Good morning and a very happy Monday to all of you! It looks to be another gorgeous day. It was nice to be outside and not feel cold yesterday. Gary was muttering how hot he was but I was very happy.

Caitlyn brought us a puzzle of Bermuda as a souvenir and I think this is the hardest one we have done so far. I have a plate filled with solid blue pieces all the same shade with very few unusual shapes. It is going to be the kind of puzzle where you have to try one piece at a time. We started it on Friday and we have the edges done and a few inside pieces. So crazy hard.:frusty:

I spend a few hours outside, mostly cleaning the patio. My parents dropped in to give us some patio chairs that they don't use anymore. They will look pretty once the patio is cleaned up and I get some flowers and plants in there. I have to find a place to keep the cushions, however. My parents loved the pics of the cruise, said how happy Cait looked.

In the morning, I ended up doing my food shopping online. There was a half-price special on the shopping fee so it was only $5 and they had some really good digital coupons but they were only good for Sunday and Monday. I went through the site, placed the order to be picked up for Monday. Within 10 minutes, ShopRite called and said that there is a glitch in the system because they aren't even open this Monday. Such a bummer-- until Gary said that he would go and pick the order up. They weren't busy so they did it right then. Now I don't have to go shopping tomorrow, yay!

Today will be more yardwork and garden prep. I want to run over to the garden center to get the plans and I also need to get a new hose nozzle and shears. Scott is working there today so I hope he will be able to help me pick out what to get.
I am really looking forward to getting my plants, they make me happy!

Have a fab day!!!

Kay- it got to 83* yesterday, it was amazing! Yes, even though I had no reason to worry about the mammo results it is stressful while I wait. I am going to call the surgeon's office tomorrow to make an appt and see if it will be my last with them *fingers crossed*
That is too bad that it was too windy for the balloons, was yesterday any better?
Bet the photo scanning brings back lots of happy memories for you.

Nancy- Welcome home!! Who me, worry?? Nope. Not at all, not even a tiny bit.
Hahaha! (I actually was worried.)
Happy anniversary!! What a wonderful way to celebrate. Bet you had a hard time figuring out which flying objects were birds and which were bugs!

I was working on scanning photos yesterday afternoon, when I started hearing something... looked out and it is was pouring rain and the trees were whipping around like mad again!!! Then the thunder and lightening began. Needless to say, I shut the computer down ASAP. Our area was under a high wind and thunderstorm warning until 8 PM. That was the end of my working on the computer for the day. So I went back to reading instead.

Glad it didn't hit until afternoon. Had a wonderful potluck lunch after morning services at church. Got to chat with some friends there. I took a big bowl of watermelon and not a speck of it was left. They have a casual Sunday and potluck once a month which everyone seems to enjoy.

The family is getting together this afternoon/evening for dinner. Grandson-in-law is fixing carne asada [grilled sliced beef for tacos]. Seems like all the men in the family are good cooks. I thought I was coming down with a bad cold last night as the nose was stopped up and throat was sore. But feeling much better today so think it is okay for me to go over to DD#1's.

Nancy, so glad to have you pop in again. Happy Anniversary... sounds like you had loads of fun on your trip.

Chris, glad your hubby was able to run over and pickup the groceries you ordered so you got the sale prices. Yikes... that puzzle sounds like it will be a huge challenge. Glad your folks gave you some patio furniture. We have a large storage bin that can also serve as more seating where we store the cushions for some of our chairs along with the hanging lanterns, etc. Good luck on finding your plants, etc. It is still too unsettled for me to try to get some for my pots in the front/back yard. I noticed that the ties for the new tree in front had come loose... so need to get out and get it tied back to the support stake. And, I need to get some new hoses for front and back. The ones I have are full of crimps and bends so it is a challenge to get water through them. I am going to go with those expandable lightweight ones this time.

Hope all are enjoying the holiday today.

good morning - Thinking on this Memorial Day of my son and all those who have served to keep freedom free. My son held his annual BBQ yesterday and wouldn't you know it there was a late afternoon thunderstorm. But it did not deter them and the kids had such fun in the rain and throwing water balloons. We left before the rain stopped as we are still recovering from vacation. We figured we traveled over 2000 miles. Luther was super excited to have us home. The house was in good condition after us being away so long but the grass needs to be cut whew! I uploaded our photos and now I get to scrap a new project. I did follow hockey while I was on vacation. I was bummed as none of the hotels we stayed at had any hockey channels. I had to use my iPad to watch games at night and my twitter app to follow games during the day. I know poor me LOL. But tonight the Stanley Cup final begins. Should be a good final as both teams are strong and have goalies playing really well. I know Trudy and her Gary are happy as The Bruins are their team.

