GooooOd mOrning O-Fam!

Ready for some deep breathing? Close your eye and relax your jaw/neck/shoulders. Deeeep breath in- feel it in your abdomen. Slowly let it out. Another deeeeep breath in-- slowly release. One more time-- in---- and out---- Wiggle your jaw, shrug your shoulders. Feel the relaxation.

As you can tell, compared to the last couple of days, I am feeling better. Not great but better. I will take it! I think that talking to my fam, typing things out here, and then spending so much time in the dirt really helped. I know that I had said here, at the beginning of this mess, that everyone was going to have crazy emotions and reactions to it all. Too bad that I don't know how to take my own advice. :lalala:

My mom called to chat in the morning and told me that she didn't want to make too much of a fuss about Cait's honors in front of Scott and could I please tell her how proud she was. Then, Caitlyn talked to Scott about this, concerned that he was upset. Turns out that he was more upset that Cait might not have gotten the recognition she deserved, that he is thrilled for her. He talked to me and asked me to tell Grandma that as well. He was so sincere about how he knows that her grades are on a different level and that nothing should take away from that. He also knows how far he has come and that we are proud of him too. My goodness, my kids are amazing.
Caitlyn told me that after he left for Leah's, she was going to miss him (even though he is only going to be gone for 2 days LOL). This is the longest any of us have been apart in over 2 months. The longest time prior might have been 1.5 hours when we had to drive to Walmart to get groceries.

It was a perfect day to be outside, it was sunny but not hot so it wasn't an issue being covered head to toe. Ticks are still a big worry so it is good to be wearing leggings/boots/hat. A shirt too- no worries about me forgetting that part *G* Caitlyn and I worked on an old puzzle, we are doing lots of repeats. Then we took the dogs for a walk. I had J who does not walk nice. Cait took W who is an amazing walker and Ray too who is really happy to be walking again. She even starts to trot on occasion. Very cute to see that.
I moved two clumps of black-eyed Susan's to the side of the yard. They had somehow grown in between two cinderblocks that are at the front edge of the driveway. I pulled out the cinderblock and split up the clumps and replanted one of them in the back and one along the side by the woods. They should take nicely. Scott is going to help me pick out some veggies and herbs one day this week and we will pick them up at the garden center in town.

Today I might have to go with Cait to take Tat to the vet. She texted me late last night that Tat was acting weird and very wobbly on her feet. I could use some good thoughts for both Cait and Tat Rat. (Rational Brain to Irrational Brain: Do *not* go there)

Gratitudes:
-all of the little things that my family does for each other
-that Scott and Leah are together, the 2 months apart was so hard on them
-the weather! I will take cloudy and 60's over the last few weeks of rain and cold

Nancy- Do you see lots of other walkers when you take Luther out? We have so many dogs on my little street so we try to time it when they have already gone past. But Luther is a good boy and my pups are brats. *winks* That is awesome that the garage is cleaned! Cait and I have plans this week to start cleaning up the attic. It won't be too hot to be up there this week.
What channel/service is Outer Banks on? We started Season 1 of Homecoming last night. I kept seeing ads for Season 2 so we figured that we would give it a shot. That is on Prime. I don't know if I could handle seeing the Outer Banks, I might get too jealous of it. We watched Bloodline (FL Keys) one winter and I was dying inside hahaha!!!
I hope that the Shore does OK, looks like the beaches will be open bit al of the boardwalk games/rides will be closed. Smart!
I will have to check out the Emeril Air Fryer- my birthday is coming up next month and my mom is going to start asking.

Jean- What was your movie about? This is the one that the rental went o your local theater? everyone is being so creative in this.
I am so happy for you-- what a fantastic weekend, filled with so many things that you enjoy!!! What will your Thursday chat be about?
I love that idea of the music students having a concert for the neighborhood. It had to be so uplifting. Two kids from the HS marching band went to different areas to play the bagpipes. A bunch of people on the town's FB page was asking if they were doing more of them.
Gary enjoys all of the doc's on the musicians. They seem to be on in the background al of the time. I was telling him some more about the podcast I am listening to, so interesting. The State Dept and CIA had programs sending musical groups to Africa during the Cold War to promote Western values as they were decolonizing, Nina Simone, Louis Armstrong among them.
I hope your DH has a great time H&S-ing today and good luck with the groceries. Be safe!! Procrastination and lack of motivation have become ever-present and hard to break out of.

Hugs!!!

Good morning - my DH is taking Luther to the vet for his annual check up and shots. He will not be happy when he gets home. You call the vet when in the parking lot and they take Luther in and then call when done. I talked to my DH yesterday about what Luther needed and then gave him the sheet and I swear he never listened to me yesterday. We went to a different park in the next town. I really don't like the park but it is good for change. It is not long and no real path so I really had to watch where I was walking but I guess that is good to do. Finished Outer Banks and I want more! They cant do season 2 as all production is shut down. Cooked an interesting dinner. It was barley mixed with roasted fennel and red onion, an arugula/pear salad and chicken with a cool dressing. The barley was a great change and it really all tasted great together. The weather was pretty good all weekend so that was nice but there was some crowding at the beaches.

