Happy New Week, my O-Fam!
The weather is going to be pretty nice for Nov over the next couple of days- sunny and maybe around 60. Good raking weather. I will probably get some of that started while it is dry.

How was your weekend? Did you survive the time change? If I ever ask you you think it makes sense to force me to stay awake later in hopes that I will sleep later in the mornings, go ahead and tell me to not waste my time. I stayed up until almost 10 (should have felt like 11) and I *still* woke at 4 am. By 5, I had to get out of bed and put the coffee on. I was only making myself crazier being in bed and *thinking* about the stuff I needed to do. Might as well get up and get sort of started.

I was good yesterday about getting a lot done, all simple stuff- lots of house maintenance- dishes and laundry and stuff in the attic. Made my week's list and started food shopping prep. I have to finish that today so I can head out tomorrow morning. Or Wednesday. I haven't decided yet.

Best news ever: I scooped the lawn and didn't step in any dog poop!!

I am *thisclose* to finishing the gloves for Caitlyn- I have to do one more row of a picot stitch on the top edge and bam, done! I don't remember if I said or not, but I ended up ripping out most of the glove that had the extra cluster in there. It would have been way too obvious a mistake if I hadn't. I ordered some cotton yarn to make some soap sacks for the gift baskets and they should be in today. My brother gave me a GC to Amazin for my b-day in June and it was still sitting in my account. I have such a hard time buying things for myself. I also picked up a couple of things for Cait/Tom for Christmas. I think that helped convince me to go for it.

Any fun plans today?
HAGD!!!

@tanteva Thanks for the suggestion about the yarn, it is hard to tell if it is just my hands being dry for the weather and the fact that they are always getting beat up, between cleaning, scrubbing dishes, washing my hands after I play with the rats so I don't make my eyeballs itch (allergies).
heh, yes, you can say "gravy" for tomato sauce, I shall dub you an honorary Italian!-- so happy that your pasta bake came out good!
Is the book you are reading a novel or memoir? Cults are fascinating and terrifying at the same time.
*snorts* 8 hours of sleep. Ha. I can do that in TWO nights!
:D

@BrightEyes That must have been a very good book, to keep you up until you finished.
I love clean and soft sheets. Makes it so much nicer to lie there wondering when you will ever fall back asleep. hahah
The potatoes sound very good and that might be a good dish to bring to y ILs for Thanksgiving. Since there is no egg, it's vegan so Tom can eat it. My poor MIL called last night and is worried about what to feed the guy. I get it

@mywisecrafts Congrats on the new iMac! You got a good man!

@bcgal00 You had another busy day, but what else is new? *G* Do you take both dogs to the store to pick out new toys? What did you get them this time?

@scrap-genie The weather for Nov has not been too bad! Hope that your teams did well this weekend.

@Cherylndesigns I also have gloves shoved in pockets of my coats, I found two pairs in one coat yesterday hehe
OMG-- I don't think you were around when I explained how my family made fun of me for wearing my Terrorist Hat in the house. And then my BFF got me some "chic" ear warmers and a scarf so I didn't look like a hobo terrorist. I know I scrapped it.

hahah! I found IT!! It was so long ago-- 2009!
I loved that my hats though and the sweater coat, it was like wearing a blanket. Who cared if I looked like a bum?
I found a post that I wrote explaining this:
I used to wear a grey hat that my kids called the terrorist hat. Said I looked like a terrorist when I wore it. Then my mom got me this white one, the "Anti-Terrorist Terrorist Hat." My BFF got me microwaveable earmuff and scarf set so i would look nice while staying warm LOL

Yes, it's a biography I'm reading. Saw an interview with the guy on TV, and told the librarian in charge of purchases at our library (i.e. Urban) to buy it. It's great having a personal librarian LOL I'm about half way through, and it's a weird world. This book is written in Swedish, and I don't know if Harper Collins mean to translate it. But I've read a book of Sylvia Padilla many years ago. She was also in Children of God (a.k.a. The Family) for several years. I googled her name, and found that there is a documentary about her on Prime Video - called Children of God.

Sunny here today, but they said we'll get snow tomorrow. Though I long for snow, I wish it could wait a bit. We have tons of pellets to get inside. Don't you use wooden pellets for heating in US/UK/AUS? Can't find any translations for it? It only says pellets are small things, something birds cough out or something for guns. Any way, our heater wants pellets, and we haven't gotten all of it inside yet. It's bags of 16 kilograms (about 35 lbs) - kills me. We still have 260 bags to get inside. Kill me please!

Made a layout for one of the challenges this morning - not sure if I'm happy with it though? Will let it stew til tomorrow, and check back on it.

