GooOd mOrning and a very happy Monday to you all! The weather is finally acting like summer. Like I said yesterday, Gary is already miserable. The heat sucks everything out of him. He ends up having to nap under the ceiling fan every afternoon.
But for me-- it makes me energized!

I was able to go in the backyard yesterday and weed out along where the fire pit is. I also found Scott's spare car key. It was on the table there and he doesn't know how or why it was there. He lost both sets of keys last week. He found the real set but this spare one had been missing and he had no idea where he could have lost it.

Today is going to be somewhat busy for me. I have to take Ray to the vet for a second round of vaccines. Then my mom is coming up and bringing food yum!!! We will run out to lunch and that should be nice to visit and catch up a bit.

Rae- Looks like our weather patterns totally flipped. We are now hot and sunny and you are cold and rainy when last week it was the other way. I am sorry that your yard work got rained out a bit but at least that gave you some time to nap and recuperate.

Sharon- does that mean DD will be living with you is a month? Hope the closing goes smoothly for them.

BTW- thank you all so much for listening to me be sad about VH and understanding. I know it sounds insane to be sad over a butterfly, but you all made me feel a like bit less bonkers. Hugs!

good morning - I was missing yesterday it was fun busy. Morning was spent with my son and DIL as we had a photo ops at the Rock. We had our photo taken in from of the Martin Brodeur retirement banner, the photo will be printed and then sometime over the summer he is going to sign each one. It was so organized. And it was on the ice so we went from upper 80s to 40s and it felt wonderful. LOL. An came home and my DH and mopped the kitchen floor and vacuumed the dining room. Very cool. Then took Luther for his bi-weekly bath. OMgosh he looks and smells so much better. Watched some French Open tennis and Yankees baseball. My DH grilled steaks, with potatoes and veggies. Then I watched hockey. I really don't mind when a team wins, even a team that I don't like if they really win but when the refs do such a poor job and take away a goal that changes the whole game then it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The Predators were much more forgiving (at least in the after game press statements) saying that everyone makes mistakes and it was tough. So now it is over and I can move on to the good things coming up for my Devils. There is a special draft for the new team Vegas Golden Knights so my team will protect 7 players and will lose one from the rest so that will be interesting. Then the draft where the Devils have the first pick. We are going to the Devils party so that should be fun. Then there will be rookie camps where they let us come and see them play. I am looking to the future LOL. But I have baseball and the Tour de France starts July 1. I have been having fun going back and doing my Luther album. It is amazing how far we both have come. Luther had two good walks and the second one he was ready to be back. He would meet his doggie friends and say hi but no playing too hot. We are now enjoying the AC. I also read two books over the weekend. They are the Anna Pigeon books by Nevada Barr about a Ranger at all the different National Parks. Every once in a while I just have to read.

Chris I am enjoying the summer weather. It may be hot but the sun is shining. You are not going to believe this but there is a bear in my town. It is on the far side from me so was not worried to take Luther out. But this is the first time in ages that one has been seen. It caused the school to have delayed opening. The notice said police on the scene. Glad you got out and did some weeding. And no matter how much you weed they come back. So sorry about VH. Do you have milkweed planted I know they love that to eat? And my hair is now short and I love it.

Rae sorry about your cold and rain. But you got to have time to rest and scrap! Hope your weather continues to get better as you feel better!

Sharon enjoy time with DD and family. Nothing better.

Have a great day all!

Chris-enjoy the heat...it sucks the life out of me too!

Heading to the hospital- FIL (97) is having a cardioversion to try to get his heart back into rhythm.

The entire family will be back- DD and her hubby and my other DD. We have a nice upstairs 2 bedrooms and a bath, so hope it works out. With all the different schedules, it will be challenging, but you are so right, family- nothing better!

