Welp. It is here, the last day I have before I have my official holiday FREAK OUT!
I have to say that things are slowly coming together- as in they are only millions of miles apart instead of light-years apart. Progress. ound:
I finished cleaning downstairs so I will ask Scott to start bringing the boxes down from the attic. I also decided to make life "easier" (fingers crossed this works out as planned) and instead of trying to shop for separate gifts for my two nieces, I am going to put together a little basket of homemade items for the family. I think I am going to do the same for Arlene, my brother and SIL, my ILs. Maybe even my mom and dad. It means I will be busy but it will be easier than staring at the computer trying to find items in my budget.
Besides cleaning, I finished the LO for the upcoming party. I also found a pattern for little bat ornaments and I made one for Cait's stocking. I have to say, it came out really cute, I just have to sew it together and add some eyes/fangs. The best part of it was my first successful magic circle!! A magic circle is a way to start crocheting in the round and you can pull the stitches very tight to close it up. I never was able to get it right and would fall back to using chain stitches which don't look as good. But woohoo, I did it!!
First thing this morning I am going to pull all of my cookie ingredients out and take stock. Then I am going to see what needs to be added to the grocery list and place that order.
BTW- I asked Gary about the shortbreads and he said yes, he would eat them. He said he probably shouldn't but that he would anyway. No surprise there! hah!
I need to get Cait out of bed to start her day. Back in a few!
