:faint: What a weekend....... I need at least another day or two to recover, but nope-- not happening until maybe next Sunday. And that is only considering physical stress. If I start thinking about mental stress....

(oops.... if any of you see this, I posted my accident, I meant to "Go Advanced" but I hit Post instead. Now I am in Edit Mode. Oh wow, what a great start to the morning)

Anyway, the weekend was busy and fun and stressful and all that good stuff. Gary has been even more sick than usual, and has been cranky with me. We had friends over Sat. Kim and I have been freinds ever since I met Gary and we had lots and lots of drinking fun BK- before kids. And some after as well... LOL So we both ended up drinking too much. But Gary doesn't drink at all any more and was apparently NOT amused. My kids were busting on me for being so buzzed, b/c (sad to admit) they rarely ever get to see me kicking back and having a goofy fun time. He took it that they were upset and/or embarrassed by me and I got yelled at. *hangs head in shame*

Sunday was a bit tense.... we did have my friend/neighbor's Tastefully Simple Party to go to and I am so happy and relieved that I was able to get my IL'sC-mas gift done!!! They have just about everything, and anything they don't like would be waaaaay out of my budget. So I snagged some dip mixes and will put together a little basket for them yay!!!

Today Gary and are are supposed to be heading to hisparents, they awant to buy us a new sofa for C-mas since the futon we have is literally falling apart. It was a hand me down when we got it and that was about 7 years ago. Of course, Gary has been unable to leave the house, so I might be going by myself. Too bad, b/c I am not picky, as long as my feet touch the floor when sitting down, I am all good.

Me me Monday..... ugh-- I don't even want to think about the fact that I am not going to have time to breathe today.....

Morning peeps!

Chris, it sounds as if it's kind of good that weekend is over! Take a deep breath and don't look back. Hope the couch shopping is quick and productive! That's a nice gift for you all.

Laurie, great work on the house. Bit by bit... I don't think anyone is wild about eye drops but hey, at least we can get eye exams. I am amazed at how much even the equipment is changing from year to year!

Once again, I am trying to start my day with 15min of meditation. It happens if I get up earlier! like 6am or so. I did today, and it's a 'Start as you mean to go on." Now with one of those technicolor sunrises, it's lace up me boots (LOL) and head to the gym.

Have a Marvelous Monday peeps.

let me start out by saying i neither meditated nor exercised, nor am i likely to. here's my daily exercise--> :bounce: wish i could get into those sorts of things. i know i'd feel better and maybe every happier if i did. hmmm. maybe i see a New Year's Resolution here! my hat is off to all of you. Chris, you are, as I have often said, amazing.

i've got some errands to attend to today, which is going to require a lot of zigzagging all over the city. in the rain. then i have to finish up some more of my Christmas cards. not everyone is getting the home made ones, but i have to put together about 20. then i have about 30 unfinished projects around the house that mostly involve moving things from "here" to "there." that always involves cleaning up the "here" part after the stuff is moved to the "there" part. then figuring out what to put in the newly vacated "here" part.

i am increasingly having the feeling that i need to run away from home for a while. maybe someplace warm....

it's Monday. it's raining. woot. :faint2:

Hello Monday! Hello ladies!

Nice long weekend and it flew by. My kids were home for the holiday. One for just the day as she works in PT at a hospital and had to work Friday. the other one home all weekend and fun to have him around.

Back to kinda sorta routine today. Headed to exercise and wish we could figure out a way to go together, Maureen!!! That would be fun!

Chris, hope you find the perfect couch for your home and family.

Laurie, have a good day and get that eye exam out of the way. Way to go with the two miles already!!!

Enjoy your day people!
Donna

Hey, Phylis! Good luck with all the projects. Enjoy that zig and zagging and be careful. The thought of warm is very nice as I look at the calendar and what is on the way!

Hi Ladies-
I used all my Black Friday purchases and made 22 2 page paper spreads over the weekend on my doll albums 7x7 to 8x8 conversion.... I got a paper cut and it stings. I had to go out yesterday and get the next round of paper .... I have 8 more 2 pagers to go and that project can be put to rest. probably not today but maybe by the weekend. I used that garage sale credit ..... still more left but it feels good to have a project almost done that I wanted to do with a little accumulation of new stuff! Don't be to impressed with the quantity I just cut a lot of cardstock 8 x 8 and a few new mats.

I'll be zig zagging errands later too and dodging rain drops .... just put out the trash and the recycle there's puddles everywhere.....

Phyllis when I was married the here and there ..... was called making straight things crooked and crooked things straight..... I'm good at that ...even the dust and dirt..... it's the putting away stuff that gets me!

Everyone- hope your weekend was fun! Hope you have a good week dodging raindrops... snow and the work challenges!

Brrrrrrr!! A brisk morning here in Texas, the coldest yet. We woke to a crisp 35 degrees! It was hard to get moving this morning... esp after an exhausting extended weekend of travel. Whew! I need a vacation from our holiday. hehehe
We had a good visit with family but so glad to be home. Not much on the agenda today. Laundry, meal planning, coupon clipping... fun stuff! :D

Chris - sounds like you had a busy weekend. Good luck with your sofa search. Don't forget to breathe!

Laurie - sounds like you are hard at the "house attack" and have a nice momentum going. the eye drops are a pain, but I agree with Donna, get that exam taken care of and behind you for another good while.

Phylis - I am with you... can you pack me in a suitcase and take me with you?

Donna - it's good to have the kids home even if for a day. ;)

Debbie - paper cuts are the pits. It does sound like you work up a scrapping frenzy. WOW!! I would be thrilled to be able to cross something off of my project list - Kudos!

Okay... have a great day everyone. Time to get these home tasks sorted out and done.

Morning ladies... not :rain: this morning, what a nice change for this Monday. Actually it was a beautiful sunny day yesterday too. So nice that DH put up the Christmas lights. I had to go out and hold the ladder for him a few times because the darn house is very high. I would have freaked out being up there so high, but it doesn't seem to bother him too much. Now today he has to go back to the store to get some more lights as many have seemed to have died over the last year. Long day for me today, but doing back office work that I enjoy, so yay!!

Chris - You remind your hubby that you are allowed to have fun sometimes, you deserve to kick back and be silly!! Pick out a great couch for your Christmas Pressie, a great gift for everyone!!

Laurie - Wow 2 miles already!! I'm still wiping the sleep out of my eyes.

Maureen - Have a great workout at the gym, good for you!! I wish I had your discipline!

Phylis - I think we should all pack our bags and meet somewhere nice and warm, you pick the spot I'll bring the sunscreen LOL.

Donna - How nice that your kids were home with you this weekend! I can't wait to see mine again over Christmas, its been way too long between visits!!

Debbie - Wow you have been a busy lady!! Take care of that paper cut, they hurt :hurt:

Trista - Keep warm today and hope you get all your house errands done!!

Hope everyone has a great Monday

Quick add in to Phylis's ziging and zaging. Sometimes I end up doing what Dick calls 'rearranging dust'. That happens a LOT in my studio!
