Happy Monday, dear Ooos! I am sending out grateful thoughts to all veterans around the world today :lovey3:
IIRC Trudy's Gary is participating in a ceremony so I am sending good thoughts to him as well.

How was everyone's weekend?
We had a really wonderful time at my brother's. Christopher was like a different kid with Marlin (his puppy). He typically would be quiet and didn't say all that much but get him talking about the dog... he adores him and Marlin seems 100% attached to Chris. I didn't get any pictures at all. My dad seemed to be in good spirits which was a nice change. Maybe reaching this birthday milestone will help his perspective and mood. *fingers crossed*

Good news/Bad news!
Good news: it rained overnight :woohoo:

Bad news: I looked it up and all we got was .20 inches. :crying1:
The next forecasted rain-- Monday the 18th.

Good news: the fire is 10% contained :dance2:
Bad news: it went from 2000 acres to 3000

Good news: I'm here and I have coffee and that is good news too!

HAGD, my friends!

@BoatLady I bookmarked that website, TFS! I have seen a Monarch Waystion poster in the breakroom but I don't know if we have done anything with the kids recently. I will be sure to the director next time I see her. It would be awesome to do that-- at least *I* think so! :D

Button alert-I posted my button page today
:couchhide:

Work was nice and quiet, got a lot of files purged (over 8 years old papers) and things are looking good for "handover" time. I have until end of December so I am not counting down yet as they keep adding weekdays to my schedule. I have to work 10 straight days starting Thursday. Plus all my Saturdays. Its crazy but it will help pay for the holiday season.
This made me angry for your sake but then I got to the last line... and I get that. I hope that you are not putting your health completely on the back burner, please try to pace yourself.

Chris I hope you have a wonderful time at your dads birthday party. I am sure he will love the dessert you made him. :heartpumppink: AND YES stop comparing yourself (preaching to choir too as I do comparison so well).
We are like two peas in a pod. :floorlaugh:
The 12x12" tiles make so much more sense than all of the smaller ones. Either, way it looks awesome but I think you saved a lot of sanity for your dh with the large pre-laid sections. LOL

@BrightEyes How was your kick back and read day? Sounds wonderful! Have you finished all 8 books you got from the library last week yet? You must be close ;)
Hope your body aches are better today.

Tracy- if I ever move, I want a house with a bigger kitchen. It doesn't have to be an eat-in kitchen but I would love one with counter space and a path for more than 1 person to walk in it at a time.

@vickyday how are the devotion revisions coming along? I'm sorry that I can't remember when you are leading this, is it coming up soon? (The 18th is in my head but that could be b/c I wrote it was the next day we might get rain).

@mimes1 I am going to have to keep my eyes open for kestrels and check out how they sound on the Merlin app. It's possible that there will be wildlife in unusual places with the smoke and fires so close. There have been bald eagles breeding right at the edge of where the fire is right now for the last several years. I hope they won't be affected.
Awesome awesome awesiome that Bella Moving Stage 1 is done! Still sending good luck vibes to her for the job interview *fingers and toes crossed!!*

@Cherylndesigns (((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) Happy birthday and love being sent. I don't have any words but I can't imagine how hard it must have been for you without Chuck. Must have knocked you off balance and then some.
it's good that you had a fun and productive day yesterday shopping with Adrienne, just a little boost and feeling of normalcy must help ♥

Yes, Chris... I finished reading all the books - last one last evening. Good thing that I like to re-read my favorite authors as the library is closed today for Veterans Day. I had a bit of a "not so good" last evening as I was starting to clean up after supper.... I started feeling light-headed. Made it from the sink back over to the kitchen table, sat down and took my BP... it was 90/65!!!! Then I realized that I forgot to put my medical alert necklace on after my shower... it was in the master bedroom. I rested in the chair for a few minutes then slowly - still sitting in my kitchen chair (with wheels) - used my feet to roll from the kitchen to the hallway and down it to the master bedroom to the nightstand where my medical alert lanyard was. By then I was feeling more stable. The walker (with a seat) was also in the MB - so used it to go back into the kitchen. Took the BP and it was back up to 105/75... Decided it was time to head for bed and rest. I read for a couple of hours but kept the walker beside the bed just in case I needed to get up. (Note: I haven't used the walker since my bad spell last year - but kept in the MBedroom just in case.) Yes, momma Chris, I did use it this morning to go into the kitchen and take my BP... it was 118/78.... which is in the normal range for me. Whew... So I finish cleaning up the kitchen as I had left all the dishes/pans where they were last night. I had enough low BP spells last year so I recognized this one right away. If the BP had stayed low when I took it 15 minutes later I would have called 911 - but it came back up (just like it did during last year's spells). So today will be another 'do nothing' day and monitor the BP. And, yes, I will keep the walker close by. Think I was dehydrated - didn't drink enough water yesterday and that caused the low BP.

@Cherylndesigns - first - happy belated Birthday wishes. Oh, sweetie... I fully understand the let-down and emotions that hit the day after your birthday. My birthday is right before Thanksgiving - so understand the let down the day after your birthday. The first milestones after the loved-one's death are so hard. :hug2: And the holidays can be especially difficult. I made a real effort to decorate the house for Thanksgiving and Christmas that 1st year but also gave myself permission to grieve when I needed to do so. Having your family close by to love and support you will help. But also give yourself time alone when you need it. I am sure that Chuck's spirit and love surrounds you and will help you get through the hard days.

