*grumble* Why does it have to be so hard to adjust back to Standard Time? I woke up at 4 am, tried to force myself to stay in bed until 4.30. Yeah, that was fun. Not! I bet all of you can relate to that, my fellow insomniacs and troubled sleepers. :D

We had a nice time with my dad for breakfast. He called me in the afternoon to say thank you for it, and I told him he and mom did all of the work LOL He gets such a kick out of my kids. I don't even know what Scott was doing (I don't think even *he* knows what he is doing) but he had us practically in tears from laughing so hard.
My mom found a cute pair of black velvet leggings for me to wear with a maroon sweater of Caitlyn's so I am all done and ready to go.

I have some catch up with life work to do around here, but I really need to get some more Faery-Wings stuff done too.

Hope that all of you have a super day!

Rae- I have a silly dog question for you. None of my other dogs ever did this, but when Jaida gets riled up, like she just did now when a bear knocked over the garbage ca, she runs around the house, then starts playing rough with Ray. She does this when I am outside with her too, of she sees another dog. She will get all spiked, bark at the dog, then "attack" Ravyn. Is this just her way of blowing off steam? If feels like it but I would like her to stop. She is only a year and a half, still working her way out of puppy adolescence.
Any tips from you or Nancy?
Have a great time with Beckham, I bet that small visits will be easier for all of you too.
I don't have a tub. Technically, I do but one is Gary's and one is the kids' and I refuse to go in their bathrooms. I wipe down Gary's sink and toilet since that's our main bath, but I stay far away from their tubs :pound:
NJ bagels are the best, right Nancy? :D
Glad to hear that you are slowly feeling better!!! How is the hubby?

Trudy- How did you manage to get such a great night's sleep?? Spill it, I need to know your secret :p
were you able to get calendars worked on? Hope so! I have an idea for one of Caitlyn's gifts- I want to take the image of our tattoos and get a planner or journal printed. I just got some coupons from Shutterfly, maybe they will have something there.

Walmart. Ugh. I resist going to them, but they really are so convenient, having everything you need there. When we first started going to my parents' house in PA, 18 years ago, there weren't any Walmarts near me and they have a huge one there. That used to be part of our Redneck Vacation- the county fair and trips to Walmart LOL

Nancy- high fives to Luther! There were times with Jaida that I would literally wrap my arms around her torso and lift her to get her back on her feet. ha!!
Double high fives to your DH and DS!!! I just had the same convo with my kids and how my hubs doesn't always follow how she had been trained. Having everyone on the same page is a key.
One of the components of Lyme pain is that it is migratory. Mine tends to stay on my right side, but it moves all around. So when my left big toe started acting up it wasn't any big surprise. I am the human version of a box of chocolates. I wake up and I never know what I am gonna get bwuahahah!!

Jean- I said the same thing last night. I don't like it being so dark so early. It is so depressing. And as soon as the sun goes down the temps in my house drop too. Oh, I guess that is something I should do today- plastic over the windows to keep out the drafts. I hate doing that. Not sure why, but I do...
No worries about the fonts! I deleted a bunch from my computer the other day so now I have much more room for new ones heh!!!!

::grouphug and :cof1: to all!

good morning - I am home alone - yea! I was up early as I wanted to walk Luther before taking him to training. My son bought me a heated coat and used it to walk Luther this am and oh was that nice. It runs by a battery and he found out about the coat from one of the tools salesmen. Funny though I cannot wear it to my hockey games as it has too many wires to get through security. Speaking of hockey my Devils looked very good last night and won 4-1. Michael Cammaleri got a hat trick in fact they were his first goals of the season. Yea! They next play the Hurricanes on Tuesday so hopefully they can defeat this team twice in a row.

Chris Lyme's is just a horrible chronic disease and I guess it is not surprising that the pain moves. Glad you had such a good time with your parents. My son and his wife came to dinner and it was such fun. We were laughing too. It is such fun when you can laugh at yourselves. My DIL just helped her parents move her 90+ year old grandmother to assisted living and my sons keep says how my DH and I have to be nice to them as they are the ones who will be selecting our old folks home. LOL.

Trudy hope you got your hike in as the rain ended. I enjoyed my extra hour but I was hungry before the time I was supposed to be and as we all agree it was dark too soon. Hope you got your calendars in gear!

Rae how fun to have Beckham back for awhile. I am sure he and Taz will be happy too! Glad you are feeling better. I can't believe you have a hundred birds. That is amazing! I only get that many when flocks of grackles or starlings decide to visit.

Jean amazing how much we all hate losing the afternoon light.

Have a great day all!

Well, I don't know what all the chatter is about, since I didn't read the other end, but it sure is fun reading it! This is a neat idea. A nice way to stay connected. I always said, some of my best friendships I have today started many years ago on digi sites. I have even hand the opportunity to visit some of my friends.
Beautiful day here in NE Michigan. A 60 degree day on Nov 7th is unheard of, but I am taking advantage of the sunshine and getting my raking done. We usually have snow by now, but who's complaining???? Not me!!!!!
Hope you all have an awesome day!!!

Morning O-zies!! Its pouring rain again! :rain: but it was a nice afternoon yesterday and DH and I enjoyed our hike out to Dodds Narrows very much! A brand new trail for him and he was pleasantly surprised! We got to see lots of Steller Sea Lions and also a couple of otters and a few Harbour Seals too. We watched as three tug boats maneuvered a big bunch of logs up the Narrows, quite the feat!! It was very interesting!!