Chris thanks for worrying. Really it was just to be a short trip but my DH really got into to finding all these stops for more birds. I was talking to my son's MIL yesterday at the BBQ and she was on a cruise that was delayed into Bayonne because the ship in front was the one that had the medical emergency and had to go to port first. Turns out it was a heart attack for one man and that precipitated a heart attack in his wife. Sorry that Cait's trip delayed. But sounds like she had a great time. That is so cute about the walkie talkies. We gave them to our kids before iPhones. It sounds like you have been having fun in the dirt. Happy belated birthdays to Scott and your BFF. Hope the stress has lessened from the mammogram.

Kay I have been read about your yard work and congrats on finding the correct one. Sounds like they did a great job. I hope the balloons finally got off. It is such a cool sight. We have it in NJ but closer to the 4th of July.

Trudy congrats on the Bruins in the Cup final. I was sad that they swept the Canes but only because I like hockey. Hope for 7 games because who wants hockey to end. Also congrats on the paints and the sale. That is fantastic though not surprised they are beautiful. I would find it hard too to write a biography.

Jean glad to see you finally got the new Surface. It is always the pits loading the programs on a new computer. Fonts there are always so many fonts! Good luck there!

Rae so glad you popped in. I see all the photos on FB - gorgeous. Great news about B and her new residence. Sounds like it is good for you too!

Felis I saw that you thought I could explain the why all of a sudden there are all these law makers passing anti abortion laws. I cant explain it because I don't understand. Is it the need for men to be in control while using the Bible for support? I am not sure but if these law makers feel the need to support life before birth I am always struck by their same lack of support for these children after birth. I really am starting to believe that there is a fraction of men that do feel threatened by equality because they will have less and they just don't know how to deal. They like power. But I really cannot explain.

It is a beautiful day in NJ. Have a great day all!

Looks like it will be a lovely day here for Memorial Day observance. Mostly every day has some threat of rain or storms. But the plants seem to love it. My art class session ended Thursday with us all getting messy doing gelli printing. I think I'll continue with the summer session in 3 weeks. I've got more drawings on the blog, 10 now posted since the class began.

Chris, so glad Cait had a great time and brought you another tough puzzle to keep you busy. Good luck with finding your plants today. Waiting for official word on mammo resutls is not great even though we know we would hear right away if there was a problem. So nice you had heat and time outside finally.

Kay, yikes, don't like thunderstorms and especially not on the computer. We had some briefly yesterday but I was reading on my computer, but on battery, so didn't stop. Hope the trees are still OK and the new one re-attached to its support. Carne asada and the men cooking sounds wonderful.

Nancy, welcome home! What a delight that trip must have been. Congrats on the anniversary and having such a nice guy to travel with. Birds must have been super but can remember some FL time not getting out of the car for the mosquitoes. We'll be watching hockey tonight too.

Hope everyone is finally have nice weather.

Good very late morning ladies... It is a beautiful sunny day here today and our temps will be soaring by the afternoon! :bliss: I am sorry that I have been MIA for the past few days, but the usual very busy weekend for DH and myself. Saturday was very rainy, but Sunday was lovely with blue skies and we spent the majority of the day outside. Oh I have to share that not only did one of my paintings sell, but 2 did!! Both on the same day, by two different people. I am so pleased!! So the lady that owns the gallery wants me to bring in a couple more paintings. So I have been busy putting the finishing touches on a painting I did on Thursday. It took 2 1/2 days to dry so I am scrambling to get the varnish and hardware put on so I can take it to the gallery this afternoon hopefully. I really need to catch up on things here also, so it should be another busy day for me LOL.

Chris - How nice to have new to you patio furniture, I bet you will be so happy to have the patio all cleaned up and pretty flowers to look at while you are out there! So happy that the Mammo results were as expected and I sure hope that you will no longer have to keep going for these check up, but somehow I doubt that that you are done :sorry: That puzzle sounds pretty challenging, but you can do it I know you can!!