Good Freezing Morning O Fam!
We are back to normal temps of 18* this morning. I might actually have to wear my coat today. My next totally at home do nothing day is Wednesday before thanksgiving. Not sure how that happened but ugh. Oh well.

How was everyone's weekend?

He typically would be quiet and didn't say all that much but get him talking about the dog... he adores him and Marlin seems 100% attached to Chris. I didn't get any pictures at all. I'm so glad you had a wonderful time! I knew you would. How wonderful that Christopher was so talkative, even if just about Marlin. That had to be so fun. I love the dog connection and what it can do for people. Brings so much joy and happiness.
I hope you get some more rain though. I've sent it on its way, hope it makes it to you.
This made me angry for your sake but then I got to the last line... and I get that. I hope that you are not putting your health completely on the back burner, please try to pace yourself.

Dont be angry for me with work, its so typical :giggle4: Last time (yes I quit in 2020 and then went back in '22) I only gave 4 weeks notice so they had no time to plan extras. Plus the long time employee who use to work all the extra days retired last May. So the new kid cant be left totally alone that long. If D were still working then I wouldn't be working. I'm just thinking Christmas will be paid for.

And yes, the 12x12 tile is a must if youre gonna do glass tiles that small. I think he may have said no way if I told him each tile was placed individually. Even being pre-laid they took a day to place. The space we filled was 18" high so of course we still had to cut some tiles and then edges and and and........... just need to seal it and trim the edges. Almost done.
I had enough low BP spells last year so I recognized this one right away. If the BP had stayed low when I took it 15 minutes later I would have called 911 - but it came back up (just like it did during last year's spells). Oh Kay that is scary!! I'm glad the BP came back up on its own. Drink your water. I will Mama Chris since she's busy at the moment. **searches for Chris's whip***

:whip3:Drink your water!!!!!:whip4: Take care of yourself!!! :whip3:

Now, listen or I'll send Chris over to you!!!! :giggle4: On a serious note, I am glad youre oaky and BP is normal today. That has to be scary.

Off to get more coffee. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!

@BrightEyes that is so scary!! Thankfully you recognized all the signs and could respond in a safe and effective manner! But you better listen to Tracy and Chris!! Hope today is quiet and restful, and that you continue to feel better.
@BoatLady you're inspiring me to get that button layout done!
@AK_Tracy 18 degrees? That's cold. :cold:
@Cherylndesigns Big Birthday hugs for you, and even bigger day after birthday hugs for you. Sending tons of love your way. :hug4::heartpumpred:

That's so cool that you have Bald Eagles where you are. I hope they're ok too. The fires are so sad.

Belle and Mark left this morning to go back to Belles house. Mark will come back Thursday with another load. Today is rest and scrap day, may put some things on the walls in the new computer desk area. We did however fail to recognize one thing in this move. The internet line that connects to the computer is in Belle's room. It's the only one upstairs! There is one in the new computer room, but when we moved in the internet company came and disconnected that wire because we weren't using it. Thankfully we have one of those plug in internet towers that connects my computer to wifi. Mark called the internet company today and made an appt to come hook the wires back up in the new computer room. It's one foot from the computer and will it will be fast again. Right now the computer works fine but it's too slow.

Hope you all have a good day!

Happy Monday to all!
And Happy Veterans Day!
Left the house a little after 8 this morning because I couldn't get my food order to go through last night on line. Since I didn't really need much I decided to hoof it!

I stopped at the post office and noticed the engine light was on.....again! Called Mark at work to see what I should do. He called the mechanic to see if he could look at it. Took it there and was told the problem was in the same system we just spend $1000 on, but a different code! GRRRR!! He will look at it on Thursday! He said it was ok to drive, however! Well, maybe so.....but I'm not taking a chance on driving the widows to their meeting tomorrow in it. So I will drive someone else's vehicle.

I went to the grocery store and took Mark his food for work. Started talking with the boss and his wife and was there 30 minutes before remembering I had frozen stuff in the car. Came home to put it away and scanned a bunch of receipts into the Fetch app and then left again to go to lunch with Mark.

The rest of the afternoon will be spent reviewing my devotion for the widows tomorrow and making final adjustments. I bought a bag of salad for supper and took chicken out of the freezer to cook for the salad.

The wrists are doing better! But just the little bit of typing I've done here and I know it is time to give them a break!

Have a wonderful afternoon!

I hope you win just a small lottery, Tracy. Wouldn't that be awesome??? It doesn't have to be a big one - just any kind of extra money. It's such a temptation here - SO much lusciousness in our Oscraps store!!!

Thank you, ALL of my dear friends, for your support and love. I've had a rough few days, but I'm hanging in there. Thank you for the special notes and comments - I'm not sure why I "hit the wall", but I did. I have an indominable spirit, and don't stay down too long though. Chris @faerywings thanks for your always unwavering support and Kay @BrightEyes you know I love any "words of wisdom" I can get from you - you know how I feel. Today has to be difficult for you being Veteran's Day. Your handsome Bill would be so proud in his uniform. To the rest of you, thanks for your messages and love. I promise "I'll be back" - said in my best Terminator Voice. LOVE all of you. :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred: :heartpumpred:
