I hope that everyone is sleeping in and enjoying the extra day that they have off before getting ready to go back to work tomorrow.
No? Today is the same as any other day? That is so strange!

Yes, for me, today is basically the same today as it was yesterday as it will be tomorrow. It could have been worse today when I woke up. I could have been in a lot of pain. Last night W and J decided at 3 am that they wanted to chase each other around the house. W ended up launching herself onto the bed and landed square onto my back. All I can say is thank goodness it wasn't J. She in "only" 15 lbs heavier than W but she is dead weight. W bounced right off of me. I swear that dog has springs in her feet. Although-- shifts back and shoulders bit-- maybe I am bit sore on the one side.

I didn't do too much of anything yesterday, just the same stuff. I did some more fall yard prep, cutting back more plants and have been stacking large branches along the sides of the yard as visual barriers between the yard and woods. We watched a family of turkeys in the back woods too. 5 "turklings." What do you call turkey babies? Not ducklings...
We got to watch them on the trail cam too, along with some more foxes and possums.

Today, Cait and I are watching Hamilton again. That girl is obsessed! We plan on watching Rent again too. The actor that plays Mimi in Rent is the same as the one who plays Angelica Schuyler and she wants to compare the roles. Not to mention, we love Rent and never need an excuse to listen to it.

Tomorrow is Leah's birthday and I am not sure if she will want a b-day dinner tonight or if she will be here tomorrow. As soon as the kids are awake, I will have to ask.

I guess that is it!

xoxo

Trudy- oh no, I am so sorry to hear the news about your MIL. I hope that she realizes quickly that it is in her best interest to use the walker to be safe. Are they expecting any improvement? Please let me know if you need anything done behind the scenes here. Hugs~~~~~

Kay- hugs to you too~~~~~~ I am not surprised that you are dreaming of hubby. It has to be so hard for you and of course you want him with you.
Good luck with the weather whatever it ends up doing. Either forecast is bonkers.

Jean- I am the same, I am sitting here feeling cold and not ready for it.
BTW- I told Cait about your hubby's grandfather being a sailor. :)

Felis- I hope that your break from is here doesn't last too long. But please know that we are here for you too. I am sorry that things are not easy for you.

Looks like we all need lots of hugs and support today. I am sending every bit of love, strength, peace, and hope that I have to everyone. ::grouphug

Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. Guess I should say that I am "enjoying" the last hot day of summer.... :-D.... not really but have to put a positive spin on it as I hibernate in the air-conditioned house.

Speaking of positive.... my sister is now out of the hospital!!! She was released late Friday afternoon. Of course, she is still on quarantine for at least 1 more week. She is doing much better although she is still on supplemental oxygen with a compressor to use at home and roll-around tank if she has to be out. Not sure how long that will last. I did a happy dance once I talked to her and her voice sounded so much stronger. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers on her behalf.

Somehow yesterday managed to slip away and only got my towels laundered. So I have to get the rest sorted and done before I am out of clothes/undies!!! I did work on a couple of LOs so the day wasn't a complete waste of time. I had an idea for a page so spent a couple of hours creating just one element for it! ! ! ! Now to figure out what else I need for it.

good evening - I have been absent. Saturday my sons surprised my DH with a birthday BBQ dinner. It was the first time that I have had both my sons with their significant others and it is so nice to see them settled in love. However as much as it was a great meal for my DH it was not for me. My sons found a meat store in upper NJ that sells game meat. They like to try new stuff. I told them I do not eat zoo animals. They decided to purchase kangaroo, camel and antelope. I had a hot dog. We also had smoked potato salad and apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It was a lot of fun as they tried each of the burgers. They all thought the camel was the best, then antelope and none liked the kangaroo. They said the store was busy. I was shocked. We have taken Luther each morning to a different park. We always had our masks but I would say most did not. But it was gorgeous weather and not over crowded so people were socially distanced. I have been watched my shows. I loved the new Roswell, NM. It is a CW show and they say there will be a third season when productions can begin again. Now I am watching a show Between. It is sci-fi too. My DH asked how I can watch ones with violence but I said this is fake stuff so that makes it ok. But I still make loud gasps when something happens. I like the shows as they have actors that I am glad are still acting. Of course I have also been watching hockey. We are now down to the last 4 teams. I have former Devils on the two Eastern Conference teams. All the teams that went up 3-1 won even though it took 7 games in 3 of the series. Not much scrapping. Tomorrow is my DH's first day of school. He has no classes but he will be there in case of problems. He rode the train on Friday and came home so tired. He had forgotten how tiring it is. He said compliance for masks was really 99% so that made me happy.

Chris hope your get together went well with the staggering of times and distance. My DH's birthday is tomorrow too. Wishing Cait the best day! And I cant believe how fast the light is going. Bet your are enjoying this weather. I know I am!

Kay I know this probably is crazy but I think it is romantic the connection you and your DH had. That dream shows just how much you two cared for each other. Wow I cant believe the change in weather and temps. Glad you have good books to read. So the Roswell show is on the CW so perhaps your cable will allow you to see the past seasons with onDemand.

Trudy I hope you can get your ILs situation in the with their health going in the right directions Good luck!

Jean rare birds are fun. The genealogy from the library parking lot is pretty funny! Good thinking. Love that your DH got to people watch.

Felis I am going to miss your fun posts. Take care and drop in if you can.

Have a great day all!
