Happy Saturday!!! It was so nice to sleep in- almost to 8am! I am glad too because then maybe I won't poop out at the party tonight. I need some Vita-Meata-Vegamin :pound: I love that Lucy episode!
Its my dad's 75th birthday tomorrow and my brother planned a surprise dinner for him tonight at a restaurant near his home. Far-ish from me (the typical 45 minutes away from everything). It's at 5.30 and my usual "Crash Time" is around 4 or so......

I was able to scrap one page yesterday for the additions to his book and I would love to be able to get 1-2 more done today, plus a card. I really hate that I leave things to the last moment. It's not intentional, its just the way my brain and body seem to work lately.
I never was this bad and disorganized until I got sick. That bothers me waaaaay more than any pain that I am in.

I also need to pay bills. I have been dreading that esp since Social Security Day isn't until Wed this month and I need to scrape together $$ before that.
And Christmas commercials are on TV already!! Gah!!!!!!!!

Hope that you all were able to sleep in today too!
Hugs!

I slept until 9 !!! But i had to work all week at 6h, so get up to 5h :-?

I scrapped some pages for Dido's spotlight challenge that is coming up. Did i mention that i just joined that wonderful team :D

I did some cleaning today, still have to iron some clothes (what else hahaha) and later still make some supper. But i haven't god an idea what to make...

Friday's Ooooos!

Linda-- I am loving that you are back here!! So happy! Yes, my parents are my rocks in so many ways. I'll def. give him a hug from you! WTG to Shaun!!!!!!! That is a great accomplishment, and I am so proud! And WTG to Sydney too. I love the idea of reading books with Sydney. Over the summer Cait had to read The Fault In Our Stars by John Green for summer reading. She loved it so much that she wanted me to read it after her. It was such a great experience to discuss it with her during and after I read it. I was a total dork texting her as I got to different parts :)
Bonding with your kids over book = Priceless!

Laurie- I am so jealous, it has been so cloudy here. I need to see a bit of sun. So coool to be able to do so much with your cutting machine.

Phyllis- I am of the mind set that you need to have 2-3 parties a year so that you get all of the non-basic cleaning done that gets ignored every other day. Hope that you had a great time with your family
and can take it easy today.

Anna- that must be so hard to teach and deal with. But wow you seem to be rocking the Mom Thing!!! Good for you!

*jumps up and grabs Anne's Mojo*
Whew! I got it!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!

Nancy- so jealous that you got some sun. It looked like it was going to be sunny but the clouds came an blocked most of it. Woot for your devils!

Anne, that is a great page! And a beautiful family!

Hi Sally! Hope you got all of your sewing done, and can't wait to see pics of it!

((((((((((((((((HUGS Trudy)))))))))))))))))))))))))
How emotional all of this must be for you. But what a testiment to strength and love!

Andrea- OMG how hard that must be to deal with your illness. Thank you so much for explaining it some more. ITA about the metaphor of tossing your problems with others and grabbing yours back. I am the same way. And I also am with you on the just "doing it." There is no other choice, right?
*blows kisses to Heaven to your son* I cannot imagine that loss.

Yes, I have Late Stage Lyme. My husband is disabled with it (has had it since the 70's we think) and both of my kids were born with it. It is hard, but it could always be worse.

What a group of strong and persevering ladies. My heart just aches at your trials, and yet the spirit of victory shines.

i think that is one reason why we have bonded so much here. I wouldn't be able to get through many days w/o the support of my O-Fam. The women here keep me grounded and loved and I know that each of them are amazing and strong and deal with their own s*** every day too.

xoxo

I hear you on the disorganized Chris! For me, I think that it is old age! I used to be able to remember 10 things at once...now I'm lucky to remember one.

Went grocery shopping yesterday. Two things on the list---Kleenex and trash bags. Well guess what, spent $150 but didn't get either. Guess there will be another store run today!

Syd has basketball practice at 11:15 and then I pick her up early so that she can get to a soccer game at 12:30. Shaun has a basketball game at 12:45 so Brian will take him.

Then nothing until tomorrow when Syd has two basketball games. She also has soccer club but I don't think she can play the game and get to camp. Oh well...

Now to shower and get ready to drop her off and start the running!

Good Morning- so the water pump spewed water in the basement- yikes- we are keeping it shut off for the most part- not sure what that means for dinner and dishes. My internet is also not working properly so I am hooked up to my husbands work tablet wifi- sigh!

Happy Saturday all... off to Costco today and a trip to Lee Valley to pick up the new handles and nobs for my kitchen. Just the change my kitchen needs to spruce it up a bit. It has always had boring old black cheap looking handles so I am excited for the new look of stainless steel ones. Other than that, not much else happening here today. I am on the last page of my calendar for the Aussie's, hip, hip hooray!!! I will actually have it done before my brother and SIL leave for the down under. :becky:

Chris - I slept until 8am today too, catching up from my horrible sleep the night before. Heather's interview went well, but different than she had expected. They did not interview Jonah so they were a bit disappointed about that. It will air on Wednesday so if I get a link I will post it here for all of my family at the "O". ITA with you about the "O" having such a wonderful support group! I love all of you like I have known you forever and can't imagine not starting my day here each morning. Happy Birthday to your sweet Dad today, hope you make it through the party ok and have a wonderful time!!

