GooooOd morning O-zies!
Are you all ready to breathe in some sunshine and warmth? I need to warm up my very cold toes. :)

Close you eyes and imagine that you are somewhere warm, sunny, and safe. Reach your arms overhead and towards the sky. Imagine that sunshine flowing to you, through you. Into your arms, down your spinal column, warming you down your legs, through your feet, and into the earth. Take a deep breath in and feel solid strength of the earth and bring that up through your feet and up your spinal column. Release it through your hands to the sky. Breathe in and out again. Lower your arms and relax.

(My toes are still cold but I feel lighter!)

How was everyone's weekend? I have a great day yesterday. So much fun and goodness.
The visit with my parents was awesome but I really wanted to hug her. That part is really getting harder. She brought up little bottles of prosecco and Scott and I had that, Cait made another pina colada. She asked if it was OK, I said, Are ya driving anywhere? :D

My mom gave us money to order dinner and the Chinese restaurant that has good vegetarian options is open again for pick up so we ordered from there. We have enough food for 2 more meals I think. It was so good. I haven't had decent Chinese food in ages. Scott drove Cait to get it and he was joking that he was scared he forgot how. He hasn't driven in almost 2 months.
After dinner, we played Scattergories and we were laughing so hard. Everyone comes up with the most ridiculous words. Cait wrote "Acorn Stove for Squirrels For "A" and "Kitchen Appliance." A "Car Part"-- Jiffy Lube Tube
Scott had something else that was bonkers, Gary too. We debate how many points we will give someone and We ended up giving Scott a .6 for one, and Gary a .4 for something. Cait and Gary both had strange and similar answers and Scott didn't;t have one so I awarded one point to Gary and Cait and one to Scott as well. Cait got "annoyed" so Gary gave another point to Scott so he got 2 pts for no answer. LOL
OMG-- what a fab mother's day. See Hallmark... we don't need cards and candy or flowers- just laughter!
I also got a sweet text from Leah and wow, I miss her so much. The kids are isolating for 14 days so they can see each other again. Everyone is a bit nervous but it should be ok. Right?

Today I decided to deep clean the bathrooms/tubs. I have been wiping everything down on a regular basis but it needs a scrubbing. It is cold and rainy again so it is a good day to do it.

Wishing everyone a fab day.

BTW- if anyone cares, the Pirate metal band's name is The Real McKenzies. As an Outlander fan, ya think I would remember that.

Nancy- What is a Ninja Foodie and if it makes dinner, how do I get one? :D
My pups were very confused by the snow. I am smiling at the image in my head of Luther prancing around in it!
How sweet of your friend to give you one of her MIL's quilts. IKWYM about the hugs. Some day... I know you saw Gary's video of the birds on FB-- so freaking hilarious! When we were outside with my parents in the driveway, we could hear them peeping.
Too funny about Mother Nature wanting hockey! LOL

Kay- Oh yes, I remember that too with the flowers...huhn, funny how memories get triggered. I would never have thought about that.
How was the family video chat?
Silly question for you- how does your family "respect" speaking one at a time. My family and extended is loud and there are usually more conversations going at one than people at the table. Add in a lot of hand waving and occasional shouting and that is us. The Zoom party for my nephew was the first time that we did this and that was just with 4 families/boxes- a total of 11 people. We are going to be doing more of these as we celebrate more occasions in May and June. How do you do that???

Felis- you are too sweet!!!! You are strong and resilient as well. We make a heck of a good group here, don't we? :)
I am so sorry to hear that you got sad news, when and if you need to talk, you know we are here to support you. HUGS~~~~~~
We don't have to do much for the birds, their Mama is always with them, we were more concerned about the snow getting on them and being too cold. But between her and Dad- let's just say we have *lots* of bird poop on our cars LOL
Livvie is doing much better! Tat was sneezing a bit so Cait has been listening to her lungs several times a day and if she needs more meds she will call the vet quickly.
I would gladly take your hot temps. It is too cold for me here. Hang in there.

HAGD!!!

good morning - I really dislike weather reports. Last night before I went to bed they said rain overnight and then sunshine and 60s and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Yet I now am having rain with sunshine coming. At least now they are saying 80s by Friday. I had a nice Mother's day. My oldest bought his motorcycle after his wife had been taken on a ride and was comfortable with seat. So he was so happy. On the walk with Luther I finally saw the fox and I saw my first warbler the yellow rumped. That made me really happy. Of course I watched the finale of Outlander and it was really traumatic but they did a really good job. I am now just hoping Diana's 9th Outlander book comes out soon so that I won't have such a Doughtlander wait. ABC also did another of their Disney sing alongs. I love hearing these songs. Some are from movies I have not watched in years so it is really nice. Got my fairy pages posted. Got lots of photos from my son so I should be busy. I think it is interesting how differently we look at photography. I will see something I want to take a photo of and maybe take a couple of shots, my son on the other hand will just keep shooting hoping one comes out. I realize he is taking photos of kids but it seems so wasteful to me LOL even though I know its all digital. So today a walk with Luther, cook and scrap.

