It was over 70* just two days ago. Right now it is 30* WTH is going on? I guess 30 is closer to what we should have but darn, I like the 70* much, much better.
The cold air sure isn't helping my sinuses. I am at the point in my cold where it feels like my cheekbones are cracking. I keep putting my coffee mug to my face, the warmth makes it feel better for a minute. I complained to Gary this morning that when I had Lyme, I almost never got sick or if I did, it would only last a day, two max. This is my second bad cold in less than a year.
Lyme=10 years=no cold. Lyme remission=1 year= two colds. I will happily take the remission however!

We have de-spookified the house and yard. It s weird to see the spaces so empty. I have lots of things to put back into the attic but got a few boxes up there so far. And I remembered to bring down the box of winter clothes- just in time!

Today, I am off to the Pantry this morning and then starting to paint when I get home. Painting is honestly soothing to me, it is like weeding. Mindless and repetitive. I think I have everything taped that needs to be.
I have to post a LO I did for a challenge too. And dinner. Gosh darn it, dinner again. Last night I knew what I was going to make even though I have no clue who would be home. I defrosted the puff pastry and spinach to make spinach pie. As I start to gather ingredients, I can't find the cottage cheese that I bought three days ago. I ask Gary if he ate it, and argh, he did. Everything is defrosted so I need to use it or lose it, it is an hour before dinner time and I have nothing else in the house to eat. Thankfully, I made spinach and cheese spirals instead of the pie. Whew! Poor Gary felt bad. No one ever eats cottage cheese on its own except for this time- heh.

Best get my day started. HAGD! xoxo

Trudy- that is the story of my life! So sorry that the threads got screwed up. Also- my Motto- don't do *anything* pre-coffee :pound:
That sounds familiar to me as a mom and preK teacher. The kids get so excited and worked up and they need the release of a meltdown.
I am glad that DS's kids got out in spite of the rain. Never seems to bother kids does it?
Um NO!!!! Hang up your hat here?? You think anyone is going to let you do that?
It's like in the Godfather, you try to leave, they keep dragging you back :D

Kay- I am happy that your page linking worked out ok. It must have been a bit of cyber-vertigo seeing you and Trudy and the thread mix-ups. Glad that it worked out.
On the bright side, at least my cold is *only* a cold and not a Man-Cold. bwuahahah!!!

Jean- heh, thanks for sending me your cold, can you send some soup along now? :D
The S-word, already??? nononononononoooo
My town council has been acting like a bunch of toddlers fighting over sandbox toys the last several years. But we live in a very conservative area and the two Republican factions have had solid control- even with their infighting. It is pretty ridiculous bit I vote even if I feel like it is a throwaway.
Oh, I love the idea of a squid or octopus for Trudy- very fluid! great suggestion.

Time to go blow my nose a bazillion times.
Sending non-contaminated hugs to you all!

I have been away from the O' and scrapping for quite a while. This year has been a rollercoaster of emotions. We got a puppy in July. Our oldest started his first semester at college, five hours from home. Our baby turned 16 (and bought himself a car earlier in the year). We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Less than two weeks ago my dad passed away after dealing with liver cancer and COPD. I guess I need some comfort, so I'm scrapping again!

Hi girls!
Día de los Muertos today matched with our "the day of prayers for the souls of lost beloveds", which is something like Chris's Mourning Tea, but we visit cemeteries to light candles and bring food. So as you might guess it's a blue, sorrow day.
I was try to find my friend's grave, I was telling you for her loss and how this affect me, because in our last talk I told her lie to make it feels better and stop cry. I was hope to be able to ask forgiveness, but we just wasn't able to find it. Here graveyards aren't in row order as at US, it's one big mosaic and we couldn't figure out. I should ask for more detailed instruction. Anyway, we visited our family members and it was lots of bitter-sweet remembrances.

I was thinking a lot about you and your pain too, Kay!

Chris, I'm sorry that you feel miserable from the cold! Dressed up better, girl! Do you wear tights? My grandma always told that we get cold from the foots! Enjoy your painting!

Cinda, condolences for your loss! The other things sounds great and I would love to see your pages, especially these for your dog.

Trudy, happy shopping! Don't worry about the technical issues! Oh it's very cold this weekend, but they gives warmer soon.

Nancy, I wondering too, where are you? Hope you makes something fun!

Wish you all lovely weekend! If you aren't watch yet "The Book of Life", I recommended it, it's a cartoon, but it's also very cute!

I have decided to make this a Pajama day... cold outside and no where I have to go. LOL I am nice and toasty in my cuddly fleece PJs so why should I get dressed???

I did make to the store yesterday and got some fresh grapes, bananas, and lettuce. I am in a holiday mood as they had EggNog and on sale, too!!! Had a glass for dessert to get the holiday season off to a good start.

Worked on a couple more LOs this AM. Trudy, I made a companion page for the one I did for the Occassions/Themes challenge. Just could not leave the 2 older girls without their Christmas page, too! I am so happy with the way they turned out... and the kids are happy with them, too.

Cinda, welcome back... So sorry you have been dealing with so much lately. I agree that scrapping can help lift the spirit and hopefully bring back some good memories for you.

Chris... I agree - Lime remission is much better even if you have to deal with a few more colds. <<< hugs >>> Good luck on getting everything you need at the food pantry. Too bad Gary ate the cottage cheese so you had to scramble to find something else to fix.

Well, the tummy is growling... I managed to forget to eat breakfast. So need to fix lunch. Think I will get out a bowl of American Hot Tamales and have that for supper tonight. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Good morning and Happy Sunday to you all! I was confused for a few minutes when I was in the kitchen this morning. I knew that all of my electronics would automatically update to the correct time but that the stove and microwave would not. When the stove matched my cell phone, I had to look outside and see what the sky looked like to make sure that I was experiencing reality correctly LOL
Gary fixed all of the clocks before he went to bed- something I usually do.

Today is a good day to have an extra hour. I painted the ceiling in the DR thinking that if that area is completely finished I can shove a lot of the stuff from the LR into there. But it looks like that it is going to need two coats of pain. :yell: I like to paint, but ceilings are such a PITA. I think that Gary is going to do the second coat int he DR so I can start the LR/kitchen. My house isn't that big, but the ceiling is 611 sq ft so it is not the smallest of projects either.

Not much else happening in my life ATM. Hope that you are all doing fun things! xoxo

Welcome back to the Ooos, Cinda! I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I bet that the puppy is very helpful when you feel a bit lost or lonely.Congrats on 25 years of marriage.

Trudy- Ugh about losing that long post. Hope that you had a nice time out and about with your Gary.
Nancy- hope that you are doing ok, check in with us when you can.

Felis- sending you love and comfort on your day of Mourning. I am sorry to hear that you weren't able to find your friend's grave. I imagine that she "knows" how how feel and understands why you said what you did. I might not believe in a Heaven/Hell afterlife, but I think that our souls retain their energy and consciousness at some higher level.
I don't wear tights but fuzzy socks are my feet's best friend :p

Kay- Yay for fuzzy PJ day!! A happy toast to the beginning of a wonderful holiday season to you! *clink*

I need to get some breakfast too. Hugs!