Veer - Congrats on your new position with Dido Designs!! You are going to love it I am sure. I have seen some of your layouts for the challenge and they are amazing!!

Nickel - Sounds like a great deal on your photo book, man that is a lot of pages!! Bet it turns out beautifully!!

LindaS - :pound: on your grocery list story!! I am exactly the same way!!! But then you and are are exactly the same age!!! So lets blame it on that ok?? Hope you remember to pick up your Kleenex and trash bags today!! :becky:

Laurie - Ugghhh on the water in your basement!! Did it do any kind of real damage?? I sure hope not! Guess you will have to break down and call that repair guy!! Hope your internet problems get solved quickly too!!

Ok off to get breakfast for hubby and myself, he wants scrambled eggs and toast this morning. Have a fabulous Saturday everyone!!

Today, I'm going for distracted! As distracted as I can get! It's the 14th anniversary of when my oldest son passed and as much as I'd like to say it gets easier every year, it doesn't. *sigh* He was a precious little boy that everyone loved and I truly do feel blessed that I had three and a half wonderful years with him but it doesn't take away from the fact that he's not here with me anymore, he would be a Senior in high school now. My awesome boyfriend is taking me out here shortly for a day of distractions and I love him for that! :)

Chris - I'm sure you'll enjoy the party and once you get there the whole "I need to crash" feeling with disappear :) He'll love that book too, what a special gift!

Veer - Congrats on the new CT!! I keep toying around with the idea of applying for another one but I really need to find a spot I love. Maybe I'll just turn up my scrapping here instead!

Nickel - That's a huge album and definitely a great deal!! I would probably procrastinate and never get it done LOL

Linda - I laughed out loud over your grocery shopping. I've done that before so that means you and Trudy can't claim age, nope, we all do it! It's called the evil stores that put things in our way to distract us and make us spend way too much, hehe

Laurie - Eeek @ the water spewing :( That's never good but hope it's fixed for you soon.

Trudy - I'd like the same thing as your hubby plus bacon please! LOL I'm going to Sam's today so it looks like we both get to play with the big carts!

So the water has been shut off since yesterday am- feeling a bit (okay alot) in need of a shower. So grateful I bought bottled water this week. I also got to go out to dinner last night to preserve dishes. The water guy should be here today. The internet is in and out- taking advantage of it now. We believe it is related to the cable coming in the house from the antenna- wind was blowing lots yesterday and seems to have loosened it. It has settled into a position that lets the signal in for now! So I am doing my online stuff before I lose it again. Happy Scrapping all!

good morning I started writing 3x yesterday only to be interrupted LOL so here I am Sunday morning. Yesterday as I was first writing my girlfriend txted and we went for a walk. Came back had to get ready for son and DIL to stop by. I started writing again but then they showed up LOL. Patrick Elias my favorite Devils was signing autographs so we went as I wanted him to sign my purse which he did. He is such a nice man. The third time was just before we went to dinner. My son turns 30 next week so we took everyone out to eat. It was really fun. So I had a great day yesterday. On the way home from the the signing there was an accident that really stopped traffic so we got off the main road and thanks to my car's navigation system we found the alternate way home. Here I am writing this and the cat comes in and jumps to the window and I could tell there was something in the back yard. Well it was a six point buck. I don't like deer in my backyard as I am sure they are leaving me deer ticks but he was hobbling along on just 3 legs. So now I feel bad for him. At least he was not eating the birds food. He was gorgeous. I still am in awe of big deer in my yard. Today should be fun too as my Devils are playing the Nashville Predators. Going to try and get some scrapping done.

Chris hope the you have a great day and you dad a happy birthday.

Linda your days with two young kids always sounds so busy. I remember those day fondly. So glad there school reports turned out so well.

Laurie so sorry about the water problem. Cant be fun but at least you got a dinner date out of it Hope the repairs are done fast and soon!

Veer congrats on the new CT. Her designs look so cool.

Nickel have fun creating the rest of your album.

Trudy was a fun way to spruce up your kitchen. And I hope you can get a link to the interview as I would love to see it.

Andrea so glad you have such a special boyfriend on this hardest of hard days. Hope he kept your distracted in lovely ways!

Have a great day!

Oh Laurie, so sorry to hear that you are still without water. Hope the water gets straightened out soon and of course, hoping that the internet stays in place.

Andrea, I hope that your boyfriend (who sounds like a keeper) was able to keep you distracted yesterday. I cannot imagine the pain of losing a young child. My prayers for comfort go out to you.

Trudy, I hope that you get a link. I would love to see it. And, hope you do a layout with the knobs. Something like that can make such a huge change!

Nancy, sounds like your day was quite busy and fun! We have lots of deer around here but haven't ever seen a six point buck in the yard! I wrote a long post yesterday and lost it so I gave up and am trying again today!

Nickel, that will be a huge album. Won't that be an accomplishment to have that finished?!