Chris so glad you had such a good mother's day. I did see the video of the babies. They are so cute. My DH came back from a walk with Luther so mad at robins because Luther just loves to chase them LOL.

Kay that is such a lovely way using the flowers on Mother's day but I don't remember it at all at my church. Glad you are having decent weather. My sister sent me a photo of rain drops on her patio so perhaps you will be getting some too.

Felis so sorry you too received sad news. For me in the US we lost a lot of singers and while I did not know them losing like Little Rich is sad as I listened to them for so long. I hope your fur babies can make you feel better.

Waving!

Happy Monday Ladies!! Our last nice day for a few days as the rain will begin this evening. Oh well we sure did enjoy these past few days of summer!! The Azalea and Rhodos are all out in bloom and my clematis is blooming now too in the back yard. So pretty! Hope that the rain does not ruin the blooms, they don't last very long as it is. Today I need to get some house cleaning done, then I will begin the work on the kitchen cupboards. I can't wait to see the change and will take some before and after shots of each section as I go. I have an area all set up in the kitchen where I will do the painting and really it doesn't take up much room at all, so it will be good to not have to put things away. I had a nice Mother's Day and spent most of it outside in the garden, while DH cut the lawns, we had a few coffee breaks on the deck and face timed with the kids. Wish I could have sent some warmth and sunshine to them, it has been so cold and rainy out East.

Chris - Thank you for the lovely meditation!! I did not have to imagine going anywhere as it is warm and safe right here. I am keeping my fingers crossed that you will soon have the summer weather you so deserve right now! What the heck is Mother Nature doing?? You would think that she would be happy that the pollution levels are down and she would reward us all with lovely warm sunshine LOL. I know what you mean about the hugs! So hard to not be able to hug our family! I picked up eggs from my sister yesterday and it was so hard to not be able to thank her with a hug! I gave my other sister who lives nearby a card that said I missed her face, with a mask on the front of it as she is a front line worker in a care home. I wanted to let her know how much we appreciate what she does! She was so happy to see me and wished she could hug me too! Hopefully soon! How nice that your family got to have the Chinese food! I have not had that in a long time either. You are right we do not need Cards or flowers, we just need each other!! The gentleman that wanted the Raven Painting came to pick it up and he was over the moon happy with it. I did not get to talk to him too much as our Son was in the middle of a face time call with me. But DH talked to him a bit and he thinks he wants a few more pieces done. How nice of Leah to txt you for Mother's day, I bet she really misses you too! Hope you get to do something fun again today with your great kids and hubby!

Nancy - Sure hope that the sun comes out and the temps warm up like they say they are supposed to. How great to see the fox, I have never seen one in real life. The bird spotting was great too! Yes Outlander was very traumatic, but I was expecting it to be. So strange to see the way they have changed things from the book, but I guess it would be hard to keep everything that the book had going on. I think we are all waiting with pins and needles for the next book to arrive, hopefully soon!! Wow how nice to receive the quilts from your friend! So very special! It must have been hard not to thank her with a hug!! Glad that your son is happy with his new ride! Also so nice to hear how happy your other son is too!! You are very blessed to have such wonderful boys!

Kay - Yes, I have heard of that tradition of the flowers for church. I wonder if any of them still do it, I will have to ask my MIL. Hope that your allergies are better now that wind has stopped and the rain is on the way for you. Hope you had a great Zoom get together with the kids!

Felis - I am also sorry that you got some sad news! I hope that you can find some comfort in the company of your family and your kitties!! Sending you lots of gentle hugs today!  ::grouphug

Ok I will get busy with my morning chores and then get started on cleaning the bathrooms and washing the floors. At least I got all my :washing: done yesterday. Then I will tackle the re-do of the cabinets. Wish me luck everyone! Have a great day!

