Wasn't it just yesterday that I was shocked it was Monday again? And here I am again, flipping out that it is not only Monday but the last Monday in November. Yikes!!
How was everyone's weekend? Did it go by quickly like mine did?

I think I finished what I needed to do, but there still seems so much more to be done. There is always that feeling this time of year.
I placed my grocery order, worked on my plans for tomorrow, and messed around with Scott's microscopes. I was trying to find any tardigrades or nematodes in the moss samples. At one point I thought I saw stuff moving in the water sample but it was only the debris rolling because my DR table is uneven. I'll check again today but even if I don't find anything, the kids will (hopefully!!) enjoy using the microscopes in general tomorrow.
I am cleaning for my friend this afternoon- normally I go on Wednesdays but I am going to need Wed to do my own cleaning. And cooking. And then some more cleaning. LOL

I hope that you all have a fantastic day!! xoxo

HAHA, Chris speaks the truth! And then there are the circles and jug-handles. I had my sister and Indiana friend in the car once and made the left turn via a jug-handle and hear quietly from the back seat, "Well, that was interesting...." :D
For real!! Hahaha!! :angrydriver:

Yesterday was a busy day... finished all the :laundry: except for 1 load. It is the red/burgundy clothes. I am wearing burgundy sweats today - so will do that load tomorrow. Also scrapped some not yet released kits and worked on a December challenge. And did a few chores around the house. I was tired in bed and turned off the light by 7:30PM!!!
I would have been in bed by 7.30 too!
The trees are weird here-- my Japanese maple still has most of its leaves, and usually, that is one of the first to drop. The beeches are bare but some years they keep their leaves all winter. Everything is a little topsy-turvy.
So happy that you had a wonderful birthday and let us send you our wishes and love ♥
I finished the sign painting at the club. A gardening friend and I went to buy some shrubs to plant in front of the club main building. I dug up a large succulent shrub I had and another friend got some plants so we planted about 35 shrubs in 2 days. Oh boy do my knees hurt .....so much for putting off their replacement...I'll try resting them with before I go see the surgeon again.
Today is Thanksgiving Feast at the club so we will be cooking for 80 aprox. I'm cooking a turkey, corn casserole , Jay is smoking a ham and a sugar pie...We always work in the kitchen then help with cleanup. Yesterday I went over to put the tablecloths on and help decorate.

I am not surprised your knees hurt after all of the landscaping work you did. My knees hurt just thinking about it.
How was the Thanksgiving Feast? I bet there was a lot of love and laughter. And food!

That's me too, not we ride at dawn, but I will help you slide and fall and we go together! :giggle4: Glad youre home safe and sound and got some awesome photos!!!
We would need to put on our bubble wrap suits and then help each other up as we fall and fall and fall again!
I'm unfamiliar with what you are asking me. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
I know it-- "relax" is a word that always sounds "wrong" Ha!
I've got the devotion done for the widows, basically. I will be reviewing it several times and adding/subtracting as needed before I call it done!
When is the next meeting? If you are like me, you'll be making adjustments right up until you begin. I hope that everything is worked out with the car for the trip to your DDs! Do you have AAA? If not, it might not be a bad idea to sign up for it, just in case.

@faerywings F1 is actually not going around in circles. That’s NASCAR. They do left and right turns and straights too! It is so much more!
:rotfl: That also sounds like NJ highways. , throw in some traffic lights and strip malls and people who pull out in front of you, they sound the same.

A few years ago when we had our last big boat the stupid insurance company wanted to do an inspection. It was winter the boat was up on land and shrink warped. They wanted to do an on land inspection then one in the water. It's expensive to put the boat in and take off shrink warp then put it all back on for the remainder of the winter... What a battle we had. They finally waited till spring so on launch day they inspected the boat then when i was set into the water fro the rest of the inspection and for the rest of the boating season.
What a PITB that must have been!

I've heard stories about the NJ Turnpike from my deceased husband who lived in NJ for several years as a kid! Pt. Pleasant Beach.

The next meeting is Dec. 10th. Yes, I'll probably be tweaking it several times! For one thing, it is a bit long in the current status!
Yes, we do have AAA! My first husband and I got it originally as a gift from his mother because of our traveling from NC to Ohio to see her. We/I have kept it ever since and we/I have had to use it on a couple of trips!

:D HAHA, Chris- so true and I like your emoji's :giggle4:
Vicky, well the Jersey shore in the summer and beach season adds a whole 'nother dimension to it all. Might not quite be the same as the Highways, but you often need the highways to GET to the shore and that is truly NO FUN! Then, of course when you are there the Beach traffic is amazing too! :eek:o_O

Good Morning,
I'm with you, Chris! I cannot believe this is the last Monday in November! Where did the year disappear to?!
I need to finish up a couple of scrapping things today because tomorrow I will spend the day doing laundry and packing for our trip to my daughter's house in Ohio. We are leaving Wednesday morning and won't be traveling back until late Sunday night or Monday morning. I, personally, am hoping it is Monday morning, not Sunday evening....but Mark is the one who insists on doing the driving, so whatever he wants to deal with is OK by me! There are 3 tolls to go through in WV but we have the EZ-Pass, so at least that is covered! The toll prices are ridiculous!
Anyway, I'm looking forward to our long visit with my daughter and family! The boys are teens now, so they won't be hanging out with grandma much, but the granddaughter will be all over me...and that's OK! ;). She loves doing crafts! A girl after my own heart! I may try to teach her to knit while I'm there! I gave my daughter all of my jewelry-making beads and equipment a couple of years ago and Araya has been messing around with it all. She is definitely a girly girl and loves all the primping stuff, LOL!
OK, that's it for me.
Have a wonderful day! I will be back tomorrow to wish everyone a happy holiday!

Happy Monday, it is another grey wet day here, but hey its supposed to be that way this time of year. Another crazy busy weekend for my Gary and myself, lots of errands and shopping and more shopping today online. I want to get everything bought and shipped before much longer, so I can breath a sigh of relief when it is all done! Dam Canada Post is still on strike so its a challenge to find things that can either fit in our suitcase or get delivered by courier. Anyway I pretty much know what I am getting everyone, so that is half the battle! Next Saturday the In-Laws have planned a get together with them and the SIL's, Gary and I and they are treating us to dinner NICE! However they also announced that they want to have a family meeting, so not sure what that is all about?? We were over to their place yesterday and they gave us papers to sign that makes my Gary a alternate Power of Attorney for them. So we have to book an appointment with the Notary to sign the papers in front of her. They are being very secretive about getting all of this put in place, especially since my DH has been talking to his Dad about doing this for a long time now. Anyway I have lots to get caught up with around here and I need to get my calendar ready to send to the printers.

Wasn't it just yesterday that I was shocked it was Monday again? And here I am again, flipping out that it is not only Monday but the last Monday in November. Yikes!!

Good Morning Lovely O Fam!
Its too warm!!!! 35 and the sun isn't even awake. Its a mess of melty yuckiness.

I'm feeling blah today. I have to clean the house and meet a friend for coffee. Will be fun but after the last two weeks I am just blah. The "rainy feels" dont help either. This isn't gonna help the lakes to freeze safe.

Off to get coffee and adjust my 'tude if I can.

Good morning ladies. I'm off to pick up an owl decor piece (marketplace). I might put him in my office to enjoy. I need to get my supplies ready for tonight's centerpiece party I'm going to. I have no idea how this is going to turn out but I'll give it a try. Might scrap this afternoon if I get time.

@AK_Tracy Hope your blahs lift and you enjoy getting out for coffee.

@faerywings Don't stress, everything always gets done.

@vickyday Hope the car is fine for the trip, sounds like the mechanic thinks it will be.

@taxed4ever Hopefully all the shopping and delivery/packing works out ok. Guess it has to LOL. Not much we can due about the stupid strike...grrr. It frustrates me that they can be allowed to strike during this time of year.

I'm heading out now and hope to come home with a cute little owl decoration. Have a great day everyone.

The morning slipped away... I was busy scrapping and realized a minute ago that it is lunch time. Still in my PJs so I decided it will be a PJ day for me! :rotfl::floorlaugh::yesss: I am nice and warm in my cuddly jammies so no need to get dressed. And.... I will make the rest of the day a "do nothing" day. The right knee is still giving me fits (hauling laundry bins back and forth didn't help) so will limit being up on it for another day. The temps will be going down starting on Wednesday...

Wow. Monday I'm glad I am not alone in saying November flew by. Yesterday we served about 80 people at our club Thanksgiving Feast. It was fun with lots of food but I was holding a friends baby so didn't get to eat much. Everyone love the gathering so that makes it all worthwhile. I'm glad that is done now I can concentrate on Friendsgiving dinner here, only 10 people so it's easy.

This morning I went to HD to order a new stove. I have one burner that doesn't always go off right away so it's hard to cook on. Hubby wanted to get new switch but I wanted a new stove...after all I use it every day. I will get the new on Dec 4th just in time to make Christmas food. I'm pretty excited, it has 5 burners...one is fast hot. It also has convection oven and air fry but the best is steam clean not just self clean!!!!
I also went to the window treatment area to price up new vertical blinds for the club...Black Friday Sale makes a great deal so I hope the board votes yes tonight so I an go order them.

Granddaughter starts in a new dental office today. Still assistant to dentist just a nicer place and more $$$$ I hope it's as good as they promise.

@AK_Tracy Wow you sure have had fluctuating weather. When you stop work it was get cold and stay that way so no more driving in slop. I hope your coffee/friend time is enjoyable...friends are always good for us.

@BrightEyes all day in PJ's...wow. I could never do that I envy people who can. I never know when someone is going to stop by and I just don't feel right. I guess the cold weather makes PJ's feel even cozier.

@vickyday I'm glad the car is fixed so now you can be on your way.

@taxed4ever all that POA stuff would really have me wondering what is going on.

To all who have traveled Jersey shore/beach roads...crazy busy in the summer and certain hours. We always tried to pass through evenings or early mornings or best yet winters.. Note-even the waterways/ICW are busy in the summer there.

Someone asked what a "sugar pie" is...I'm sorry I do not remember who but it is a sweet cream pie popular in southern Indiana...our financial advisor is from there so sends one every year.

@faerywings the kids will love looking through the microscope it would be fun for me too so I hope you have fun too. You are doing wonderful things with the kids I bet they love it.

@bcgal00 That sounds like a wonderful bus trip I look forward to seeing some pic's from that.

Nope! The car isn't fixed, unfortunately. He will have it for tomorrow and then we will pick it up. He says the problem is not going to keep us from driving it. Then we will take it back to him next week when we get home.
