It is 7.30 am and already warmer than it was at the highest point yesterday. It was freezing here, damp and cold. Today we are going to break 80* yippee. That's beach weather. Now I need to find me a beach LOL

How was your weekend? I still don't feel like I am getting anything done around the house but I seem to spend most of my time in the kitchen. I found a new recipe for vegan black bean burgers and homemade french fries. My usual vegetarian burger recipe is really yummy but uses egg. I tried a vegan recipe a few months ago when Tom was here but they were bland and dry. The third time was a charm, a bit spicy for me but work-around-able. It called for three TBSP of chili garlic sauce and I only put in 2. Gary and Tom were fine with the heat but Caitlyn and I thought they were a little too spicy.
We all watched the Foo Fighters horror movie, Studio 666, campy and fun.
You know that we all joke that Gary looks like Dave Grohl? There were a few scenes that I totally had to tease him about it.

I have to do more puttering about the house. I miss Scott, he has been with friends this weekend after not being home while this was Covid House. He is supposed to be home tonight but probably after I am in bed. What in the world am I gonna do when he moves out? *sobs*

At least I have the party to keep me occupied!

Good morning ladies! This party has kept the gallery hopping and that has been fun! I am definitely adding more scrapping time to my days. Brian is still looking for work...has had a couple of interviews that had potential but nothing turned up. Today I am going to be grateful that both kids are at home with us a little while longer...trying to cultivate an attitude of gratitude rather than an attitude of worry.

Brian and I tried a new little cafe for breakfast yesterday. It was a Parisian bistro and it's only about a 15 minute drive from our house. We then brought back a box of pastries and we ALL enjoyed those. This is a big week at our house...Shaun has an appointment at Mayo. Fingers crossed...because I don't know what we will do next if they can't find something. But we have finally made it to the place that I wanted to be in February...so I'm grateful for that! (See how I did that!)

And our blueberry plant had a very small handful of the sweetest blueberries I have ever tasted. We harvested our first green pepper and the tabasco peppers are starting to turn red. So much excitement at my house!

Have a great day all!

@LSlycord I saw some LOs from the scraplift challenge that made me nostalgic too. TaylorMade -- she was the bomb! Still is, IMO.
That was such a great time. But it is now as well which makes me happy. <3
PS: Love the crown!!!

@tanteva Ugh, central Stockholm would make me anxious. Gary and my BFF both drive fine in NYC, I sit as a passenger holding on to the door handle for dear life. I love to visit the City but could never live there.
(Maybe it was the same kind of decision that I made about not buying any digiscrap supplies this month??? LOL)
hahahaha!!!! IMHO those decisions cancel each other out, you're just going to have to go with it :p

@bcgal00 How is D feeling today? Does it take a whole for the abx to get him back on track or once it has burst is there relief? Not a fun way for either of you to spend the night.
Good luck getting the car fixed up. Not a good week for you guys at all. Sending you big hugs!
I don't even want to say anything about the photos and drive for fear of jinxing you.

@BrightEyes The yucca is big! I don't think I have seen one here, I imagine it isn't suited for my Zone. if the stalks are 12' that is well more than twice my height. *G*
Hope that the weather is better so you can get some fresh air today. That makes sense to buy dessert for tomorrow's lunch. How many "Hats" are you expecting?
Good luck with the knee, bracing and resting it makes sense.

@Cherylndesigns sounds like you are going to have some fab photos to work with, so sweet of Ava to take the kids and smart to switch to the aquarium.

better get my day started! xoxoxo

Quick in and out. The knee is still giving me fits so will be spending time in the recliner today. Still have a few things to get out for the lunch tomorrow so will get those out then back to the recliner for the rest of the day. Sitting with the knee bend when on the computer makes it worse. <<< sigh >>>

Morning lovelies.

I'm up early again - Asher insists on sleeping with me and UGH last night he was restless. I had to keep reclaiming "my space". Haha He is worse when he's overly tired and he definitely was last night. They had a blast yesterday and both of them got necklaces with sharks on them. They're SO cute. I'm getting ready to post some of the pictures from yesterday. I just posted a pocket page with other pictures on it. Lilach has released some new template sets, so I have new pictures. LOL

Chris @faerywings the new recipe you found sounds good. I could probably eat vegan, because I'm a semi-vegetarian already.

Linda @LSlycord sending good vibes to Shaun and all of you - I know you're ready to find out what's going on! Yay for the veggie/fruit! Isn't it SO much fun to harvest your own edibles? I planted green beans and they've sprouted already - I was a little late, but they're shooting right up. Hoping that Brian finds work soon. That little French cafe sounds yummy!

Kay, take care of your knee and good luck with your luncheon.

Hugs to all.

