Happy Junnnneee! And happy Monday to you, too. Did you have a great weekend?

The weather was totally uncooperative and blah, which matched my mood. Hehe. I don't think I did much of anything either day. One thing about puttering around the house is that I feel like I have wasted so much time and nothing looks different. Sure, I did all of the dishes and cleaned off the kitchen island. Planned out meals for the week. Talked with family and friends- even made it out for a short walk with my friend. But I don't have any sense of accomplishment and that feels wholly unacceptable. LOL You'd think I'd be happy to relax but I am not sure I know what that word means, let alone how to do it. :giggle4:

At least the weather will be more like June this week-- going from 50s to 80s. We had to put the heat on again yesterday, it was so damp and chilly inside. It's bonkers!

Wishing all of you a wonderful Monday!
:hug4:

@BoatLady thanks for the squirrel feeder link!
It sounds like you have trouble just relaxing too, helping bring the rental boats in. That's so sweet that you took the camp owners out for their anniversary. Good luck to DD with the offer on the house :praying2:
I hear you about the aches and pain. I keep telling my coworkers to take care of their bodies now, 'cause all of the damage you did when you were young catches up with you.

@AK_Tracy How did you do on the couch? Were you able to sit just the right amount? I feel for you about being bored, that is when my brain gets "itchy" if you know what I mean and it sounds like you do.
Animal drama is the *best.* Squirrels are hysterical. We watched one get spooked when we opened the window to scare it away from the feeder. He went to the edge of the planter box and then pancaked himself on it. Cracked an eye towards us and must have seen us in the window and he dropped his head right back down.

Ummm NO, I see you in photos you post of the wedding and other times. Dont argue with me, I am right. You are beautiful. :heartpumppink:
My gawd! The wedding photo doesn't count!! I was 24 yo!!
(*Lightbulb over my head* Did you mean my wedding photo I posted the other day, or Cait's wedding?)
Either way, thank you, you make me feel very good about myself ♥
ITA with you about other people's pain and it is not a competition. It applies to everyone else but me :D
I do have a high pain tolerance. I refused to believe I was in labor with Scott b/c the contractions didn't hurt. I was 9 cm when I got to the hospital.
I get impatient with myself when I don't bounce back like I think I should. I know I shouldn't but I can't seem to help it.

When is your next surgery scheduled? Are you giving yourself enough time to heal and your body to reset itself before the next one?
Women, we are told by society to do it all and never stop. (We listen so well) So we think we cant rest. If we did, and could mentally stop worrying, we would be unstoppable. I always wonder if men had c-sections, would they be expected to be up immediately and care for a baby and the family and do it all? Or would it be more of a rest and recover from major surgery. Yep, woman are a force to be reckoned with and if we rested and healed.........we would take over the world :giggle4:
Yes. 100000000000%, yes.

I feel confident that I'll be ready for my first artisan market this coming wkend. Last night I put biz tags together and started bagging the products, labeling for each stand to put them on. So far, things are going smoothly.
This is awesome to hear! You got this!! DOnt; forget to take pictures of your table so you know how to set it up for the next one
Sorry that you didn't win any money at the tournament but I'm sure you had a blast!
I am jealous of the food boxes you are getting, :p
Will you be able to get any pictures of the baby birds? *fingers crossed*

New bird at my feeder this weekend: grackles. They are soooo strange looking, in a very cool way.

Time to get ready for work. xoxo

The weather is driving me insane! At noon it was like a sunny day in July, and 25 minutes later it was like October! Thunder, heavy rain, dark gray skies, and windy as h*** Now we have sunshine and bird song again.

On Sunday we're going on our first trip for this summer. Back to our beloved Vadstena.
I have no idea how to pack for this trip ... I mean, you can get all four seasons in one day! Also a bit nervous, cuz "our" hotel have been closed for months, renovating & remodelling. I'm scared it turned into a posh place, and it won't feel like home away from home anymore. It's the same owners though, I hope that will be enough to make it feel like home.

I have like zero inspiration for scrapping. Hardly made any layouts in May. If you find my mojo, send it back to me asap.

Been reading a lot though. Found my love for books again, and I think I have a new favorite author. I'm trying to read more classics, and one I've never read before was Charles Dickens. Picked A Tale of Two Cities, and WOW! I'm a little over half way through, and Dickens is pure magic. I'm so happy I have all of his other books to look forward to!

Oh, and you bird lovers will understand my happiness! I think we have a black bird nest in our garden. I've heard him singing in the evenings for a while, but now he's singing in a new tune. Hoping that means he got his lady and they're having babies. I've seen him too, strutting around looking for food. Also, yesterday I heard an unfamiliar bird song. Looked out, and I saw a woodpecker! I do hope he's moved in too. Beautiful little fellow! Wish I had a better camera!

Lovely morning. Stopped at the farm store on our bike ride and picked up local cherries and asparagus. Won’t tell David how much the asparagus cost. They told me they expect to have peaches later in the week; we’ll be back there Thursday so I’m hoping

I have a busy afternoon, with a board meeting in town and book club at the local library. It’s always a day I have to scramble to pick up something quick for dinner as I drive home from the meeting. If I were a better person I would make something now that would be ready in the crock pot when I come home, but I’m not.

