Thank you all for the sweet b-day wishes. It was pretty much just another day here but Friday night (?) --nope-- Saturday night, the four of us are going to get dinner together.

I was happy to get out in the yard, everything was so overgrown, I have vinca vine that has exploded this year. Gary mowed the "lawn" earlier in the morning so it was easier to see where the edges of the lawn/woods were. LOL Soooo many teeny toads, the size of my thumbnail. All different shades of grey and brown. Man, they can hop too.

My parents were going to come up today to get out of the house and visit for an hour or so. My mom called yesterday to say something about the rain and her knee hurt and I dunno.... she is mentally all over the place. They might come up on Thursday instead. *shrugs*
I will be catching up on some of the housework that I had to ignore while my back was out last week and then I plan on scrapping a bit.

Have a wonderful day!

@tanteva Good luck with the WW! For me, sometimes all it takes is being more aware of how much I eat when I'm not hungry. I know that you are going to do well, you haver done it before so you know that you *can*
Hope that you are able to stay cool!

@BrightEyes how is the BP running today? Any better? Do you think that is related to whatever was working on you last week with feeling cold and tired?

@LSlycord OMG!! The canvases are gorgeous!! What incredible photos and they must make you smile so much every time you see them <3

@bcgal00 I hope that your family had a wonderful time hiking with the dogs. The pool at the end of the day sounds perfect!

@Cherylndesigns The rooms are so dang pretty!! I am hating my house ATM (more than just this moment, but it's extra at this point) and would love to redecorate. :(
How nice to have found the Paris photo - that is a steal :)

Rae- that is the *cutest* b-day video ever!!!!! <3 TY!!!!
And thanks to you too Cheryl, but yes, let's not upset the O BirthdayFairy! :)

Good morning ladies! How did we get back to Monday again? This is going to be a crazy week here. I am backfilling for someone at work who will be on vacation so two jobs instead of one. Oh goodie! But, next week I only work two days so I can push through this week.

We have a mockingbird that has taken up residence behind our house in the preserve and boy is he noisy! He comes over to the fence and I feel like he is talking to me! LOL

Thanks @faerywings. I think that the pictures turned out well. They make me smile.

And, goodness, I am behind on putting my layouts in the Cheery-O tracking thread and I have done a bunch this month. Eighteen I think. Not much by the standards of some of you ladies, but for me it is crazy!

Morning, all. I had a long sleep last night... fell asleep at 9PM and didn't wake up until 7AM. Yesterday we had rain on and off most of the day... and most of last night, too... judging from the rain in candle holder cups on the patio table. They are all full and over-flowing. The cold front that was suppose to get her on Tuesday came in earlier that predicted. So temps have been on the cool side since yesterday. 71* was the high then and won't get much higher today either. Yes, most of the state is getting rain off and on. That is helping with the fires... but there has been some flooding in the burn scar areas. We should have a couple of days without rain (Tues - Wed) then back to more rain the rest of the week. So glad I got the plants in the pots when I did.

Took my BP after lunch yesterday and it was 142/89 so took my PB meds. It was back down to 114/72 in the evening and was 120/72 this morning before taking my meds. Those are in the normal range for me when on my BP meds, thank goodness. I will continue to take the meds and monitor them. Not sure what caused the low pressure but it might have been related to my feeling bad last week. Who knows?? #dk

@faerywings Enjoy your dinner out. You deserve it. Sounds like your back is slowly improving and you didn't hurt it by cleaning your friend's house. I have been letting my housework slide... just changing sheets/towels and washing them. Since it is only me here, there isn't much to be done. I did put the 'new' DVDs away but left them in a stack on the shelf to remind me which ones I haven't watch. I have 4 stacks of unwatched ones now! I can just see you out in the yard on hands and knees talking to all the little toads. Glad you are getting some 'yard time' as I know how much you love being out there.

@LSlycord WOW... doing double time!!! Hope you are getting paid extra for that. Sounds like you will be getting a break next week. BTW, I love how those photos look on the wall. Wonderful memories of your Paris trip!

@Cherylndesigns Thanks for letting me know about the 'small house' you stayed in while yours was being built. I remember you talking about it now. It is cute.... but really small. Thanks for the pics.