Kay - Sure hope you are all done with the high winds for awhile! Too bad about the tree losing its top, so frustrating! :frusty: It does sound like all the men in your family are great cooks, lucky ladies!!! Hope that you don't end up with any kind of a cold and you get to go to enjoy the yummy meal being prepared!

Nancy - Nice to see that all is well with you! Yes thanks to all those who serve, we can never repay their sacrifices!! Yes DH has been counting down the hours until the game tonight! Cheer loud for us Nancy!! It should be an exciting series and we sure hope that our goalie continues to be as good as before the break! Sounds like you and your DH had a lovely extended vacation! Hope you and Luther are enjoying a nice day and that you get to go for a great walk today! I bet Luther is so happy to have his mommy back home!

Jean - So happy that you are experiencing some lovely weather for your Memorial Day! I will have to check out your blog and see what you have been up to! Signing up for the next summer session sounds like an excellent idea! Enjoy your day!

Alright it is 10:30am and I am still in Pj's so I better hit the shower and get going on this days happenings!! Have a wonderful Monday everyone! Hope the sun is shining on all of you today!

Popping to say Hi to all. I've been busy in the garden tidying up and cutting back plants that want to overpower the small space.
We got Joe his summer cut. He looks like a different dog and it took me a while to adjust to it. lol I will get around to a before and after page at some point.
For the last few days we have been seeing water pooling on the kitchen floor. After watching for it we decided that the freezer drawer door is leaking. So the repairman comes tomorrow to give us an idea of how much it will be to repair. It will cost $125 just for him to assess the repair. Sheesh! The thing is only 4 years old but nothing seems to last anymore.

I have to toot my own horn a bit... totally unlike me, ... but I was so pleased to find that one of my CT pages made it to the Gallery Standout Blog May 26. Yay me.

Currently I am working hard on my June challenge I do elsewhere and trying to complete as many challenges as I can. My biggest problem is choosing which of our wonderful designers' kits to use. ha ha
I'm off and running. Have a good one !

I have difficulties, for which I don't wanna talk. Which made me cranky and not a good company. Looks like this summer couldn't be as I expected it, but mostly will repeat the previous few. I have no desire to scrap, read or other hobbies.
Wasn't plan to chat, but I saw Nancy is back and I was waiting for this comment :mmph: .

Nancy, I hoped that as in similar situation happened before, you will can show me something that I've missed.I can explain how much this bother me! I want to be understand correctly, I don't want to criticize other countries, but till in Ireland they are stick to this politic from ages, it's very upset when some country is been modern and then turn back. I am for supporting and loving life, but with social workers and psychologist. You can force someone to keep her baby, but not to love it. What give them right to save one life who will be spent in suffering?! This is punishment not mercy. I admit I'm not familiar what is written in Bible for that, have to check (And let's not forget that Bible allows you to own and beat slaves, so came on, they can't read it selectively :mad2:!), but from biological side, before the first breath the fetus can survive alone, it is just another organ another kidney, appendix or heart. I like this metaphor for second heart, but still it is just a organ, your own, till your womb feed it. Chris, was mentioned about one TV series which she was watched, where have episode about my country and people who sell their babies. Unfortunately this is based on true story, which shocked the whole society, but we can't know how long this black market is exist before the journalist to catch it. I'm scared for all these women victim of rapist, which will have to do something cruel like that, or even worse.

Now to the personal personal notes:

Karen, this sounds awful! Hope it is not one of these cases when on a final repairing cost more than buying new!

Trudy, I'm doing the happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hooray and congrats for your sales! And many more to come! :champagne:champagne:champagne:choclove:whoo:

Jean, the new drawings are lovely too, especially this for the France trip! Same weather here some treat of rain everyday, at least I no need to water my veggies!

Nancy, I knew you are busy with something fun!! I can't wait to see your vacation pages! Congrats on the anniversary!

Kay, hope yours trees can be saved and replanted again!

Chris, to be honest I'm not updated with all happens around you last week, but hope you are good, my friend! I'm happy you finally have your hot, enjoy it! Oh, so you planting now? Here is too late for that. I'm sure you'll make something fabulous painting and refreshing these patio chairs!
