Good morning and a happy Saturday morning to you all. Did everyone get a good night's sleep so you are ready for the weekend? I know that Trudy will be busy *winks*

I was so tired yesterday but I think I was able to get enough done where I don't think I was just being a lazy blob. I got most of the stuff unpacked that I want back in the kitchen and I have three boxes of "stuff" to donate to the Vets. I cleaned my office area and printed out some new pictures of the puppers for the frames before we hung them back up.
One of the things that I didn't like about the way I painted the island was the columns not "matching." My house was originally a tiny 1 BR lake house from the 50's. It had been added on to until it was 2.5 BRs when we bought it. (The .5 BR was what we used as the nursery when my babies were born. You had to walk though the nursery to get to the main BR- which was a nightmare with Scott considering that he *never* slept/had colic for almost 5 months)
At any rate, the island in the kitchen was made by the original owners from an old A&P checkout counter. The columns and cabinets are all strange. Painting the front grey made the oddness really apparent. Gary was able to cut a piece of wood to match the original trim and mount that and now I can repaint that column white to make it not look so obvious that it doesn't match a thing.

As always, once you start painting one thing, you have to keep on going...

I talked to my mom and she has the appt set for the pacemaker specialist and I am going with her for that. She sounded like she was all good with that and that makes me relieved.

That is about it from chilly NJ.
Wishing all of you the best of weekends!

Hi Trudy! Just us yesterday. Hope the other ladies are all having a good time with everything that they are up too.
You are doing so well with the paintings!! I am so happy for you! How did the meeting go with the woman? I would have no idea on how to price things either, that was always my downfall with Faery-Wings stuff.

Did you get lots of ideas at the craft fair? I really have to star thinking about Christmas gifts too. *sighs*

Busy as can be since I woke up... early again...3:45 AM!!! Managed to stay in bed until 4:30 then gave in and got up. Finally figured out what was bothering me... there was a front going through and my left foot is aching so much. I can barely stand to have a shoe on. Thank goodness I have some 'sliders' that are easy to slip on and off. They are not tight either - so guess I will be wearing them for the foreseeable future. I have 2 pair of white ones and 1 pair of black. I may pop-over to WM and see if they have any in black in my size.

I got my clothes laid out and brought in the suitcase to see which size I need to take. I spent over an hour yesterday afternoon cleaning out my travel-Makeup bag and changing purses. Good thing I cleaned the travel one... I found some meds from 2012!!! plus lots of stuff that needed to be tossed. It weights less than half of what it did before I did the clean-out. Thought I had everything in the spare bedroom.. then remembered the soap/scrubby... then remembered I need to take my traveling blow-dryer... then slippers... then housecoat... then... then...then... You get the idea of how my morning went. After that, I made a quick run to drop off some letters at the Post Office and pickup mail from the mailbox here [2 blocks from the house].

I was cleaning out the dishwasher this morning when I noticed that several items were 'not clean'... like they should have been since the dishwasher ran last night. They were all on the top rack - so think the sprayer for it may not be working like it should. So, spent time after lunch hand-washing those dishes and getting them put away. I had problems with it off and on the past year so think it might be getting ready to quit on me.. <<< sigh >>> Will see how it does the next few times I run it - but may be replacing it soon. Will also get a new disposal at the same time. Hope I can catch a good sale during Black Friday...

Chris, so glad that Gary is handy and can make a column for the island so it doesn't look so different. You have been one 'painting-bee'. Glad that it is almost finished. So glad that your mom is seeing a pace-maker specialist soon. Sounds like what she needs now. Happy you will be going with her for that appt.

Well, the foot is really acting up so time to take some pain meds and get it elevated. Sure hope it settles down before Tuesday. We have to be up and heading out before 6 AM... going to be a long day!

Hello and welcome to Sunday!
I am done painting!! (for now) I finished the trim, the one door, the columns on the island. Gary did the hinges and door handles on the cabinet doors. I still need to do one of the walls in the DR on the bottom but that just has to wait until after the new year. I have some more things to arrange on the top of kitchen cabinets and then I am good to go. One more steam cleaning of the carpets before we decorate for Christmas...

Very little for me to do today, so hopefully, I will be able to catch up here a bit. xoxo!!

Kay- sorry to hear that your foot is so painful. My ankle is doing the same to me.
It must be so exciting getting ready to see the family soon. I hate the packing part but the rest of it should be a blast for you.

I hope that the sprayer in the dishwasher was just having an "off day."

love to all!

Yesterday we both attended an all-day seminar on German genealogy. It was good and DH enjoyed it partly from a lot of fascinating history in the talks. Then we were part of the group taking the speaker to dinner. And we followed the Ohio State game scores as they won again. Today is sunny and a little warmer but we're watching football on TV.

Chris that is such good news about finishing (for now) all the painting. Enjoy it and smile a lot. Sorry the ankle is being a pain. Glad your mom will have you along for the pacemaker appt. Hoping all goes well and good to hear she is showing improvement.

Kay, hope you're feeling better today and have the packing under control. I can't pack without making a list first, but even so, there's always the will I need more warm clothes, etc. And do I have room for just one more thing. How nice the time is almost here for the holiday trip.

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.