Chris I totally understand how hard it is to be the one who always gets the good grades. But knowing your kids I am not surprised at how well each supports the other. Glad that Scott and Leah can finally be part of your family bubble. That is how I have decided to look at my son and his MG. Have fun at the garden store picking out new plants. When walking Luther I have found out that 10 am is a great time especially on weekdays as that is when more parents who have school aged kids are doing their home schooling so we don't see that many dogs. But if we go in the afternoon there are more out but not bad as when we meet one or the other meet crosses the street. At the parks there are now signs and marks on the paths that show which direction to walk. Pretty cool how fast they did this.

Jean congrats on having such a great birthday weekend. Have fun with the zoom meetings. I love that even your DH is able to play his music online. Looks like you are getting rain. I am bummed that tropical storms/hurricane season is starting earlier. Enjoy the birds.

Morning, gals. Back to waking up early... like at 4 AM!!! Couldn't go back to sleep so go up and fooled around on getting a couple of pages done. Finally went to get BP and take meds. I am a bit bummed... my BP has been up for the past 3 days so that means I need to add the lesser strength med back in the evenings. The doc had warned me that might happen and I have the meds to take.

We had a nice family video chat last evening. For some reason, it was cutting in and out... sometimes freezing the pic while I could hear the video and sometimes both cut out. Then it got where the video was not showing... just their initial but I could hear. I gave it up at that point... as we had been chatting for almost 2 hours. Think there were a lot of people on the internet at the time as even FB was acting funny.

I had to make a run to the Post Office on Sat to drop off a bill that needed to go out ASAP. I picked up the mail later only to find I had another bill that needs to be mailed out today. The cable company mails their bills with a due date of less than a week when I receive it!!! I asked before if they would change that so I had at least 2 weeks since I have to mail to them... they don't have a place here that accepts payments. They won't do that. Grrr.. So I make sure that it is postmarked a few days before it is due. I don't use the bill pay through my bank as someone tried several times to access my account last year and fortunately the bank caught on before there was a breech.

Chris, glad you got to get into the 'dirt' and feel better since you did that. Yes, your kids are very supportive of each other. I hear you about how it seems funny to have Scott gone for a few days... how quickly the 'new normal' becomes what we expect and when it changes it gives a feeling that something is missing or wrong.

Nancy, hope your DH remembers what he is suppose to do when he gets Luther to the vet's. Maybe you can get a few things done while they are gone.

Sorry this is so short but need to get the checks made out and do a quick run to the PO. When I went on Sat there was a long line of masked people outside the door. So glad they have a drive-up box outside that I can use. CYL

Hello girls!
The weekend was good, because my family have this annoying habit to argue badly, to said things that hurts, and half hour later to act like it's nothing happens. I'm not like them, when something hurts me I keep it with me, for weeks and months. My mom told I'm like my granny (father's mom) in that quality. Thank you to all of you for the nice words and virtual hugs!

Anyway! We start weekend on clear, so it was nice. We was even able to work on my record player, and almost fixed the first, but its needle fall to pieces. Unfortunately the second also don't have needle, and have to many damages. Looks like this is lost cause. At least was fun to try. My family went for grocery shopping and bring also some seeds for me from small farmers market. Chris was told in some of the previous days that it's too late for planting seeds, which confuse me, as here is the right time for veggie seeds planting direct at the garden. So I planted seeds today. Unfortunately it's too hot, and even I did it early at the day, I got awful headache and weakness feeling. So I spend rest of the day inside, and forgot lots of the things I had to clean LOL , and my To Do list is crossed only partly.

Chris, I understand your feelings so well! But you are stronger than the depression and despair, my dear! Take a day to cry and listen sad songs and eat ice cream, dig really deep! But on the next day dissect all these feelings and then throw away all the parts! You can do it! Your family is in good health, successful graduate and everything gonna be alright! You'll see!
I'm so happy for Scott and Leah! Hope my sister to be able to travel soon too! Positive thoughts and vibes for both Cait and Tat Rat!
Oh, yes, ticks are huge problem this year. Our vet notice us that same lab that test ticks is human tests lab, so now process covid19 tests and ticks aren't priority. Have fun at the garden center, I know you love this!

Nancy, usually our vet come at home for annual check up and shots, so this isn't nothing new for me. I just hope someone to not need emergency, because then will be really difficult to process! Hope Luther is fine! Sorry that you didn't like the new park! Why you try new places? I mean is there reason or just for fun?!

Kay, hope you'll be able to do your task at the PO! It's so annoying to have to do multiple tries! LOL sounds so familiar with this video chat troubles, my mobile net is so slow, so often make trick and troubles.
I was thinking on your words about parents and adult children live together from Saturday, I think this is culture difference. My family is from subgrup which is old fashioned and we live sometimes three, even four, generation at one household. I can make a comparison with the Mennonite group in US. But we aren't conservative as them, just live together for more security as the crime levels are high here.

Jean, Oh your weekend sounds awesome! How nice to have this concert on the front porch! I'm sure that these applause from distance was highly appreciated! How was the H&S Zoom?
LOL nope I didn't go on shopping, :p again. But this time even they decided to shop at the near town in opposite direction, as we didn't needed from many things.

Trudy, how is the painting progress?

Gratitudes:
lots of free times so not rush in planting and cleaning :decision:
