It's here! (less than 24 hours to go and you won't have to hear me ramble on... )

My hubby is a genius! He made a video of his set up for tonight. I hope that you can see the link.
https://www.facebook.com/gary2/videos/10154325310454616/

He made everything out of pieces and parts of stuff we had around the house. He is so mechanically-minded, I don't know how the heck he does it! He gets such a kick out of building stuff and and even bigger kick when people say how awesome it is. He needs this so much. He feels "useless" in so many ways and this is a big ego boost. Sometimes I get aggravated when he disappears into the basement for hours and hours and I really need to keep in mind that this is so good for him, like how I get out of my head when I garden.

Yesterday I had a good appt with my LLMD!!!!! I know, CRAZY, right???? She has me on this totally unconventional protocol, but it seems to be working. We finally found the right dose of Rocephin that doesn't kill my white blood count or make my liver enzymes go up. The 2 week break from IV abx shows that I still need to be on the abx, but that the effects of being off of it is getting less intense. A few cycles ago, by the time the 2 weeks had ended, I could barely move or think. This last break was bad, but not nearly as bad as it had been. She was thrilled-- usually she throws her hands up, not knowing how to treat me or Gary, since we seem to be so resistant to tx. This was a big breakthrough. Yippppeeeeee! :clap2:
I still have a long road ahead- still on IV, and I see her again in 2 months, hopefully showing more progress.

I also decided that I wasn't going to add in any more cleaning clients until after the holidays. I am now bumping up against Thanksgiving, Christmas, the Craft Fair, shopping and baking. Last year I was a wreck- and the holidays were really bad for me. I don't want to go through that again. So I deal with a bit more credit card debt. Whatever. :noidea:

Today I have to bring both dogs to the town's free rabies clinic. I think Gary is going to come with me. I think Jaida will be a *bit* hard to handle there. Ray will be a piece of cake, she will just cower behind my legs, poor thing. Then we will finish setting everything up inside and out. I hope it all goes well.

Hope that everyone has an amazing day!

Trudy- Ugh to major food shopping. Halloween candy is so expensive - even the junky stuff no one likes, such as Sweet Tarts or Dots hahahah!
Still no sign of the eyelash. Isn't that s oweird? Yes, we have a very strangely ghost, indeed. Oh-- and I forgot, it must be wearing Scott's Misfits sweatshirt- he cannot find it anywhere.
I am going to check out that dog house link next-- TFS!

Nancy- Yesterday was nice up here too! It was weird for us to travel "south" a bit. The trees are in such different stages up here in the mountains- aside from oaks, we are well past peak. Down near Wayne, still looking gorgeous. I raked our front lawn yesterday so I could find any hidden dog poop- I don't want kids to run across the lawn and step in it. (like I did, even though I was so careful while raking  )
How was Rex when he saw Ashley- I bet he was so excited. Your house will feel very quiet on Monday, for sure.
Cait looked so cute. Her preschool went trick or treating and she sent me a pic of her and her student together. He was an elephant and was just adorable. She is having a boatload of friends her tonight for a party so it will be neat seeing everyone dressed up. Being a bunch of 17 yo's, she warned them all to have "respectful" costumes in the house. She showed me a pic from a party last weekend that was on Instagram- one girl was a "Nerd" and all she was wearing was a long button shirt and tie, and fake glasses. So ridiculous.
Hoipe that you have a great day and gets lots of cute trick or treaters.

Waving to Claire (Hubby was so happy to see your card!), Jean, Shar, Dasha and *everyone* who stops by.

Love to all!!!

Ha, Ha, Chris, you are a HOOT!! You most favourite day is finally here and it comes with all this good news about your Dr. Appt. too!! Perfect! Pouring rain here for us today :mmph: Poor kids will get soaked trick or treating. Hoping that the weather gods will smile down on us and give us a break in the weather for tonight!! Gary's work on the Halloween decorations are just amazing!! He really should try to get some kind of work restoring things or fixing things (motors etc) It would give him a bit more purpose and he would only have to do it when it felt good for him. But I am sure you have thought of that already!! Hope you have lots of fun today and tonight and that Cait's party is a big hit! So nice that you will know where she is and that she is safe!! Enjoy the young and all the fun!!

I am out of here in a hurry to get breakfast and then get all the decorating done. Nothing like your house Chris, just a few things Halloweeny and then some errands to run down town with DH this morning. Hope everyone has a fun filled spooky day today!

Chris, BOO to you too! That was cute. Hope everyone has a marvelous Halloween. We don't do anything for it, but at least there's another world series game tonight.

Trudy, hope the rain lets the little ghosts and goblins have a good time and you get to enjoy them.

Happy Haunting to you all.

jean- what a sweet page! The Mets are not doing to well in the Series but I hope that you enjoyed watching them get beat :D

We didn't get a lot of trick or treaters last night but we had a LOT of adults coming to the door to check out the stuff on the patio. One parent would come down with the kids, the next thing you know, s/he would call the rest of the group over to see everything in motion. Gary kept blowing it off, but I told him that it *is* a big deal, that he unfortunately doesn't get a lot of "reward" in life, so he should revel in this.

The rabies clinic was not as painful as I expected, at least not for Gary and I, we weren't the ones getting needles in our necks. We barely had to wait at all, which was a nice change because one year I waited for over an hour. But the dogs were so wound up, that I dropped Gary home and took the two of them to the dog park and let them run off some of that energy. There were quite a number of other dog parents doing the exact same thing.
The funniest part of it was noticing the difference in their vocalizations. When they play fight at home, Jaida makes the kookiest noises (we call her Stitch from Lilo and Stitch, esp when her eye roll and her tongue hangs out sideways) and Ray will do a bit of low growling but almost never barks. Play fighting at the park, Jaida was silent and Ray was barking to the point of almost howling. Jaida barked a lot when the kids came to the door, but I guess that was going on all over the country :)

Dreary Sunday here, which is good for me. MIL finally sent me the photos of their trip so I am going to have to work my butt off to get that done for Christmas. That will be on top of my list of to-do's today.

Trudy- yup, such a fun day for us here. Did I ever tell you guys the story of what Scott said about Halloween when he was very little? He whispered to me one day along time ago, "Please don't tell Santa, but Halloween is my favorite holiday."
Love it!!
Did the weather clear up a bit for you guys? I hope so, since you know how it is crummy having to take the kids out in the rain or when it is so cold they don't want to wear a coat over their costume :D

I love that witch smilie!!

good morning - Rex was so cute when Ashley arrived. He made all these cute noises and was wagging his tail and needing hugs. It is cute! Yesterday was so fun! Started early with a walk with my girlfriend. Came home and got ready for an early Devils/Islander game. Fun seeing the kids dressed up at the game. Well my Devils won in a SO. It was so exciting. No one expected my team to be so hard to play against and with Cory as our goalie there is always a chance to win. Then went to a little hole in the wall restaurant with friends from the NJ Devils game and family. It is called Loaded and they are known for their burgers. It was too funny. You decide on the basic burger and then add toppings. They refuse to use lettuce or tomatoes. Everyone agreed the burgers were awesome! Chaz came dressed as a pirate was cute to see! We had a lot fun. Came home to watch more hockey and the Mets lost. Today is a rest day.

Chris that video is awesome! Your place is fantastic! Congrats! Dreary here but should get sunny. Hope the party went well with Cait's friends though I am sure it did!

Trudy bummer about the rain! I would much rather it was cold to trick or treat no rain!

Jean loved the page!

Have a great Nov 1. Hard to believe a new month already!

Morning ladies Happy November 1st! Yikes that means Christmas is just around the corner

now panic mode kicks in :becky:

Chris - we had lots of kids last night 74, the rain held off and it was actually a pretty nice night with mild temps. Great costumes! Quite a few Harry Potters and the cutest little fairy with wings who didn't want to leave our porch, she kept smiling and staring at me, so I bent down and told her that I thought she was the most beautiful fairy I had ever seen! Her mom almost cried and thanked me so much. Sheesh I wasn't expecting that!! Made my night! The neighbours next door must have let the teenage kids have a party, but I don't think that there were any adults present... Oh, Oh next thing you know the police were there and the party was over!! Not sure what happened, we didn't really hear any noise, there were some fireworks which was a surprise, but perhaps one of the other nieghbours complained :noidea: Anyway WTH were the parents doing??? Just makes me so mad when adults act more like children than the kids do!! Ok I will shut up now :tape: That story about Scott loving Halloween best is cute, kids say the sweetest things!! Heather said Mason made a good haul, he was a Monkey for Halloween (he calls them O O's ) she said he was exhausted when they got home, but had so much fun!

Nancy - Your day yesterday was a good one! I bet you will miss Rex! That hamburger place sounds great! We used to have one that we loved too it was called Fudruckers sadly they do not have any of those restaurants here on the Island  Cute to see everyone dressed up for the hockey game I bet! Yes we lucked out and the weather made a turn for the good, just long enough for the kids to be done trick or treating and then the rain started again around 9:30. We had a record amount of kids this year, we haven't had that many since we first moved back home nine years ago. I keep a record of the numbers in the halloween box so we can compare year to year.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!! Don't eat too many left over candies, enjoy the day!!

lOve the O!
Good Morning- oops afternoon everyone! I have moved, I am mostly settled. I have one more time to drive 1.5 hour to work on Monday and I get to come home on Wed after having a farewell meal out with co-workers. I will get to spend sometime at the O- well I plan on it. I have not scrapped in forever!
