The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Last day of the 4 day weekend here, and guess what? I finally got to sleep until 6, instead of waking up at 5. That was surprising, until I remembered that it took me forever to actually *get* to sleep. The sleep tracking on the FitBit actually had me sleeping less than the last couple of night. Go figure.

Yesterday was such a nice time at breakfast. Did I tell you about my mom's convo with her sister who told her that she needed to try to be positive and let the little things go, like I tell her all of the time? She really is taking the advice to heart and what a difference in the tone. Normally, she would come into the house like gang-busters, grumbling about the way my dad packed the cooler with food or where he put things. then he would start grumbling about stuff re: her. It made everyone kind of tense.
This time was so different and laid back. :high5: to my mom!!!

She brought so much food that I felt like I was eating non-stop. Her Easter pie was so delish and she brought me more melon and prosciutto which I love. Salmon for dinner. <3

I finally got the album uploaded and ordered so that was nice. I also had coupons for free playing cards and a shopping tote. I thought that I would make them as gifts for Cait (pics of the puppies on playing cards) and the tote for my mom for Mother's Day. The shipping was insane! The playing cards was $8.99 for shipping. For playing cards! One deck! It would have been a cute idea, but not at that cost. I guess that is how they get you. Although the free albums are worth it. I got an 8x8 hardcover and the shipping/tax was a little over $8

In the afternoon I fooled around with the Nik software. I think I might have found a way to get rid of the pet eye. I had a pic of J and her eyes had reflected blue. I was able to get them back brown and didn't get that painted over feel. If I can get better at the Filters, this might be a big help.

Today I have the exciting job of getting ready for food shopping, plus making egg salad and deviled eggs with our Easter eggs. I also want to get some time scrapping in, plus I have to catch up on some CT work.

Hope that your day is as awesome as you are!!!

Morning Chris! Sounds like you had a wonderful day. Dang, you're lucky with the four-day weekend ... not so here. Back to work for me, jet-lag 'n' all. Feel like I need match sticks to hold up my eyelids. Lots of caffeine on my plan for today, I think. Picked up a little sniffy/coughy thing ... not sure if that's jetlag or coming back to cherry blossom trees in full bloom. Oh, yay for allergies. Not!

Well, better get to it - got a lot to get accomplished in the next couple of days - including giving my associate a huge hug. Talk about trial by fire! LOL She rocked!

Hi Nancy- how was your dinner and hockey? Good to hear that the yard is better for Luther, no more dead mice and brushes? LOL
Thank you for thinking of Scott, I appreciate it.

Rae- I hope that Bailey enjoys learning AJ. I have found it therapeutic. Some of my most heartfelt LOs are ones where a started with a quote or song lyric and then let it all out.
This is one of my all time favorite pages, it describes how Lyme makes me feel. It is titled A Day in the Life with Lyme

I only used PSE a loooong time ago version 4, maybe, but hopefully she will be able to use it enough to find out if she likes it, and goes from there. I follow Digital Scrap Freebies (IIRC) on Pinterest, mostly for templates, but I know that there are a lot of kits and element packs too.

mmm, scalloped potatoes... drool....

Kat is back! Yes we did miss you! Probably not as much as your Haddie. Dogs and their unconditional love!!! :pupkiss: The best!
Hope that you recover from the jet lag quickly.

*raises both hands and waves them wildly for Trudy to come to my house and help me with my table!!!*

Trudy- of course I would have wine for you!! :D
Hope that you had a fab visit with your brother, and that they ooohhed and ahhhed over your table and hutch as well as all of the food.

Hi Kat! Yeah, 4 day weekend from school. Cait was off for Good Friday and b/c they only used 1 of their 7 snow days they got today off as well. Of course that doesn't mean that *mom* gets a break. Bwuahahah!! But hey, I will take what i can get!
Sending caffeine your way~~~~~~
Do you have a Walgreens near you? Gary got me these coffee bite chocolates for Christmas. (Yes, he did all of his Christmas shopping at our local walgreens LOL)
They are called Morning Rush Coffee Bites and they are a piece of choc with coffee mixed in. I found them to give me a boost when I am unable to drink coffee due to lack of pee-opportunity, for lack of a better word.

Awesome news about your associate!!!

good morning! It is damp, chilly and rainy, my least favorite weather! But both my DH and I got out and walked Luther. My DH came back in a weird mood only to find out that Luther got off his leash so he was chasing him through the woods for a while. Felt bad for my DH as he was really worried that he would not get him back. I guess we need to work harder on the come and stay commands and really make sure he does them without his leash on. My Devils lost and lost it in the first period when they forgot how to play. For me only two home games left tomorrow and then next Tuesday. My DIL is on break this week from school so we may take a quick trip.

Chris so glad that you had such a great time with your parents. It is amazing how sisters can help each other out! Glad you mom is taking her advice. My town has the whole week off from school. Do you get a spring break later then?

Kat welcome back. Jet lag is just the pits. Good luck with eyes open. And wow congrats on the great hire of your new associate! Also awesome when that works out!

Rae how nice to give Bailey PSE. I think she will love it. AJ was always hard for me. But it can be so therapeutic.

Trudy I will have the wine if or when you decide to visit NJ.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I can't believe its the last day off, it went by so quickly. Found out yesterday that Bailey's laptop dvd player isn't working so we decided to give her our old PC. We'll bring it to the tech next wkend and let him clean it out and maybe upgrade it a bit. Then I can put on CS5 for her. That'll be much easier for me to teach her on. Thx Chris for sharing your page about Lyme disease and I'll look up Digital Scrap Freebies on Pinterest. She's been looking at youtube and getting excited about the possibilities. I'm going to set her up with Flickr to store her pages at.

Nancy - glad Luther didn't get too far. I agree, working on off leash recall is important.

Kat - too bad you had to work today. Bet you'll sleep like a baby tonight, you'll be exhausted.

I'm going to enjoy my quiet afternoon and watch some shows on my laptop while I edit some photos from the last week. I want to do the Anna challenge today too. Haven't done one for awhile.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Rae, I hope so! This afternoon I've been sitting in my office with the heater going, shaking like a leaf with goosebumps all up and down my entire body. Not sure if this is jetlag on steroids, or if I'd picked up a cold along the way (highly possible with airlines recirculating the air, etc.). Actually looking forward to the drive home, where I can blast the heat on me in the car! LOL