The weather man is promising warmer weather this week so I can hope to ditch my jacket for my morning bike rides.

My iPad keeps scolding me that I need to upgrade the IOS but also that I don’t have enough space to do so. Since I keep only apps, no data, on it, that seems weird to me. I will look into whether I can just wipe it and start all over again. There’s an exciting day I can put off for a while.

Good Morning Ladies

Sure, I did all of the dishes and cleaned off the kitchen island. Planned out meals for the week. Talked with family and friends- even made it out for a short walk with my friend. But I don't have any sense of accomplishment and that feels wholly unacceptable.
Ummmm, McFly look at all you did!!! That's a lot.
@AK_Tracy How did you do on the couch? Were you able to sit just the right amount? I feel for you about being bored, that is when my brain gets "itchy" if you know what I mean and it sounds like you do.
Yeah, couch and I became so much of one that I didn't move enough and it was horrible when I had to get up. I also hadn't taken Advil and that was a mistake. I will do better today. Need to get up hourly I think so things dont stiffen up so much. Wasn't a great movement day. but I did get three layouts done. So it was fun.
My gawd! The wedding photo doesn't count!! I was 24 yo!!
(*Lightbulb over my head* Did you mean my wedding photo I posted the other day, or Cait's wedding?)
Silly girl!! You crack me up!!! :giggle4: Yes you were beautiful in your wedding photos at 24 years old but I was referring to the more recent ones of Cait's wedding where you still look beautiful and amazing! :heartpumppink:
When is your next surgery scheduled? Are you giving yourself enough time to heal and your body to reset itself before the next one?
I do have to take time to heal and Doc wont schedule before a certain amount of time. So the next one isn't until November. Just in time for Holidays and Dec. Jury Duty. Cause wont that be fun. Hobble in and say yeah I wanna sit around and do nothing all day while the courts move super slow picking people.

On Sunday we're going on our first trip for this summer. Back to our beloved Vadstena.
Beautiful LO and how fun that you get to go back. I bet the remodel will be a amazing and you'll have so much fun! The weather sounds like ours this past spring too. Goes from one extreme to another and back in the span of 10 minutes. Its crazy.

Not much going on today. So ready to be back to normal. I'm sick of sitting and doing nothing. It is worth all the sitting and when I get going next month moving like normal it will be a forgotten memory of how bad it was to sit. It always amazes me how hard it is to sit and how it can actually be painful to sit. My body needs to move a bit or it hurts. I think that might be the worst, that it hurts to sit, like achey muscles. And I have no mind work to keep me busy. I have my kitchen manager stuff as done as it can at the moment, waiting for higher ups to approve stuff. Its summer so all the homeschool stuff is done and next years already planned out. Feeling whiney and wish it was a glass of wine with @Terri M watching the sunset instead. Off to get more coffee. @BoatLady Hope youre having an amazing day Debby!

Quick note....our friends are in the cottage here so we will be busy.

Yippee Good news from our daughter They accepted the offer for the house--cash and asking price..well duh of course they accepted!!!. they will be closing at the end of the month...

I hope you are all well

I'm in total harmony with all of you whose butt are imprinted with the patterns of your couch. Getting up every hour and walking around the house is my plan, I've only been taking Tylenol since day 4. I don't remember my quad muscle being so sore last time, but I guess when you get stretched with the jaws at 72 , ya just don't spring back like a rubber band. I did get on the indoor bike today for 15 minutes and realized I'm still a ways away from outdoor buking. It got up to 91 degrees today. Haven't been outside much, the backyard has an incline & with cobblestone pavers, it's a little scarier. We've also been under an air quality alert since Friday and it's now extended to Wednesday. We're an orange alert where we are, but a lot of northern Minnesota is in a red alert. Yesterday the sky just looked brownish everything looked like looking thru yellow glasses. It's kinda, sorta blue today but not really. Blue with a brown filter & gaussian blur. I've never understood how people can scrap on tablets & iPads, but I have a WHOLE lotta respect for them. I'm so spoiled by my 27" monitor connected to my laptop. Right now I can't sit in a chair for any period of time so I decided to try scrapping on my windows tablet which is the size of an iPad. Holey, moley, those people rock, cause it took me 5 days. I knew one lady who did gorgeous layouts in Microsoft Word. Well, I better get my butt in the upright position, if I'm gonna wake up that quad. I hope you all had a great day.

Good job getting up and about. That's half the battle. My butt looks like my couch pattern now too. I've been getting up almost hourly and walking back and forth. As long as we keep moving forward it will be all good. Glad youre staying inside since the weather is icky. I dont know what I would do if the air was colored like that. I cant believe you got on your indoor bike for 15 minutes already!!! You rock!!!!!!

Our weather has been pretty good. muggy and hot (high 80's) Friday, DD #1 and I went to an estate sale and shopping small businesses and it was great. Great pool weather and the family came over on Saturday (and my grandson Carson) and we swam in the pool. On Sunday, we went grocery shopping. Today, we went over early to take our grandson to camp. I love the mornings with him. He is so cute! This evening we watched Carson's T ball game ages 4-6 and there are a few 5 year olds. They are hilarius. Carson's cousin (3) plays as well and the two of them are Laurel and Hardy in the field. All in all it was great!