@bcgal00 That is the cutest video! Sounds like you all are settling in and loving the area. I always get a kick out seeing those fabulous wildlife photos on FB. You are so talented with the camera.

Time for another cup of coffee and see about getting the new LO uploaded. CYL

Happy Monday Morning ladies!! It's going to be another warm day here! The weekend flew by as DH and I were very busy around here. The front porch steps got stained the yards are all weed free and looking great! The trim on the house got started, but its just to hot to continue. That will have to wait until next weekend when the temps are a bit cooler. Yesterday I cleaned all of the glass panels on the decks and wouldn't you know it this morning some huge bird decided to leave his calling card all over one of the panels. grrrrr!!! Guess I know what I am doing this morning. LOL. DH and I were totally exhausted by the time dinner was over with on Sunday night. He BBQ'd us some baby back ribs and I made a Caesar salad, it was very good!! Then we sat on the front porch with a glass of wine and the fire pot going watched the amazing sunset and promptly fell asleep LOL. It was about a half hour later when I dragged my butt off to the kitchen to make his lunch for work. (He will be eating at work all this week). We watched a bit of tv and then hit the bed and slept right through the night. All the sunshine and fresh air really did us in!! It will be a quiet week hopefully and I do plan on getting some pages done this week! Wish I had everyone else's motivation, so many beautiful layouts in the gallery! Not sure how much I will be hearing from Heather from now on as she starts a new job today, working from home and is training all this week. We will see how it goes for her, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that it all works out! Bad timing though as today is the last day the kids will be in school, then she will have to juggle having them at home and trying to work too. #crazy , it will be challenging to say the least!

@faerywings - Sure hope you had a nice dinner with your family for your birthday! Hope your Mom and Dad are both doing well and recouping from their surgeries! It will be good for you to see them, no matter which day it is. Glad you got to spend some time out in the yard, it was nice for me too. Pulling weeds is not my fav thing to do, but it sure looks so much better now! My roses are gorgeous this year! I need to get out and cut some to bring into the house.

@LSlycord - I just love your new photos hanging on your wall! Your family is so beautiful! It must be such a joy to look at those pictures everyday! Your work day will be so busy this week! I know you will manage it just fine! Then a nice short week after that Hooray!! You have done 18 layouts this month??? Boy you sure are making me look bad LOL. I think I have only done 4 (shame on me!!). Hope the mockingbird doesn't drive you crazy, we have some pretty noisy birds around here too and one big bully of a hummingbird that gives us a bad time when we are sitting on the front porch. He chirps and chirps away at us the whole time we are out there LOL. You think he would know that I am the one giving him all the nectar in his feeder.

@BrightEyes - How nice to have the rain to wash away all of the dust and dryness of the past few months, it must feel good to have the fresh air in your house! My goodness what is going on with your BP? Glad to hear that it is back to normal levels for you, but it must have been quite concerning!! Hope you have a lovely day today!

@Cherylndesigns - I forgot that you lived in the small house on your property while the new one was being built! It is so cute, but ya I don't think I could live in a house with only one bathroom either LOL. Aren't we spoiled!! Your property is just stunning!

@bcgal00 - That birthday video is so darn cute!! Love it! I saw on facebook that you did a big walk around the lake! Good for you!! What a wonderful way to end the day by hopping into the hot tub to soak your tired muscles! You will soon be a hiking pro with all those long photo walks! Hope the dogs found a good spot to get into the water! Hope it wasn't too darn hot for them and you! We were 32C. yesterday but the humidity was high so it felt even higher. Nice that you are in a dryer climate, I am not a fan of humidity!

Ok I need more coffee and then I am getting my photoshop opened and starting to work on a page!

I'm guessing the heat. At least it says on my BP meds, not to take them when dihydrated. Good it's back to normal!

Good morning ladies. I am a bit stiff today but I think hopping into the hot tub last night after dinner really helped to loosen up the muscles. I did a 4.5 hour hike around a lake with Jen and the dogs yesterday. At one point, Jen hopped into the lake off the boardwalk to try to get Remi who decided to dive off it into the water. Remi has never swam before and was panicked. Jen was trying to hold onto her, not realizing that dogs will automatically dog paddle, they won't drown (in a short time). So poor Jen ended up with claw marks and bruises on her legs and arms as she tried to hold and swim with a panicked Remi. Finally Jen heard my shout and let go of Remi who proceeded to swim all around, looking for a way back up. I ended up having to hook one arm around a wooden pole and leaning half into the water to grab Remi's halter and had to pull her up with one arm, up out of the water and onto the deck. Thank god my arms are much stronger now from holding such heavy camera lenses. I didn't pull any muscles, I was able to carry on and finish the next 2 km of the hike and today I am a bit stiff and sore not but anything too bad. Remi carried on and kept going into the water with Jen in different spots along the hike and she still won't intentionally swim but to chase a stick she would swim for a minute to get it. What a fun day.

We got home just before dinner and had a simple dinner and into the hot tub for a bit before watching the previous season finale of Westworld and then new one. We all love that show.

Today I'll scrap a bit and by afternoon will be in the pool, then sitting on the deck with a book in between cooling off in the pool.

@faerywings Enjoy the visit with your mom (if she decides to come). I took hope to get a bit of scrapping done.

@BrightEyes So glad to hear that your BP is stabilized now.

@taxed4ever Sounds like a busy wkend for you. I'm always cleaning off our deck too, the birds like to sit on the railing and I'm out there once or twice a day washing it down from their mess.

I'm getting a coffee, getting my bathing suit on and will be ready for pool time in a bit :)

Good afternoon all.

I slept later today - I guess I needed it. I've been a scrapping ninja this month. LOL Linda @LSlycord I think we're running about neck in neck. I've posted 20, so far. I'm "holding" 3 more for this month and 2 already for July.

Chris @faerywings I'm glad you had a nice birthday - sounds like the fun was on Friday night - especially since you're having a repeat. LOL 2.0 Glad you liked my before and after pics. We found those white, shears at Big Lots for CHEAP. That was what made the biggest difference. When I walked in to that dark place, I said "we must do white". White, white, white. Taking down those dark blue curtains was like magic. That big wall hanging was one of Ava's that she didn't use anymore, so we DID recycle a lot of the stuff we used. She's a major bargain hunter, too. I can't remember what our budget was - I'm thinking it was $500, but it might have been less - we had to really spruce up the one bathroom, too. It IS an income property, so we had to make it look great to post it on Air BNB. She got hits immediately. (We also bought a coffee pot, mugs, and lot of "necessities" for the kitchen. It was bare. We even made a "coffee station". It was a lot of fun.

Good luck with your parents - sounds like your mom IS all over the place.

Trudy @taxed4ever I hope you don't have to go too long w/o hearing from Heather and the boys. Sounds like she's going to have her hands full, though. It's better to work from home, though - they'll all find their rhythm but it might take awhile. I remember when Steph started working from home - it was a learning curve, but we were also there for backup, so I'm not sure if she'd have had it so easy.

I know it's not funny, but I chuckled over the bird "leaving it's calling card". LOL Danged birds, anyway. I always love it when they do that on my windshield. UGH

Rae @bcgal00 I LOVED your pictures on FB - what a wonderful hike you and the dogs had and 4.5 miles!! You go, girl! What a beautiful area you live in.

I knew that some of you would remember that we lived in that little brick house that Kay @BrightEyes saw in one of my pictures. Yes, the one bathroom was the biggest inconvenience. I guess I AM spoiled, but that was the thing I said, years ago, was non-negotiable. I grew up with 6 people fighting over one bathroom and that's not something that I chose not to continue. It scarred me for life - not really, but it wasn't pleasant. We NEVER had more than one bathroom in ANY house we ever lived in. It was a "revolving door", no matter what anybody else was doing in there. My parents NEVER had more than one bathroom - that was a lot of fun when the whole family was there. They put an addition on their house and she REFUSED to put in a second bathroom. #angry2 They wondered why nobody ever wanted to stay with them when we were all in town

Kay @BrightEyes hope you're getting your BP back in check. Hey, please send some of that cold front over the state line, would you???

I need to get off of here and go check the rest of the boards. Have a good Monday.
