No, your dear faery hasn't totally lost it. It is Halloween in NJ! Not much of a Halloween for many, but IU am trying to get into the spirit none the less. I have my skull and crossbones t shirt on and my skull fake converse sneakers. My candy bowl is full and Gary has the outside decorations ready to come to life. This year he has Lawn Mower Man and a spooky skeleton playing a ghostly piano on the lawn, a gas-masked woman guarding the patio where you will find a TV with a skull popping through a fabric screen lit by strobe lights and Snake Girl whose snake-neck pops her head up when you push a button. Pics to come for sure!

My kids have dr's appt;s this afternoon and they are a little bummed at me that we won't be back in time for Pre-Dinner trick or treating. Like I know Halloween was going to be postponed until today when I made the appt weeks ago. Sheesh!! LOL

I know that many of you have strong faith or belief in good positive energy. Can I ask a favor for some prayers/thoughts for the NY/NJ area. I think the shock of the storm is evaporating and now the anger and frustration is building quickly. My friend saw a fistfight on a gas line, and I am sure there are many more out there. People are starting to get buggy, for sure. It could get ugly very quickly especially now that a nor'easter is supposed to hit the same areas on Wed. Add in an earthquake that happened early this morning a few miles from me and people are spooked. I would love some calming vibes if you got any!! I'd ask for electricity too but that is much harder to come by apparently *wink*

I am off to go food shopping in a few. I am scared scared scared! I am out of everything and since I didn't work last week.... out of cash as well. Please oh please let me work this week!!!! And school, my kids need to get to school!!! Ye gads, I think I am losing it a bit too. And I am blessed with electricity!
(My friend and her 9 yo DD came over last night to shower and Karen said to me that she totally understands The Shining now :hurt

I want to do some more scrapping with the cOmfort. I have used it for 2 pages so far and it is just amazing. Love it!!!

What about all of you?? Did you have a great DSD weekend? Get lots and lots of goodies?? Another thing I want to do is spend time in the gallery-- I got to do a bit the last 2 days and wow, just beautiful pages!!!

Good Morning my spooky little faery!! :becky:I am glad you are celebrating now....I know you and the fam love Halloween!!
...and I have already been praying for your state sweetie...every time I turn the news on and see those towns, I just cry!!! But....I am loving the coming together of the people and the determination!! If I didn't have these two kids, I would volunteer to come up there...our town is holding two Red Cross sign ups this week for people to volunteer to come and help...they said you would be going for three weeks. I saw about the Marathon runners in NY too....running anyway and delivering food and drinks to people wWho need them.


I had a crappy weekend....a bit too much for me to go into here...but I am very happy for MONDAY...and put it behind me!!! Start another week and look at everything a bit differently.....


Going to Sams today (1st of the month grocery stock up)...I went to Walmart Saturday morning....I stock up as much as I can so I don't have to go back but one time after the middle of the month...it's been working out really well...I have been spending a lot less on groceries like this!


WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ELECTION IS TOMORROW AND ALL THE CAMPAIGNING WILL BE OVER!!! You have no idea what it has been like living in a swing state!!!! Which is so odd...because this state is typically been a red state for years and years and years!!!!!! But last election, blue took the vote...so I guess that is why...plus the polling is dead even!!


WE are going to have a beautiful week this week...sunny and in the 50's and 60's all week (except a few showers on Wed)


Maybe I can scrap a bit when I get back from Sams...I hope so...I still need to post the rest of my challenge pages too....

hiya. Chris, it seems like HALLOWEEN will never end!! they rescheduled ours for last Saturday. well, maybe the kids will get some fun and relief from all the Sandy misery. i have been and will continue to pray for New Jersey. i keep thinking of an old Duke Ellington quote. "A problem is a chance for you to do your best." if we could only just keep that in mind as we're standing in 6-hour-long gas lines. unfortunately, i think this country has LOST that attitude. there appear to be a lot more line-cutters and people willing to punch you in the mouth than there used to be. God help us all.

they keep saying that we're supposed to be seeing some sun and getting warmer, but i'm not seeing any of this yet. i am starting to hear about this new Nor'Easter. i have to get over to The Weather Channel to see what's going on. good grief.

i'm still in my PJs. shameful. i've been up since 3:30, and got going on a page. then my son SKYPED, and that took another hour or so. and here i am. i have to go grocery shopping, but i don't really FEEL like it. Chris, i can't imagine what grocery stores are like in NJ at this point.

earthquake. hmmmm. God's sending another message. but apparently only HE knows what it is!

i'm rambling. so, off i go. i hope everyone is starting off the day with a little fun and laughter. if it doesn't come to you, go FIND it!! :angel:

Well, guess who's got Chloe's cold now? Yep, fortunately I don't feel too bad, she is still home from school, but I think tomorrow she will be able to go. I will then sleep all day, lol!!