Good Morning ladies!! I was very MIA for the weekend, but that is not unusual right? Another busy weekend and Saturday turned into an all day thing with the In-Laws. OMG who knew it could take so long to install a new microwave?? It was a big vented one and its a good thing that I offered to help, because it was a three person job for sure. My arms are still sore from trying to hold it place with FIL and DH working on it. Oh well it finally got done and so did the weeding. We thought that we would get home in time to do some yard work of our own, but it was almost supper time by the time we dropped off the old microwave to the recycle place and pulled into our garage. Mmmph!! So that meant that all of the cleaning and laundry and yard work had to be done yesterday. Thank goodness I went grocery shopping on Friday or that would have had to be done too. Anyway enough complaining, the house is quiet and clean and there is the odd patch of blue sky out there so it will be a good day! I have a layout to get into the gallery and more to work on along with a ton of commenting to do as the gallery is jammed packed full of goodness!

@faerywings - I am happy that you are having some warmer weather today! but sad that you are missing Scott so much! It will be hard if he decides to move out and go on his own, but I have a feeling he will never be too far away from his Momma!! Your recipe for your vegan burgers sounds good. Must be so hard to feed so many different ways of eating! I tried a veggie burger from Costco once, YUCK!! Sorry I am a meat eater and always will be LOL. I think that you are right your Gary does look like Dave Grohl!! How fun is that!! Hope you feel like you got more accomplished around the house today!

@LSlycord - I do hope that Shaun's appointment at Mayo reveals some answers for him! I will keep my fingers and toes crossed that it does!! Sending him all kinds of good vibes for his visit! Yes I remember TaylorMade too! It was one reason that I wanted to be a part of the O forever! I just loved all of her goodies!! How fun to find the Parisian cafe and to be harvesting some of your home grown plantings! Hope that your DH finds a job that he really loves soon!

@BrightEyes - Sorry to hear that your knee is giving you problems again!! Sure hope it clears up before your Red Hat party! I know you always enjoy those so much!

@Cherylndesigns - When Isaac was young he always wanted to sleep with me too, what wiggle worm he was and such a warm sleeper too LOL. I always had a terrible nights sleep, but he always woke up quite refreshed and ready to have a fun day. LOL. I will have to check out your latest page for sure!

Ok best get another coffee before Heather calls and catches me up on her weekend adventures! Oh BTW they got their central air installed on Friday, hooray!! Hopefully everyone will sleep much better during the hot humid summer! CYL!!

Good morning ladies. I spent most of yesterday cleaning up the computer, moving file around. I ordered a 12 T EHD to put my photos on so hopefully that goes well. I am going to see if I can get lightroom to work today. Took the dogs to the park before dinner yesterday and it was really nice with the hot weather to have a strong breeze, it felt great. Today I'll get some CT work done, house chores and will find my recipe for hamburger gravy so I can make a big batch of ground hamburger/chicken, pour the sauce overtop and mix with lots of veggies and greens. That'll be my dinner for a few days. D has leftover tenderloin for dinner.

I am enjoying looking on the wall at my photos. They are all wildlife so the next batch will be scenery and flowers.

Quiet day today, it's going to rain here today which is good b/c it's a light rain off and on and keeps the heat down which is necessary for a few more days to help with the mountain snow melt which is starting to flood the river. They had to close the downtown park b/c of flooding. If the heat is too high, the melt is too fast, then the flooding gets out of control. Mother nature never rests, does she? It seems to be one thing or another, no forest fires yet but flooding worries.

My kickboard, half noodle and beach coverups came so I'm ready for pool time when the heat hits again.

@faerywings Your original recipe uses eggs, can't you use egg replacement? I've used it and found it work fine.
@Cherylndesigns The necklace for Asher sounds adorable.
@taxed4ever Good for you guys for getting the microwave installed. I know how heavy those mounted units are. It shocked me when I tried to lift ours.

I'm going to hop in the shower and get on with my day, I'll need to get back to the computer and see what's happening.

@bcgal00 - I have been thinking of you and hoping that the flooding is not affecting the area where you live! How nice to have the warm weather, it is still so cool here and grey. Sure hope that the sun comes out for us soon! How fun to have all the new things to enjoy your pool time! Yup my arms are very sore this morning from holding that dam heavy microwave in place LOL. I hope you are enjoying yours!

Good morning all :) from a very wild and stormy New Zealand. It's been crazy here but so far my roof is still on!

The big news is I have finally sold my house. Not a great result so not the freedom from stress I hoped for ...

giphy.gif

BUT the young couple buying it seem really lovely AND at least I don't have to move back into it!

To celebrate I locked in a home exchange (for points) of my apartment for when I am away in September, so then I can use the points for a 'free' holiday around Christmas/New Year. My mission to live free continues ;-)

@bcgal00 Have fun with Lightroom. I put off getting it for ages but now I love it :)

@taxed4ever That microwave install sounds like a nightmare, you'll be glad it's done! (Also another task on the horizon though, am I right?)

@Cherylndesigns Hope you get a better night's sleep ;-)

@BrightEyes Ugh, sorry about the knee. Hope it's feeling a bit better

I deleted a few corrupt files. So far the last bit of reload into lightroom is working. The new drive comes on Thurs and then the duplicate copy of all photos will start. That will be a big peace of mind. I'm comfy today in my sweats and t-shirt. Changed my mind about dinner, now I'm going to make a ham and cheese quiche with salad. I'll save the hamburger/mushroom mix for later in the week. Bought a few new keto cookbooks on the wkend so am going to browse thru those later for ideas.
