Good morning. Y'all ready for Monday?? I am so so so soooo happy to be facing a "normal" week!!!!! So exciting!

Did everyone have a good weekend too? We had so much fun at my parents' this weekend. I love it there. My kids really get even sillier. They started a new meme: "Messing with Mom" and played pranks on me the whole time. The best prank they did was to turn everything in my bedroom upside-down. Comforter, pillows, lamps, picture frames on the walls. (We watched Apartment 143 on Halloween so that was a creepy touch)
We also got into some fantastic political discussion with my dad. Its awesome seeing your teenagers express themselves intelligently. I think that my kids are left of me (I know, it might not sound that way, it *is* possible hahahah!:hippie:), so I don't always agree with them 100% either, and some of their ideas are not practical. but dang, its good to see them thinking about their futures. And I swear, if Scott could get his grades up, he's make an excellent lawyer!!!

Today I am happily working at home to get caught up on boatloads of stuff!!! Even bills and paperwork and filing-- all has to get done today.

Me Me Monday-- if I can get my work done, I hope to have some time to scrap. or bake. Not sure which. Maybe bake and then scrap while the stuff is in the oven??

HUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning ladies! Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend Chris. Much deserved! And it sounds like your kids had a great time too! Hope you find time for baking and scrapping.

I actually spent time scrapping! Don't know how it happened really...but it did and I sure enjoyed it!

Brian's off work today (Veterans Day) so he will help run kids tonight. So I will only need to run Syd to basketball practice which is about 5 minutes away. And it is 1 1/2 hours so I can leave her there and come home. Someday Brian will get back on days...and I can't wait!!!!

Hope you all have a great day!

Morning O fam- I have finished my work out, having a second cuppa, lunch is made, need to hit the showers, the scale and get my bills done before work. I enjoyed the sun and beautiful temps this weekend, put my roses to bed and transplanted peonies- in November- amazing. Off to a full work day and home (me me) to be done in time to shop after work.

hi, Chris! glad you had a fun weekend! kids are sooo funny. sometimes.

Linda, YAY on help with the kids' schedule today. i've got my hubby at home, too, and i think all the help i'm getting from him is carrying some big boxes of Christmas presents to the FedEx place. which is good. i am not a fan of having to carry 30 pound boxes around. i bought a lot of books for The Grandmen for Christmas, and that makes the boxes weigh a TON.

Laurie, how much trouble are roses? what do you have to do to put them to bed? do you guys get a lot of Japanese Beetles where you live? the BANE of rose bushes. i would love to plant some roses, but i don't know if i would take care of them, or how trouble they are.

today. hmmm. more housework, i keep putting it off. i do a little bit, then i get distracted with something else. that's the thing with housework. it's always there, waiting for you, even if you put it off. i hate that about housework.... where are Overnight Elves when you need them?? you know, the ones who clean up while you sleep?

God bless the men and women who put their lives on the line for us every day. and who have to go where clueless politicians point them.

distracted? Phyllis, did you say distracted?
I guess I am, als always!

I meant to come right back here after I got out of the shower, but that was 2 hours ago. But, I did get two loads of laundry folded and put away, litter boxes scooped, and 2 bus stopp runs. So this is my super-de-dooper quick break before I head off to my next project.

And guess what MMG is making me add to my list? He's making me make an appt with my gyn. I complained again about how awful I feel and he told me that it seems to be getting worse every month and that I am way over due. Now, I know Phyllis has been yelling at me for the same thing but it is way easier to ignore someone's advice who lives in my computer than the person who lives in my house. hahahah!!!!!

Linda S- enjoy having another co-pilot for the kids tonight!

Laurie- its gorgeous weather here today and I would love to get the rest of my flowers cut back as well.
Does anyone have any tips on mums? They bloomed beautifully this fall but the are very tall and leggy. I want to cut them back properly.
Hope you enjoy your day!

Phyllis- yeah, you can yell at me and say I told you months ago to make my appt. Books are great gifts! Can never have too many books!

And yes-- many blessings on all of your vets and those currently serving. My hope is that one day we will only need you to look good in uniform (men and women of course) :D and never need you for war.

Morning everyone... Well as usual it was :rain: for the Remembrance Day Parade, but hubby looked very handsome in his Red Serge. We all went for lunch afterwards and Hubby got a nice surprise from his Parents and Sisters for his 35 years with the force a beautiful painting ... here's a shot of it

Trudy- I bet he does look handsome! Is the horse he onn his "partner?" What happens to the horse after he retires?

Any ideas what to eat as a remedy for totally f**ked up stomach? All the stress in October has made me having a hard time eating like everything. No dairy whatsoever - my lactose intolerance, that I really haven't had any problem with since I was pregnant, has come back. With a vengeance. Too spicy food isn't good - not too fried either. Tried fasting the other day - took half a day and I was ready to DIE.

Please tell me you have any super remedies from your great great grandmother or something!

ugh that sounds awful eva. I know when the kids were little the grandmas would say BRAT diet. Bananas rice apples toast. I swear by soups.

Feel better!

Eva, welcome to my world.... Pepcid and Tums Smoothies. they get me through the day. Imodium is great for cramping. notmexactlymGramma's remedies, but they work. and soup is good, like Chris said. good luck, and hope you feel better fast!

Chris, thanks for the laugh out loud moment! i loved that bit about ignoring someone who lives in your computer! well, i am just GLAD you're getting your Parts to the gyn. and, BTW, hysterectomies are the greatest, when All This Women Stuff becomes HELL!!

Trudy, the painting looks fabulous! what a terrific gift!

P- I asked Gary if hysterectomies could please be voluntary. He said prob not with my insurance. bwuahahahh!!!

hey girlies!!! Still learning my new laptop and I just lost a HUGE post!! Why can't I remember to CTL-C while I type?????

Anyway, hugs to all of you this wonderfully gorgeous MONDAY!!! (You've missed my cheery Monday-ness, I know it!!!)

Eva, try Apple Cider Vinegar. A dear friend says she takes a teaspoon of it every time her tummy is upset. hugs and feel better!!!

I'm off to work!! If any of you know where I can get an easy wordpress/CSS tut book, I'd love to know it!!

love you all!!!

Happy Monday girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eva I'm sorry for your tummy troubles... man that sounds BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a good day today, more energy so I cleaned and baked and thought I had time to scrap but noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo but I did however do some much needed commenting in the gallery cuz it got me stoked to scrap something tommorow! That is if I don't feel like shat all of the sudden hee hee!!!!!!!!! There's so much more I could be doing but my poor uteris feels like it's going to fall out!!!!!!!!!! Which reminds me of a silly poem...
There was an old lady who lived in a shoe
who had so many children
HER UTERIS FELL OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
bwahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa and it would be nice if I actually knew how to spell uteris!!!!!!!!!!!!

sigh.

evening all - I did make it to the store- looking for jeans with myu 30% off at kohls, ended up with these wide waistband khakis that are like little kids pants- fake fly and no zippers or buttons- for the crawling around on the floor I do- I bet they are great!!

PHylis- I use dust on the roses when I need to- it was so hot this year that I didn't have too many japanese beetles. I just cut them back to fit the styrofoam covers on.