Oh, and @BrightEyes - I'd really like to know what you were reading too. Not that I need an excuse to stay up late, I can do that without books LOL

Good morning ladies. I was out in the yard watching Remi chasing after the hummingbirds as 3 of them were chasing each other around, swooping low and then flying in circles. She finally gave up and starting chewing on the leaves LOL. The rain has stopped but not for long. It's been a wet couple of weeks around here. Our backyard looks like a mud pit. I'll bundle up and head out to the dog park later this afternoon to exercise the dogs.

I want to get some tomato/lentil/rice cooked up in the IP later for dinner and will roast potato slices and peppers for meals throughout the week.

Had a good visit with my oldest daughter yesterday, she came into town for the afternoon. She is enjoying being a grandma (second baby was recently born, Sophia). We haven't seen her yet but hopefully soon.

@faerywings Yes, we went to the pet store yesterday. I got two new bones and a new tuff squeaky toy that Remi has already chewed bits off of. One of the bones is 1/3 chewed already. I've never had a dog that could chew so strongly and quickly like she does. I give the same kind of bone to Taz and it will last him about 4-5 months. With Remi, it is more like a few weeks. Loved seeing the old LO of you. You still look the same :)

Gotta get more coffee and get my day started. BFN

Good late morning everyone! It has been a couple of very busy days for me. I finally got my art work all finished and a lovely coat of resin on them. I will post pics perhaps tomorrow, to much to do today to try to get that done this morning. We had my brother and his wife stay for dinner last night and had a great pork roast lots of veg and they enjoyed it very much! We are all big fans of Yellowstone, so watched the first two episodes of the newest season, soooo good!! They ended up staying the night. Good thing because there was a bit of wine consumption going on LOL. So this morning was spent making omelets for breakfast and just visiting with them over coffee afterwards. Heather face timed while they were here and they had a great talk! My brother and sister-in-law have always been very close with our kids, its so great! Anyway I now have all the clean up to do and plan on getting my January calendar page done today, so far behind with it!! Sorry no personals today, but hope to catch up with all of you tomorrow. Just wanted to say hello and wish you all a great Monday!

Good morning OOOOOZZZZZIES!

Wow, with the time change, I'm actually up earlier. Daisy started barking her head off "in the middle of the night" - I looked at my watch and it was 6, then I looked at my phone and it was only 5! My watch didn't change - I need to look at it because it's an Apple watch and should have reset, but it didn't. I cat napped after she woke me up. The cat was out all night and I thought she was barking because he wanted in. I went to both doors and no Sam. UGH. I never really went back to sleep.

Chris @faerywings I had to laugh about your hobo hat. Hahaha - what a combo we'd be - me in my homeless person gloves and you in your hobo hat. Hahaha I didn't answer you about the dry eyes thing. Of course, being the twinsies we are, you would have them too. I also went to see about one of those "fillers" and about fell out of the chair when the dr told me how much 1 vial cost! AND it only lasts a few months. My advice would be "save your money for your old age because that's when you need it". LOL Wish I'd known that. BWAHAHA

Although - we watched a fantastic documentary about Iris Apfel the other night. She embraces her old age! She's close to 100 now and somebody asked her if she'd ever considered plastic surgery. She said "H--- NO" She said she'd seen too many women who got messed up faces from it. It was such a refreshing show - made me feel good.

My sweet hubby just surprised me with a Seasonal Affective Disorder light today! I just mentioned that I'd like to have one and Voila! it came in the mail today. I have it sitting on my desk. I haven't suffered from SAD all the years we lived in FL, but my old nemesis is dragging on my heels again. He said he expected me to be cheery and chipper again. Haha

Have a good Monday, everybody.

Morning ladies ... this evening lol Time change kicked my butt - as expected the little was up at 5:12 am, so it was a long day yesterday. Had my mom and her hubby for supper, made a really good new recipe (stuffed chicken breasts and homemade stuffed potatoes, with veggies and apple crumble pie for supper).

Hubby hasn't been feeling well, started over a year ago and the last month or so has been pretty bad for how he's feeling (severe gastro symptoms). I finally convinced him to call the Bariatric clinic that did both our gastric bypasses and they have an idea of what is going on, so he hopefully has a followup with his dr tomorrow for meds to help. He's lost 22 lbs in the last month, without trying. When he was 330 lbs that might not have seemed like a big deal but he's now down to 168, he doesn't look well and he's definitely not feeling well! Hoping he gets in tomorrow to try to fix this, I'm worried about him!

Myself I had a dermatologist appt I've been waiting on for almost a year today, he took a biopsy of a spot on my chin that has been changing colour. Hopefully it shows nothing, but I wanted to get it checked out.

Tomorrow is my Wednesday though, it's a 3 day week at work due to Remembrance day on Thursday (and I took Friday off). Looking forward to a few extra days off to relax!