Chris - Well Chris I wish I could give you a secret to good sleeping, but it sure doesn't happen too often for me!! Last night I was right back to the no sleep zone and woke up at 3am and tossed and turned until 4am. :gaah: I then decided to just get up and started working on my Calendar again. I never got to do anything with them yesterday, so thought I would tackle it at 4am instead. I could have done my posting here at that time, but then I get distracted and would never concentrate on the job at hand. :becky: Short attention span or what??? Your idea for a gift for Caitlyn is a really great one!! I knew you would come up with something!! Hope you get your faery wings products finished up today and so nice to hear that you had such a great time with your Dad for his birthday breakfast!! Yummy Bagels now I am :hungry:

Nancy - Hope you are enjoying having the house to yourself and your heated coat sounds very interesting!! Too bad you can't wear it to the hockey games, it would be perfect for something like that!! But we don't want you getting arrested for setting off the alarms at the game LOL!! Keeping my fingers crossed that your Devils beat the Hurricanes for you!

NancyP - Welcome to the daily chatter forum!! We love to meet up here when we can and its a great way to keep in touch with our digi friends!! No pressure to always do personals its a pretty laid back group here! Your weather sounds spectacular for this time of year, a perfect day to get some raking done!

Rae - we are probably cross posting once again. I wish I could get half the things done during the day that you do Rae!! It seems to take me forever to get one silly calendar page done, then I look at it and don't like it then start over again :loco: Sounds like you had an awesome sleep the other night too!! WTG!! Hopefully you did not have a bad night last night like I did :mmph:

Jean - Too funny that you went crazy with the font downloading for all the challenges! Funny how so many of them are all about Fonts this month. I don't think that was planned. I hate that it is so dark now in the morning too! Poor DH goes to work in the dark and comes home in the dark now too! He hates it, especially since the place where he has to do his work has no windows to the outside world. ( He is in charge of storing the crime exhibits and they can't be seen through any outside window.) So he usually gets outside a few times a day just to see the sky and get some fresh air. Don't know why he loves his job so much? I would hate that!! :noidea:

Ok my tummy is growling and I need to hit the shower too. I went back to bed this morning and slept for another hour, then up again and Skyped with Heather and Mason. So my posting here was interrupted a few times already today. That's ok I love my Skype time!! Have a great day everyone!!

It is beautiful and still in the 60s here. So nice! Not going to last but then it IS November. Schedule on Monday is changing as DH has "retired" from his computer room tutoring at the senior center after about ten years. That means he is home earlier after their musical group meets. Thus I'm losing the time I used to do weekly finances, BOO! Today I can substitute the time he goes to the dentist in a bit.

Chris, outfit your Mom helped with sounds gorgeous. As always, hoping the pain shuts up a bit. Glad to see someone else avoids Wal-mart. I finally gave up going at all after a really good letter in the paper by our senator, Sherrod Brown. Then the local Wal-mart bailed from a long time shopping center to build a super store in part of what had been a golf course. Lots of bad karma in that deal.

Nancy R, that coat sounds amazing! Imagine winter birding in it as well as dog walking. Yea for the Devils win. Hope they keep it up.

Nancy P, nice to have another mid-westerner here. I'm in the Cleveland, Ohio area. The folks at the O really are nice. I'm still in touch with the owner and a couple others from my original digi-scrap home that folded six years ago.

Hi to Trudy, Rae, and all.

Good morning, ladies. I couldn't get onto the site this morning. I had to come thru the back door, following a blog post link to the store and then into the forum. I think it was something on my end, I had to delete the old link I used to follow that somehow got corrupted and I made a new link. Weird. Anyway, I got it working so here I am.

Beckham is here and he was happy to see us and raced out back to run around the garden. He's sleeping beside my chair now. Taz is sleeping on the couch upstairs. I'm enjoying the quiet. I have a ton of desk work for a few days and still need to edit client photos so it's going to be another busy week but at least I'm feeling a little more clearheaded and rested now. I've got an appt tomorrow for a pill refill so I will ask if she thinks I need anything for my lingering cough and congestion. I feel it's better after the wkend but still not gone yet (2-1/2 wks now). I'll be heading out shortly to walk Ava so I hope the clear skies hold until we're done. It was raining all morning but just let up not too long ago. Fingers crossed.

Chris - sounds like maybe elevated excitement level triggers a bit of over-stimulation aggression. I think the only thing you can do is watch for that moment coming when she gets over-stimulated and then redirect her quickly to bring it back down. A quick push on her butt or side or a slight tug sideways on the leash should work to snap her out of that heightened level. I've seen Cesar Milan do it a lot with his dogs (my hero, love him). I used to have to do it with Sandy (my retriever) and the more I did it, the better she got at calming herself down and eventually I hardly had to do it at all.

NancyP - hi. Nice to see you here. Popping in here in the morning is a nice way to start the day and share what's going on. It's a great way for us to all get to know each other more.

Hi to everyone else. I have to get going and crank out a few more letters for work before taking out Taz and Beckham and then heading off to walk Ava (Beckham will stay home and nap). I'm happy to be feeling better. I'm looking forward to getting some fresh air (and hopefully no rain). Have a great day everyone.
