris, I LOVE puns! That's funny about what you call Gary. My dad was the pun master. We all call puns "Grampie jokes" now that he's passed away. He had one for every occasion. LOL I think I told you that my youngest and he used to call each other long distance to tell each other jokes and puns. I grew up with them and they will always crack me up.

We're back to another football Sunday. We've had some beautiful sunny days and got out a little on some of them. Today is a little gray and coolish. Mostly days go by much the same.

Chris, I get shivers thinking about all of you in the crowd at the craft fair. But, so glad Leah had the opportunity and then how wonderful that Scott could give his comments to the science teacher. I've been thinking good thoughts on his job prospect. Must be a wonderful boost to his morale just to have gotten this far. Nice they're off to PA alone. Don't know what to say about your nightmares as they seem to be where your head is. Glad you got your ballot done. We haven't yet but are thinking we'll take them to the BoE and put them into the drop box instead of the mail. I had a little scare when mine arrived as the outer return envelope was missing. But they send one so I'm set.

Nancy, good to see you're feeling better, getting out and having interesting interactions between photos of folks and the police talk. We used to know some of the local cops but they're all strangers to us now. How excited your DS sounds with his MG. Must be fun to watch. Hope the Devils did well in the draft.

Trudy, hope all goes well with your delayed T-day tomorrow and MiL's appt the next day is good. Always so much going on for you.

Kay, thinking about you and the computers and hoping all gets fixed soon.

Cheryl, it's fun seeing your excitement as the new house evolves and all the photos of the area.

Wishing you all a good day and a nice week ahead.

good day - had a great morning. My DH was out early with Luther but then when I got up and had eaten Luther wanted to go again so we did. Just as we were leaving his doggie friend Lucy went by the house. So as we were going in the same direction it was fun. They don't fight just like to follow each other. That was nice. It is cloudy and a lot of rain is expected as the remnants of Delta heads our way. The Porchfest was so fun. Most of the people had on their masks and we socially distanced as the town allowed the blocks to be closed to traffic. The first group must have been kids who take lessons together as the groups kept changing but all used the same mics and amps. The second was a solo guy who did his singing with just his guitar. But I like the songs and the just listening to music soothes my soul. But I could only be near this many people for a couple of hours before I started to get angry at those who did not wear masks. My DH is not a music lover so he did not come. Then just watched more of "Call the Midwife". Women had to be tough to have babies back then. Great stories. I may have to check out the books. Got an email from my sister in law and she is finally back home. The water company was burned down so they have to haul in water. She says after a shower she is itchy. Her town is a patch of green surrounded by burned out areas. She says it is so sad. She is happy they still have their home of course. They stayed with friends and is so grateful for their help. Wow so scary! Glad they are home safe. This afternoon I may watch some football and then more of midwife.

Chris glad you went to support Cait. She will do better as her name and style and crafts get more known. Your family is super for supporting her and I am not surprised. You have such a caring family. Congrats on voting! I have to get my ballot in the mail. I am like you and I dont want to make a mistake so it is not counted. And of course you worry about your parents. Glad they were just eating. And yes Luther is loving the outdoor walks.

Cheryl congrats on getting your pages done. I keep telling myself that if I do one the rest will come. Love the you have a puppy soft as a lamb!

Have a great day all!

Hi Jean we cross posted! Yes my Devils have been doing well with draft and with trades. My GM is smart and is telling us to be patient and we are not a Cup contending team but we are going to be competitive. I like that. Glad you had nice days. Enjoy the football!
