Daily Ooo's: Monday, June 5

Have you ever woken up and felt sooo thankful that it was Sunday only to realize that it was actually Monday? I know you all have. :( What a crummy feeling and it was only made worse by realizing that instead of a warm, sunny June morning, it feels like chilly, wet April -again. *head desk* It is Groundhog's Day and it is making me so miserable.

I never made it out in the yard yesterday since it clouded over completely by 9 am and started raining a little while after. Sweatshirts, blankets, fuzzy slippers- all part of the day's clothing and more of the same today, bugger.

I had some free time in the afternoon to scrap so I was happy to make a page for our new guest designers, ViVa Artistry. They have a gorgeous shop here, you all have to check it out.

Today is going to be filled with two of my favorite things, prepping for food shopping and banking. The "banking" is ironic because it assumes that I have money in a bank. I should also pull everything out of my cabinets and refrigerator to see what staples/ingredients I have to make dinners with. I made a Barilla Pronto mac and cheese recipe last night. I have several boxes of the Pronto pasta (you cook it in one pan) from FP and one time I cooked it with a jar of sauce and it wasn't all that good. I tried one of the recipes on the Barilla website and it was quick and easy. Not as good as my regular baked macaroni, but will be perfect for a night in a pinch.

A long time ago, we would have certain "discussions" on each day of the Ooo's, such as Me Me Monday, Tips on Tuesday. If I can remember I am going to do this again.

So today is Me Me Monday. What are you going to do today that is just for yourself? I think that I am going to make an effort to play with the dogs. That helps lower stress levels and I am thinking, perhaps, that would be a good thing! LOL

Nancy- Sounds like a very exciting hockey game. Very sad about London. :( However, I admire the Brits with their senses of humor, some of the commentaries of how they are #reeling were very funny and I loved the picture of the guy jogging down the street with his pint in hand. I wish none of this was happening but that photo does more to help them than 1000 photos of hysteria, which is what the terrorists want to see.
Your Blue Apron pages are delish!
I hope that whatever is going on with Luther is easily fixed.
The kids (kids?! Not kids anymore  ) had fun and were talking about another trip. I said to them that they should plan a trip to Knoeble's where we would go when they were little. It is a campground attached to an amusement park. Scott and Cait have been looking at prices and dates and they think they are going to go in Aug. with Brendan, Leah, and another couple. They should have a blast.

Rae- that sounds miserable, I bet you wanted to be back in your own bed. But at least you got some stuff done and some time to rest. Oh boy. I hope that Bailey and the BF situation works out ok.

Sharon- I am so sorry to hear that your back is so bad again/still. I totally get living in pain all of the time and I don't wish that on anyone. Hang in there!

Hahaha!! Rae, that is totally something that I would do at the store! Hope that the brain fog clears up but hey- at leats you got some good deals anyway :)

good morning! Yesterday was really good. My DH and I took Luther to the park before the clouds and rain came. But luckily the rain held out all day. I got him out for another walk in the afternoon while my DH mowed the back lawn. Looks good. The neighbor boy who is doing the front ran out of gas. LOL. We did some cleaning. Then we decided for dinner to go the our local Greekfest for a great Greek dinner. We went during the last hour it was open so we got our meals at half price and they were selling the leftovers at really discount prices so we got a whole tray of spanakopitas and several half chickens for grilling this summer. My son and DH took some of the spanakopitas but left me a lot for lunch. Got a lot of scrapping done on my Blue Apron meals. I love that I can write on my photos on my iPad and that then shows up on my phone so I can upload to Instagram and then on my computer so that I can scrap them. It is so much fun to write on my photos. I love that my son showed me how to do that. It is really fun. I was going to use my own handwriting but it is terrible so I used a handwriting font. So for me Monday I plan on watching hockey and scrapping.

Chris I cannot believe we are going to only be in the 60s early this week. It is crazy! I too an really tired of still having to wear jackets. And I want the sun! Hope you can get outside and play with puppies!

Rae glad you are feeling somewhat better. Funny about the brain fog! But it is one of the few good things about aging - the senior discounts. It is great for me when taking the train I get a huge discount. Glad you got your internet working and yard cleaned!

Sharon so sorry about the back. It is no fun being in pain.

Have a great day all!

Hi everyone...I am still dealing with the middle back pain even after the anti inflamatory shots. I don't know what it is. Oh well. Haven't taken the dogs out because it has been threatening rain and rains almost every day at some time. Crazy.

Nancy hope you enjoy Hockey. The only thing in Hockey I keep up with is Singer Carrie Underwood's DH that plays for the Nashville Predators. lol

Have a good "me" day Chris!!

Morning ladies... I was not here much at all yesterday, as usual DH had lots of outdoor jobs for me to help with and it was good to unplug and just enjoy the day together! This morning I am gathering up my paints and heading to my sisters (the one with the B&B) she has asked me to touch up all the stones of the cats that are buried on her property, kind of creepy I know but really they are all so cute and it shouldn't take me too long to get them looking new again. Yesterday was our youngest grandson's 4th birthday, he had a wonderful party and a lot of fun with the kids in the bouncy castle. Heather did FaceTime with DH and myself later and we watched him open his gifts from us. So cute, he said that his birthday was over now and he got everything that he wanted! I think he was tuckered out from all the fun and play. DD sent me some photos, so I will have to try to get a page done.

Chris - Sorry that your Sunday feeling was spoiled with the realization that it is actually Monday!! Bummer!! Sounds like the kids (not kids anymore) will have a great time going camping, its always a wonderful time especially if the weather is good. (will keep my fingers crossed for them). I saw your page that did with ViVa Artistry, so awesome!! Yes they have some pretty cool items in their shop! Hope that you manage some time to play with your fur babies, always a good de-stresser!

Nancy - I have to see your Blue apron pages, so much to catch up on, you are such a busy scrapper! A nice bargain for your Greek meals, hope that food was delish!! How cool that you can write on your photos on your iPad, I had no idea you could that! So fun to find out new things. Hope you and Luther are enjoying the day despite the cool weather!

Sharon - Ouch on the back pain, I feel for you!! No fun having pain while trying to deal with everything else!

Rae - Glad you got home safely, although a but fuzzy headed!! That sounds exactly like something that I would do! Glad that you got all the points and good deals though, so totally worth the extra trip home and back to store! I sure hope that you are feeling a bit better today!

I received a txt from my son this morning, he is in Tokyo getting ready to board the plane back to Ottawa. He is very thankful that he will be in business class, so very jet lagged and needing some good sleep. Oh to be a world traveller LOL. One more big trip for him next week I think and then he will be finally done with all the traveling for while. Pretty nice gig to see the world on the taxpayers dime, he is one lucky man!! Not much fun and games for him though, he has been working very hard while on these trips. I miss him  Ok I better get my paints and brushes gathered up and head out the door soon. Hope you all have a wonderful Monday

Good morning, ladies. I woke up feeling slightly better. I sure hope I am turning the corner on this virus. I have lots to do and don't have time to be bogged down with sickness. Ha...I bet everyone says that LOL. I am not a good sickie...I get frustrated after the first day or two and hate being slowed down. I'll pop in to see the doctor today or tomorrow to see about getting an inhaler just to be sure the chest congestion clears up but I do definitely feel better so that is good.

Trudy - hope you get out in the sunshine today!

I'm getting to work, ladies. Have a great day.

Jen borrowed our truck yesterday and got Bailey moved into the BF's. I'm so happy she will be five minutes away. Now we'll get to see each other a lot. I feel bad that we couldn't help but at least they got to use our truck so in a small way we helped.

Today I need to sanitize the house a bit. Get the lysol wipes out and clean the germs away and do some dusting. I'm not the most fastidious cleaner at the best of times (although I don't like clutter) but when sick I don't do any housework pretty much so after these last few weeks, the dust has piled up. I have a busy couple of days with work piled up as I cover for the other girl who is away but she's back Wed and my main boss is away Thurs/Fri so while he will probably send some backlog stuff for me to do it won't be a really busy couple of days. I am looking forward to that. I must be feeling better b/c I am really wanting to scrap a page today. That's a good sign :)

Chris - that sounds like such a fun trip for the kids. I've never found anything like that on our travels. We all would have loved that.

Sharon - sending healing prayers for your back.

Nancy - what a great score on the food! I got a great deal yesterday on BOGO chicken. I think we're stocked up for the next 6 mths or so. Gotta love that!

Good morning, Trudy - we're cross posting again. Looks a nice day to be outdoors, getting the stones painted. You son lives such an interesting life, with the travelling. How fun to watch the gift opening on facetime and you got some photos to scrap.

Ok, off I go to work.
