yay for Monday!

Wait, wha!!?? Yay for Monday??????

I saw a lot of posts by Sally on Facebook yesterday and sheesh, she is contagious! That woman has more joy for life than anyone I know.

My back and hip felt quite a bit better yesterday and I was able to get some stuff done around the house, which was nice for a change. Poor Gary has been fighting with the programming of the skeleton band. He has their hands and mouths moving in time with the music, so the bassist's hands move with the bass line, the mouths move with the lyric tracks. And the LED lights in their eyes also flash with the beat. But as soon as he gets one part working perfectly, another part stops working. If the past is present, this week is going to be a frustrating one for him, lots of cursing for sure. ;)

I am cleaning today which is good b/c I need to stay offline as much as possible, hiding from all comments RE: TWD.

Hoping that all of you have a super day!

Trudy- I bet your trees are gorgeous and that you are getting good pictures of them. I am not sure why, but this season the colors up here are really vibrant. As I said up ^^, Sally has been posting pictures of her trip to the North East, and she could not have picked a prettier time.
Sorry to hear that there wasn't anything really cool at the home show. Did you get any ideas at all of what you could do with your kitchen?
I hope that Jonah and Heather don't hear any spoilers either. I am going to have to tape Brendan's mouth shut when he gets home today. He spent the night at his mom's house to dog sit, and he probably watched it there. He is *terrible* with spoilers. Like really really bad. :tape:

Rae- sounds like you have been very busy but productive with your editing. Good for you for trying to keep up with the dictations as well. How is hubs eye today? Fingers crossed for nothing major. My dad had this thing with his eyes, he could be anywhere and something would attack his eye. Christmas trees, computer punch cards, I can't remember how many times he ended up in the ER or at the eye Drs for that.
That is how it is for me with certain techniques. I don't use them enough to remember exactly how to do it, just enough to get started but not getting it right. Text on a path is probably one of the biggest issues for me. I should print it out, that is a smart idea.

Jean- so happy that you had a nice day out birding! I wish I could bottle up the sun and nice weather so in the middle of the winter I could take some out to rejuvenate.

xoxo

good morning - Luther and I had a long walk and it is so nice out. Not many people and kids in school. But he was bummed as Jackson was not out to say hi to. LOL But he saw Roxie and two other small dogs so then he was happy! He is so funny! Today is grocery shopping. Out of most things so it will take a while to shop and then unload. Went to watch my afternoon hockey and it was delayed 2 hrs because of sun and it was melting the ice. Who knew it would be that warm in Winnipeg this time of year. Had fun watching but still got Luther out for a nice walk.

Chris so glad that your back and hip are feeling so much better. I would be super frustrated too having to get all parts of the band working. Sounds like it will be so cool on Halloween night! He still has plenty of time to get it working.

Trudy so sorry that there was nothing at the home show. It is still fun to go through the show. My DH and I like going through the boat shows. We love going through the extreme yachts. Our trees are turning and it is so fun to walk through the leaves. Luther is like it too and the pile of course!

Rae you are such a busy bee! Editing and work and walking dogs! I need your time management skills. And you still have time to scrap.

Jean so glad you got out to do some birding. My favorite birding spot is undergoing major renovations on the road into the wildlife refuge. This was to be done in the summer when the birds are less but of course delays and now it is in the middle of fall migration so road is closed. I am bummed.

Have a great day all!

Happy Monday ladies... :rain: here but not a downpour at least. I never made it back to my computer all day yesterday. After getting breakfast we bottled a batch of Chardonnay and then I stripped the sheets off of our bed and started :washing: Then the In-Laws popped in and stayed for coffee and after they left we got busy in the yard and started raking up all the leaves and twigs that have fallen over the past week or so. I vacuumed and cleaned the windows of my CRV and then started vacuuming the house. Suppertime and a bit of TV and that was my day...POOF over in record time it seems. I did not sleep very well and must have woken up 20 times during the night :mmph: So I am dragging my butt today.

Chris - That is wonderful news that your back is feeling so much better today! I hope that your Gary gets his Halloween Band all in sync today with not too much swearing going on!! Yes the colours of the trees are so much nicer this year than last year. I guess because the summer was so horribly hot and dry last year that I think the trees just lost all of their foliage before they even had a chance to change colour. I am loving the colours this year though!!