Good evening girls!
So here is what I was doing past few days. My dad was push on side all the heavy cabinets/furnitures (I don't know the concrete word, on my language every element have concrete name so probably they have on english too but it's not comes in my mind). And we was cleaning the fur and dust behind them. As Chris was mentioned in this season fur change is problem. So I finished rearranging one of the rooms a little bit.
I wish I had some interior design skills, but I'm a zero in this. I don't have any feeling for space. I have some good ideas for furniture functional for cats play, which I'm saw from IG or Youtube, but I'm just finishing putting them directly where I had blank space at the moment, a little bit like tetris game. Oh and also few years ago I was interested by Feng shui, but I'm not sure did I get it right, as it's not surprising to opened some door and just at front of you is put a cabinet, because Feng shui scheme is told me this place. Also most of these heavy retro library cabinets and beds are left in the house from my grandparents. They are so nonfunctional for pet room, but I can't throw away something that is still in good shape. Especially when I know how expensive they are been in past and how many days and suffering my granny is spent in tries to bought them.
So that was. Past few days I'm trying to figure out some more functional plan for these heavy furniture. We moved them so cats beds to be lighted by the morning sun, when this is still pleasant, instead of afternoon when it's become to hot and I'm let cats out anyway. I think it's turns well. It have what to want, but I'm satisfied for now, will see what will come at autumn.

Chris - ITA: "Thank you for the lovely meditation!! I did not have to imagine going anywhere as it is warm and safe right here." I needed exactly breaths exercise today. Such a lovely visit with your parents! My family is never had habits to kiss and hugs the others. Except 2 welcome cheeks air kiss, there isn't other acts of contacts. So we don't even notice this change  . Your family games are always hilarious!
Yey for kids finally able to be together!!! :high5:

Nancy, its sounds cynical, but I know that exactly you will understand me correctly when I say that: I'm a kind of prepared for Covid19 news, but the f***ing cancer's news, cracks me down! Of course the loss is painful at the same way, but the element of surprise hit me. Thank you to all of you for the words of consolation!
Oh I love Disney songs to! I watch one girl that make ASMR videos and she was singing them in french and english version, was pretty cool! I know you'll enjoy scraping the new photos! And I'm on your son position I'll keep shooting hoping one comes out, so I had to delete so many blur or just the tail is left there pics :) .

Trudy, I knew that people will want to have your animal paintings in groups! Oh, yes,yes please show some before and after pics, I just adore your style! Last photos (of the stairs) was like it is magazine. Uhh, I want rain too! Most of my flowers are after bloom now, so the next group will needs water to shows. :rain:

The day had gotten away from me and now it late afternoon! ! ! ! I realized that I had not printed out some of LO pages that were to go into Hubby's Memory Album for the past couple of months. Guess I can blame it on ending up in the hospital early in April.. then I forgot about them. Saw the album this morning - so went back to check on what pages I needed to print out. Well.....it was over 2 dozen of them! ! ! Found the cardstock I needed so loaded the printer up and started printing them. The first one was full of streaks so did a nozzle cleaning and printed it again. Now it only printed in yellow and black... UGH! Did another nozzle cleaning ... and another one... and another one {checking to see if it was printing like it should. NOPE!! Tried cleaning the nozzle heads for the 4 time and got a message that there was a problem with the nozzle heads and to look at documentation. Long story short... ended up calling Epson Tech line. Told the tech what I had done and the results so far. She had me turn it off then back one with a twist to get to the POWER CLEANING and ran that... it took over 10 minutes to run it. Finally... got a clean print with the colors when I did a check sheet. All in all, I must have spent over an hour and a half getting the printer ready. I was smart enough to write down the 'twist' to get to the power cleaning and put it with the paperwork for the printer just in case I need to use it again. Guess that is what happens when I didn't do any color printing for the past month and a half. Need to put a reminder on the printer to print out at least 1 color print a month to keep the nozzle heads clean!! So it was noon before I could even get around to start printing the LO pages. They really turned out nice and crisp with clear colors. Got them organized and put into the album just in time to get out the American Hot Tamales (cabbage rolls) to heat up for supper. Turns out that they were still half frozen although I had moved them from freezer to fridge yesterday afternoon. So another half hour spent heating them in a pan on the stove. Just got the kitchen cleaned up and popped in here to see what has been going on today.

Trudy, Nancy and Chris... guess I was showing my age when I talked about the different color of corsages for Mother's Day. I know we did that in the 50's and 60's. Maybe it fell out of fashion after that. Just like you didn't wear white heels after Labor Day!! LOL!!! I was a bit of a rebel as I would wear my white heels until we had the first snowfall. hahahaha

And speaking of snow... DD#2 in Chicago said they had snow on Sunday. I remember my mom telling me she was born in mid-June 1919 and that was the year they didn't have summer as snowed the day she was born. Yep... that was during the Spanish Flu pandemic.

As far as the chat went... only 4 of us were there but my computer would only show the one who was talking - while the rest of them could see all 4 of us. Yes... Chris, sometime there was more than one person talking at the same time so the the photos snapped from one to the other... or to the one who was the loudest! LOL... We ended up chatting for almost 2 hours.

Well, I am worn out with all the frustration with getting the printer to work. So I am going to change into PJs, grab a book and a hot drink and read for awhile.
