HAPPY MONDAY!! new week coming ahead!

This is what I am actually doing~> but that *points up* is what I am hoping to be like in after one more mug of coffee.

How was your weekend? I was disappointed in myself. The weather was amazing but I wasted most of my time inside. Yesterday's big cleaning project was the kids' bathroom. I usually don't do any cleaning up there, that is all on them (read: Caitlyn). But the bathroom really, really needed a good scrubbing. She was thrilled when she got home and saw it.
I did a little more decorating too. All in all the house should be ready by the weekend.
I picked Cait and Brendan up at the bus stop and got to see some of the pictures of the restaurant and food. Totally funky and fun! Scott got home around 7 pm last night. I didn;t talk to him too much, he was *exhausted* but it was nice to have both kids under the roof again.

Today, I am prepping for food shopping and then I am hoping to spend the rest of the day outside. I should take advantage while I can.

Nancy- those are two big wins for your team! It has to be fun to win over the rivals to close out the preseason.
PLEASE tell me that you took lots of pictures of Luther in the pool!! What an awesome (pawsome!) idea. It is great to hear that both "boys" had good weekends too. Wherever DS's charity BBQ was, it could not have been better weather.
We are halfway through Season 4 of Outlander and I have to admit that I am very irritated about Murtaugh. Don't get me wrong, I love him but it feels so "off.". :?

Kay- I hope that you are feeling better today. Do you get allergies when the seasons change or is it a cold? Caitlyn and I are both stuffy/coughing/sneezing but I think allergy season must be in full swing here.
Enjoy the balloons!!

xoxo

good morning - my son is home - he arrived around 5 am and my DH got him. So glad the airport is so close. But he is cranky tired LOL. The bride and groom are going to Australia and then to Bali. That is a pretty good honeymoon. The few pictures I saw were really nice. It is hard to believe that today is the first day of fall. It was 71 degrees when I got up this morning. The only way it is fall is that at 6 am it was still dark. That sucks. Not much going on today but I do need to make it to the grocery store.

Chris I took so many photos and a few videos of the puppy plunge. All the dogs were really well behaved! It was really a great idea from the town. Go outside today and enjoy the glorious weather. Glad your kids had a such a good time.

Kay so sorry you woke up sick and blue. Some days just staying in PJs is the right idea! Feel better! Oh how fun to see the balloons fly over!

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies... It is another grey and rainy morning, but just a misty kind of rain, not the heavy downpour that we have had the last few days! Not complaining though, we really needed it! Had a great visit with Cousin Bonnie and her lovely daughter Isla, they both loved the painting and when she got back home she told me that her DH loved it too!! I am so happy that it turned out well! Hopefully it will bring me a few more commissions. There are many other units where she lives that have the same empty wall space that she is covering with this painting. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my DH as he was also involved with this, making my cradle wood canvases and doing an amazing job!! Today I am off to the Hospital for a Ultrasound, an appt. that has taken almost a year to get! Ridiculous what the wait times are here in Canada for things like that. Our health care is pretty great otherwise, but the wait times are horrendous!! Its nothing major so I guess that is why it has taken a long time. Other than that I have not much on my plate today. I am still figuring out how to use the Cricket Machine I inherited and having fun making some cards, its fun to handle paper again, but I don't like the clean up!! I have to get some coupon codes made today too and really want to get one more layout done for this month. So I will be browsing the galleries to get some inspiration!

Chris - Nice that you got the kids bathroom all cleaned up I bet they really appreciated it! Good to have the kids back home and safely under your roof again! I hope that you and Cait can get the pumpkins you want this year and although potted Mums seem like an extravagance they are so lovely and really add so much colour to the front porches! My Coleus on the front porch is still so beautiful, but I would love to get some Mums soon too! Hope you are enjoying the fourth season of Outlander, seems like forever before the new season starts, it is hard to go through Droughtlander, LOL. Enjoy some time outside while you can. I am guilty of wasting whole days in the house when I should be out in the sunshine too.

Nancy - So happy that you are enjoying your Hockey once more! Sounds like the Devils are doing pretty awesome so far! How fun to see some of the players mingle with the fans! Lucky Luther getting to go for a great swim with the other big dogs! I bet he loved it! A nice quiet weekend without your son, it must have seemed strange. So glad that he managed to book his own flight home, good for him! It really does suck that it is so dark in the mornings now. I hate to say good-bye to summer! It means no more sleeveless tops and flip flops

Kay - I sure hope that you are feeling better and less blue today! Sure must be awesome to see the hot air balloons flying overhead, something that I have never seen before.

Ok I am off to get my morning chores done and then back to the gallery. Have a great day everyone!

Well, am late getting in here again. Had some pages I needed to scrap before I got side-tracked doing other things. Still have a couple more to work on.

The head is feeling better - guess it was allergies and change in pressure with a few fronts coming through. I took some allergy meds and they did help. The throat is still abit sore but that is usual when I have sinus drainage. The blue mood seems to come and go... will be fine for a few hours then sneaks up and catches me for no reason I can understand.

Been watch PBS "Country". Boy... does that bring back memories of times past and great songs. Not sure how many more episodes to go but I will try to catch them all.

Trudy, so glad the gal liked the new art piece.... it is stunning! Hope you get some commissions from her displaying it. Sorry it has taken so long to get your test scheduled. Hope it is good news for you.

Nancy, glad your son was able to get his flight and get home. Wow, his friends are having a great honeymoon adventure.

Chris... you are a cleaning machine!!! Bet Cait was a happy one when she saw it was cleaned. Good luck on finding the pumpkins you want for decorations.

Need to get some lunch... time got away from me. CYL

We've had some lovely days. Yesterday got hot but today is cooler following some rain. Next week they promise some more heat. Last Thursday H&S did a singalong at the library nearby for the third time. It was again very good. This time I took a video of one song and part of another. First time DH could watch and listen to them perform. Sat. I did the things at our computer genealogy group and it seemed to be good. Now I don't have it to do again until January as we are taking "field trips" in Oct. and Nov. and don't meet in Dec. Instead I'm trying to work on genealogy of a friend's family. Also found some cool stuff on part of DH's family. Today did the usual bills and stuff. Last night for dinner with the football game I fixed a pasta dish that came in a package of all the ingredients. It had been an impulse purchase at the grocery. It had black spaghetti (colored with squid ink), capers, paprika and lots of other seasoning. It sort of made me think of Nancy's BA meals as I had all I needed except I also got some hot Italian sausage that the store makes. We enjoyed it a lot. Tomorrow we plan to go birding and visit a place on western Lake Erie that is a newly created marsh. It's a park and been there just a couple of years, but we hadn't been out that way in a while. This Thursday my mixed media class starts up again and I'm looking forward to that.

Chris, hope you are outside enjoying this great fall weather! Guess there will still be some more of it coming too. Hoping your mom is doing OK.

Nancy, how nice for Luther in the pool and what a cool idea. We'll look forward to the pix. How super to have the hockey games and a fun time with some of the players. Did you see the ceremony for C.C.? Read about it and sounds like a special time for him. Also seems he'd like to stick around with the Yankees in some capacity.

Trudy, guess that wonderful painting must have dried after all. No surprise that everyone loves it. Bet it does lead to more commissions. Congrats on that to both of you. I'm thinking of all the wonderful paint and colors that will have you buying. How is the lake level now that you've had some rain? Hope you keep getting what is needed. Just not on hike days.

Kay, hope your allergies or whatever go away quick. I too imagine the balloons are a joyful sight but have not had the pleasure myself. Wishing the blue moods to come less often for you.

Felis, did you go on your regular Sunday shopping? And how's the weather now?