Hi ladies! Moving slow again this morning. Thanking the Coffee Gods today for sure!!!

The dinner party was very nice. It was small, just my family, my MIL/FIL, my brother and his family and my parents. The people that matter the most to me. As always I wish Gary could have been there. I miss him terribly that we always have to leave him behind. Thanksgiving will be hard again. I can't remember the last time he was able to come with us.
But dang, the food was so good! We had butternut squash ravioli, calamari, bruschetta, and tomatoes and fresh mozzarella as appetizers. I had a delish tortellini carbonara for dinner. Sooooo yummy!!!!!!

But then I hate that I have to drive home in the dark. It hurts my eyes so much. One stretch of the road was getting prepped for paving so there are no lights, no lines, and grooved pavement for a few miles. I couldn't see where I was going and I had a truck behind me that the glare with blinding me. Thank goodness I know that road like the back of my hand or I would have been totally freaked out.

I didn't get much of anything done yesterday so I guess I need to do that today. And Scott's car is still in the shop. so i am driving his GF back home this afternoon, which chops up my day a bit. Why can't either of my kids have SO's that live nearby? Gah!!! Scott's GF is 45 mins away. Cait's boyfirend (yay, still so happy about that LOL) is 20 mins away.

So that is what I am up to today. Whine, complain, whine some more Wine with dinner too, perhaps????
:D

Hugs!!!!

Morning Chris- I do not like driving in the dark- but 3 more months of it after work and then- well on the bright side- 9 months of not having to! Still waiting for the repair man to call- I am guessing it will be afternoon. I am going to drive to Phylis' house and steal her 50 gal drum of water. I can honestly say that the water I had set aside for power outages will not last for 2 days- At least I learned this lesson before we were without power for a week! I may decide that generator is next on my list of big purchases to save for- except I have power- this is simply a pump issue. Okay off to use the net while it is still working- there is a breeze, so I could be missing in action in a pouf!

Morning all... Watching the horrible devastation and loss of life in the Philippines this morning, those poor souls!! Makes me feel even more thankful that I live where I do!

Andrea - Sending you a loving  I can't imagine what the loss of a child must be like, my heart breaks for you!! My brother lost a son when he was 16 and my sister lost her son when he was only 4, truly devastating!!! I hope your wonderful boyfriend kept you busy and that you did not have to spend as much as I did pushing your big cart around!!

LindaS - Don't you just hate it when you lose your big post!!!!!! It has happened to me several times over the past couple of weeks and it is so frustrating :frusty:

Laurie - Still no water????? Sure hope it gets fixed for you soon!! That shower is going to feel so nice!! :becky:

Chris - Ok the next time you all get together for dinner, can I please come??? I would love to try all of those wonderful dishes!! :hungry: I hate driving at night also and I avoid doing it whenever possible!! Yes definitely have wine with dinner tonight!! :thumb:

Got all the new handles and knobs put on my kitchen cabinets, 33 handles and 11 knobs yikes!!! But they look so nice!!! It really spruced up the kitchen! Today we are bottling red wine and I really hope to get my darn calendar finished and sent to the printer today!! Wish me luck!! Enjoy Sunday everyone, tomorrow is Remembrance Day and hubby is marching in the parade again this year, so he gets to put on his Red Serge again (he looks so handsome in it) but then I guess I am kinda biased about that LOL

Hey ladies! I have to admit I have been nothing but a grouch since first thing yesterday morning. My best friend irritated me at 7 a.m. and it just went that way all day. I know that it was all because of the day that it was because normally I'm not irrational, LOL but I definitely was yesterday! Even little things picked away at my nerves! We had a nice afternoon/evening out and about and then came home to relax before bed and I did a little scrapping. Today I'm still a little edgy but much better than I was and it will pass.

Today I'm going to drive up and see my granny. She's 94 and I'm thinking she probably doesn't have a lot more time left here with us. She seems to get worse every time I see her and it makes so very sad :( She's my last living grandparent and my heart aches at the thought of losing her but I know that it's inevitable so it's just best to spend as much time as possible with her while I can. I'm also going to stop at my aunt's house and talk to her about don't a Scentsy party, she's been interested and I stopped by the other day to drop off a catalog but she didn't answer the door because she couldn't hear it from the basement, hehe. We'll have a few people over for the race today and while those boys are out in the garage enjoying it I'm going to be in this house cleaning. It's starting to look like a disaster area and it just needs to be done so I'm going to hop on the cleaning train when I get back! Don't suppose the house cleaning fairy will come while I'm gone, would be nice though.

I have a sweet little memory/story that I shared about Joshua two days ago on FB and on my blog yesterday and I really need to put it in the forums here too. I'll do that later today :) Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

Good morning all! I haven't been here in a long time. I stayed in my jambes all day yesterday and scrapped, it was delightful. Especially since in snowed all day long. Just got back from visiting my Mom, she is doing pretty good today. Today is going to be a quiet day I think. I hoping to squeeze out time for another layout :)

I have water!! Now it did come at a cost nearly $800. I had to choose between repair or replace and I chose replace as the pump was from 1994.
