The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
If you noticed I am slightly late, it because we have no school today. But all of the stuff that I pushed off over the weekend I have to get done today. Stripping beds, mopping, food shopping list and I have to finish my taxes. Expect the faery to be cranky to today. :croc:

Another 70* day too.....Loving it!

Me Me Monday:
Not sure what I am going to do for me today, although just about anything is better than what I did in my dream last night. I put on a facial mask, forgot about it, and then went food shopping with a green face

Have a fabulous day!!!

Phyllis-- how cool is that!!!??? Really neat!!
That cheese doesn't sound too appetizing. What would you use it for? And how is that non-headache? If it doesn't go away, does it end up in a full blown migraine?

Stef- jeez.... I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to take care of daily living not being able to use your arm. How did you learn not to use it? I mean, -- reflexively, it must be so difficult. Do you have to keep it in a sling?
On a happier note- I love home made bread too, and just recently pulled out my bread machine a few times. Yum.
Lyme has been connected to JRA, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, Autism, MS, Lou Gehrig's Disease, so much its crazy.
Hope the baby is feeling better. I can't imagine going through all of that as a baby or as a mommy :(

Hi Laurie!!

Phyllis- yeah- Lyme is connected to fibro too. Tracing back Gary's disease history, it is most likely that he contracted it when he was 7-8 years old. He was always sick as a kid/teen with weird flus that no one else got. Then diabetes at 13 (autoimmune disease, probably triggered by Lyme). Everyone always though he was lazy or making it up too. And if I had a dollar for every doctor who looked at *me* like I had Munchhausen's by Proxy, trying to help my kids.... I'd be able to pay for there darn drs appts better LOL

Even now, knowing what I know and living through it all myself, I sometimes have a hard time believing Caitlyn when she complains.

I took a ton of pictures yesterday out on the trail. If you want to see, you can check out my Flickr stream

ETA: I was working on figuring out Manual Mode and DOF, in case you are wondering why I took a photo of a branch :D

morning Chris, foggy here, warm later, maybe storms so my dog has to stay in. I also will be inside most the day- but hope to have enough energy to weed when I get home, then study for CPR recert tomorrow. Several early work days this week. Thursday I get to stay home because my bday present is arriving- my bday is in July- MMG bought me a new lawn mower- John Deere even! He couldn't get the old one (10 years this July- it was my bday gift then) started and our lawns need mowing already! Off to work.

Laurie, can't believe your yard needs mowing already! does this good weather mean we're going to be mowing lawns for 6 months instead of 4??

Chris, the "cheese" really isn't. to me it always was just cold scrambled eggs squashed together. i never could figure out a way to eat it that would MAKE it taste good. maybe slice it, fry it up, serve with bacon. but if you're going to do THAT, why not just scramble an egg instead of going through all the preparation it takes to get scrambled eggs into a ball??

the light spot migraine thing never turns into a full-blown migraine. i got lucky! it's the weirdest thing (and apparently, according to my opthalmologist, VERY common.) all of a sudden i realize that i have a bright spot in my field of vision where i can't see parts of what i'm looking at. then my sinus on one side gets stuffy. then i see wiggly lines. then about ten minutes later it goes away. easy-peasy.

going for the yearly "stick the wand where the sun don't shine" sonogram. generally just a yawner. but my usual technician is out indefinitely, and she's the only person who can actually FIND my random ovary. the last time i had a different tech, i felt like the Russian Army had marched around in there. big OUCHIE! so. not looking forward to being poked.

hahaaaa!!!! is this TMI???

Happy Monday!

Morning ladies... I'm baaackkk!! I have missed everyone so much! I love my grand kids but oh my I am exhausted!! :faint: Being sick most of the time we were there did not help matters at all. Lots of tears and hugs and kisses when we left yesterday :hurt: But my babies were very glad to have their parents back home with them. We kept as busy as we could between bouts of illness, went to the zoo, the children's museum , the playground several times and the science center for kids. We all would crash at the end of the day. A few temper tantrums from the 3 yr old boy, but nothing too drastic. I miss them already!! Now back to reality and to work today ugh!! I am so behind here at the "O" I don't know where to begin, but with a day off tomorrow I should make some headway and get back to normal.

Chris - A busy day for you today, hope you get all your own housecleaning done! Remember the new boots I bought for my trip to Winnipeg? Well I wore them once and then it turned to summer!!! When we left yesterday it was 26 degrees Celsius, which converts to 79 Fahrenheit. I didn't pack any summer clothes!!! Back to the Wet coast and normal weather.

Laurie - We must have had storms here while we were away, lots of branches all over the yard, power must have gone out too. Do you think you could bring your new b-day gift here and clean up my back yard?? Hope your day goes well!!

Phylis - LOL maybe TMI?? but always good for a laugh! I sure hope this yard stick where the sun don't shine doesn't hurt too much for ya!!

Well better get my butt in gear and get to work :pout: I would rather be here for the day!!

Trudy, sounds like a sad parting from the grandpeople. i still am so impressed with you taking that job on! my two Grandmen and their parents are coming here in a few weeks for about 5 days, and i'm a bit apprehensive as to how it will go. and i won't even be in charge! but glad you're back. missed ya!

Hi all

It's yardwork yardwork all around, and Phylis you scare me thinking about how long it COULD be. We get our grass cut, not that there's much of it, but it's easier than an argument about does it need it or not. I asked Dick three times to call Hector...today when I cam home from carting my daughter's crapola from one place to her current place, he had the power washer out - and apart - apparently not working.

When he came back downstairs, I asked - Did you call Hector? Oh do you think I need to call? Won't he just start? grrrrrrr Yes, you need to tell him it's time to start. sigh
Yes, I should be the one in charge of this service because I'm the one who knows what it needs as opposed to what he thinks it needs. And the frickin' irritant is that it isn't the money!! It's his garden ignorance of leaving the weekd to grow three or 4 inches high and start seeding their little hearts out. Done bitching...I think.

I get those visual migraines and the first one had me thinking I had a torn retina but w/o any pain. This link shows what it sort of looks like. Mine are brilliant white dots that start and then complete that circle in less than 5 minutes if I let it go. It always starts with a cloudy spot in the center of my vision and once I clean my glasses, it's about time for the light to start! As soon as I realize it's happening, I stop, sit with my eyes closed and just relax. btw, it's seen with both eyes and boy is it hard to describe! No pain, just unclear vision in the center of that circle of light. Really weird.

Trudy, that visit must have been really trying...wanting to enjoy the chicks and then having the sickness on top of it. I truly know I don't have the energy for that any more. 2 or 3 hrs with our 5 yr old Lotus drains our energy levels, and she's really smart and well behaved! god bless the grandparents who end up raising their grandchicks.

Well I'm about ready to put my feet up and watch some tv. I took my daughter's crapola from the place she was staying to the place she is staying. Complaints from her about this and that and I was ready to go as soon as I unloaded the car of about 8 garbage bags of who knows what. She did mutter a "Thanks" when all the bags were in the hallway of the apt. I told her to call me if she needed this done, and she called so I kept my part of the bargain. Finito.

ciao!

Maureen. perfect description. it is the WEIRDEST thing! my lines are wiggly, like microscopic pond scum moving around under a microscope. the both eye thing IS so odd. that's how the opthalmologist explained to me that it wasn't a detached retina. she said "close one eye, then close the other. you see it in BOTH eyes, right?" i just feel so lucky that THIS is the kind of migraine i get. i feel so awful for people who have to deal with all the visual stuff, the smell stuff, the nausea, the pain.

your grass cutting could be worse. we have 2+ acreas of grass and weeds! (mostly weeds....)
