I am ex-haust-ed. Whatta weekend.

I started cooking and cleaning around 9 and didn't stop until everyone left at 8. I thanked Caitlyn again for not making me bake the other cake. I'll tell ya, eight people and three different main dishes... it was a lot. The marinade for 1/2 of the pork chops and the tofu was the same, but I had to make a low-sodium version for my parents. I had to be careful not to mix up the meat and vegan utensils. My trick is that the green silicone ones are vegan. All of the different areas of my tiny kitchen were set up with different ingredients and dishes, and just ugh--

One good note is that everyone said what a nice time they had. That makes it worthwhile. ♥
I got most of the dishes washed last night. Today I'm finishing them up and putting them all back where they belong.

Aside from that, I need to come up with a meal plan/grocery list to last until I get back from the shore.
I cannot wait to get outta here! At this point, I don't even care if it rains all three days. I'll bring some books, sit on the hotel porch, and watch the waves.

I have loose ends for work to figure out today, too...See if anyone wants to carpool to the conference with me. It's going to take an hour and a half from my house, more if there is traffic. I might not hit too much on the way down since I have to be there at 8.30, but coming home it's going to be a b****. It's over at 4.30 pm, and I'll be hitting I-287 traffic the entire way home.
I wonder if I should take Rt 202 instead? It's probably better if I stay on 287 the entire time, it is the same way I get the the shore from my mom's house so at least I am familiar with it.

Anyway, that's my crazy days- past and present.
Is there anything else I am supposed to do today? Hmmm... :thinking2:
I don't know, @AK_Tracy-- is there something I have to do, or maybe move?

I'll be posting the week 4 AJ challenge as soon as I finish here.

Hugs!

Its also that time of year where I get to see the sunrise again. Nothing like watching the light come up over the lake and all those majestic colors.
That's one of the few things I appreciate this time of year. The fall colors and the sunlight coming through the leaves-- it really is gorgeous. Your photo is stunning!
How is Nessie doing, stitches out and raring to go? Any news of what the tumor was?

@bcgal00 have a lovely trip and I hope you get to see all of the sights and wildlife that you want to.

@BoatLady Soooo wonderful to hear that your friend is improving. I can't imagine how frustrating it is for her to not be able to speak the words that she has inside her brain.
Alligators-- I swear, I will take bears over alligators any day.
Keep whispering in Jay's ear about the tiles and cabinets. It just might work! :D

:grouphugyay: to everyone who reads this!

Good Morning,
This is going to be a hectic week getting ready for the shindig in the woods with our church family this coming weekend! Lots of prep work and cleaning to be done! Mark hopes to begin laying the floor of the porch tonight.
Going to take a couple of the widows from church out to lunch today.
Need to make the bank deposit.
And we will see what happens after that!
Going to post my week 4 AJ page after I finish this!
Have a great day!

Good Morning O Fam!!!
You'll never guess! Its raining AGAIN! Oh September I get so tired of rain. If you could spread yourself out it would be nice. One day out of 10 to not rain is not working well for me at the moment. And please, pick any day but Wednesday to not rain. I want to enjoy the sunshine not just see it through a window. yep, we are 100% into fall and all its rain.

One good note is that everyone said what a nice time they had. That makes it worthwhile. ♥

That's so wonderful that everyone had a wonderful time. Makes it worth the effort. I'm impressed you got the dishes mostly done. That's where I usually fall apart and just leave them and then it takes two days to catch up. Good job getting most of it done.

YES! You're LATE! Yesterday, it was suppose to be posted yesterday!!! Gurl you made me wait 24 hours longer! Ok, maybe 12 hours as I was stalking yesterday afternoon. Its not like you had a birthday party or family to feed. :heartpumppink: :hug3::heartpumppink:

We took Nessies stitches out and she didn't flinch at all. She did have to wear her shirt a couple more days as she wanted to scratch like a madman and caused the seam to bleed a little. So the shirt went back on for a couple days. Now she seems just fine, but I still watch the scar and how its healing. Darn dog could scratch her hide right off she gets so into the scratch. We found out it was a hair follicle. I cant remember what the doc called it but basically, remove follicle and that's the end. Nothing to worry about and it wont come back. It wasn't "infected" but something else. Lots of big terms thrown around. It was a "nothing" but needed removal. Makes me happy that it was a nothing and easy to fix.
Mark hopes to begin laying the floor of the porch tonight.
That's a nice cabin! Love the large deck. Will be so fun to sit there and relax. I love sitting on a deck more then the ground, less bugs and weeds growing around my feet LOL. Lots of work before the weekend but oh it will be nice to sit back and enjoy it.

I want to say today will be calm and easy but yeah no. Grands are coming over for a couple hours. Plus its my day to clean house and do laundry so I wont be sitting. Have to get the Costco list ready for later this week. Mine and the church list so double duty. Need to put the bed back where it belongs in my sons room so I can put my room back together. When we built our house we over sized everything. Our house was 900sqft for 6 people so we went overboard LOL Kids rooms are 15x14' so dont think throwing an extra queen bed in the kids rooms makes them crowded. They're spoiled for space.

Well, must go feed to fur babies. Have a wonderful day.