Nancy - Your Luther sounds like such a sweetheart!! Ugh on the grocery shopping! I hate going shopping for food, it seems to take longer and longer everytime I go. We have to do a Costco run this weekend and I am not looking forward to fighting the crowds, if only we did not have to eat, that would awesome!! :becky: I would love to go through the boat shows!! How fun to see the extreme Yachts!! I would be dreaming of life on the sea for sure!!

Rae - Hoping your hubby's eye is ok and that he did not have to wait long at the ER! Hope you get all caught up with your work and get to set up the new computer desk!! I hope you and Taz get to go for a walk without any rain!

Jean - How nice to be out bird watching! I saw a beautiful Hawk of some sort in the tree across the street yesterday. He kept diving down in-between the houses trying to get something or other, must have been a mouse or a rat or something. Then he would come back up to the tree and sit for a bit and dive back down again. This went on for about 1/2 hour before he decided to head off somewhere else. I never did see him with anything in his beak.

Well lots of catching up to do here, I have been absent from commenting in the gallery and I need to do a few pages today also. I hope that you all have a wonderful Monday!!

Good morning, ladies. Got lots of editing done yesterday and then stopped for a late dinner (ended up getting Taco Del Mar baha bowl and nachos instead of Chinese food) and watched TWD. We were going to watch the recap/sneak peek first but for some reason our PVR only taped 5 minutes of it. Wow...the season premiere was a shocker. Can't say anything b/c Chris needs to watch it so no spoilers from me....but wow. I was feeling tired after dinner so just curled up in my jammies and watched a few TV shows after TWD. We'll save the movie for another night. So it sure was a quiet birthday for me. My gift, as I informed my hubs, is to buy the Photoshop Artistry Course for myself. I'll wait a bit b/c I'm too busy right now to put the time into it but it's a course I've wanted to take for a few yrs but just didn't want to spend the money but I'm biting the bullet and doing it. Should be fun.

Today will be a long day. The usual work stuff, editing, dog walking and I started to feel sick last night and it's full blown this morning. Throat infection, vomiting, headache, chills...yuck. I kept waking myself up last night, making horrid snoring gargly sounds b/c my throat is all swollen and infected. I would wake myself up making these noises and Taz would be right there staring at me, trying to figure out what the noise was. Darrell was starting to feel sick too but isn't feeling too bad this morning. Hope it passes quickly. I have no time to be sick.

My daughter went home on Friday and told us she will be staying there. I'm frustrated and feel so helpless b/c I hate watching her go back to that unhealthy marriage. She knows our door is open if she needs to come back. That's all we can do.

Chris - hurry up and watch TWD! Hope the Halloween stuff all comes together in time. Your house must so cool to visit on Halloween. Glad your aches and pains are improving.

Nancy - I bet that doesn't happen often in Winnipeg at this time of year. We always appreciate living on the west coast when we start to see the blizzards that Calgary and Winnipeg get while we rarely get much snow or cold like they do. Glad Luther had his doggie socializing time. Isn't it fun to watch?

I'm going to get some work done b/c I have a feeling that today is going to drag by with all I have to do and feeling like I do, so the sooner I get it done, the sooner I can crawl back into bed later. Hope you all have a great day.

Good morning, Trudy - cross-posting again LOL.

We haven't bottled wine in years. Used to do a few batches every fall and we were lucky enough to have a friend who had a shop so we always got a great deal.

Just wanted to pop back in and say good morning. Gotta go. Have a great day.

yay for Monday? Really? I feel like my head is stuffed with cotton, so am not too bright at the moment. (Not sick, just like I'm not awake.) Did the usual Monday with bills & stuff but now can't face anything challenging. Hope you know what I mean.

Chris, looking forward to video of the band as I'm sure Gary will get it all together. Good luck with cleaning.

Nancy, Luther must be a trip. What a change he's brought to your life. Melting ice in Winnipeg? crazy. Sorry about the closed road at the refuge, such a bummer. We didn't see anything unusual, but loved seeing things like Hermit Thrush, an almost cooperative Winter Wren, Brown Creeper and a group of 3 E. Phoebe.

Trudy, yesterday away from the Internet actually sounds pretty good but sorry it didn't lead to good sleep. Hope not too much rain today.

Rae, oh my goodness - hope you feel better quick. What a follow up to your birthday. Sorry to hear about DD. Guess you just have to bite your tongue and hope. At least you've got the Artistry course in your future.

Wishing all a great day.