Morning ladies... I was missing all weekend long, but very busy and enjoying the nice weather! Our golf day was interesting, on our drive to the course it started to rain and by the time we got there it was pouring!! I mean I haven't seen it rain that hard in a long time!! So we sat in the car for about 10 minutes waiting for it to let up, well it didn't :mmph: So we grabbed out umbrellas and decided to head into the clubhouse to find out if they would be cancelling the golfing or not. We met up with the other couple that we were golfing with and sat down for a drink. Well, when it came time for us to get ready for shot gun start the rain had stopped and the sun came out with beautiful blue skies. We found out golf carts and away we went, it ended up being a great day of golf, lots of laughs and a wonderful dinner afterwards. Who would have thought?? My golf game still sucks LOL but it was fun and I am only really stiff and sore in my wrists from gripping the clubs. When we got back home that night we discovered that we did not get one drop of rain at our place :becky: The golf course is only 10 minutes away and on the other side of the lake from us, what crazy weather!! :noidea:
Yesterday I slept in until 8:45  I couldn't believe it when I looked at the clock. All that fresh air must have been exactly what I needed! Then a bit of housework and off I went to pick up my sisters to go for Pam's birthday lunch out at Genoa Bay. We ate on the deck outside overlooking the ocean and it was just beautiful. Lots of chatting and wonderful food all Keto friendly for me LOL. Then we strolled around the Bay for a bit and visited the lovely little gallery that they have out there. Home again and outside to help DH finish up the yard work. Made dinner later on and we both sat out on the front deck and soaked up the sun for a bit. A pretty great weekend!

Chris - I will have to go back and read all about your butterfly story, that is too bad that the heat sucks the life out of your Gary, the humidity does that to me too, not sure how I am going to survive at Heather's if it gets really warm and humid. Glad that it is making you happy though, so great that you are able to get out and get your weeding done. Dam weeds they never have any trouble growing do they? How funny that Scotts spare keys were out on the table? Perhaps a crow picked them up, they love all things shiny! Or your ghost has been up to his old tricks again. :becky: Good luck with your trip to the Vet and how nice that your mother is bringing you food today!!

Nancy - I was very disappointed with the game last night! It's like watching the amazing race on tv. The winner can be decided by who has the best taxi driver, but in this case its the ref's and they have been horrible all year!! Well time to move on I guess and hope that the new season will bring luck to both of our teams!! LOL Your DH was so kind to do all that cleaning for you yesterday! I bet Luther looks very handsome with his clean coat! Really they call out the police for a Bear?? Are there no conservation people? I hope that the bear is not shot, poor things are running out of living space. Hopefully it will be caught and re-located. Enjoy your lovely warm weather, nice to have short hair and not have to worry about drying and styling it, especially when its hot outside.

Sharon - Sorry to hear about your FIL!! Hope they can get his heart rhythm back on track, but at 97 he is amazing!! Enjoy having all of your family back with you!

Rae - Too bad that the weather did not co-operate for your weekend away! Hope that you did not have a long wait at the border. Good thing you find typing relaxing, you must do a lot of it!! Hope the sun is shining for you over on the mainland today! Enjoy!

I need my coffee now and today will be spent cleaning bathrooms and the floors, things that never got done over the weekend. Hopefully some scrapping and a bit more time here at the "O" Have a fabulous Monday everyone

Good morning, ladies. I am enjoying my second coffee, inhaling the oils in my diffuser and am ready to start my work day. This wk will be very busy as one client is gone next week so she is loading me up this week with files. That's ok though b/c it averages out my pay cheque which is good. I was woken up at 5:45 this morning by Comcast calling to ask if our telephone was working ok WTH???? who calls at that time of the morning. She wanted to ask me some security questions before continuing the conversation and I said no, I was not answering questions, the phone is working, it's 5:45 in the morning and I was sleeping. I hung up. This is b/c at the trailer this wkend we discovered that the phone hadn't been activated which they should have done on Sunday or Monday last wk and Darrell had called them Friday night when we got out there and discovered it was still inactive. Who knows what charges he will get for wifi calling on his cell but it was worth it for him to yell at them and finally get them to hook it up.

Bailey called yesterday when I was at the dog park with Taz so we hopped in the car and went over to get her since she's only 5 minutes away now. Taz enjoyed running along the trails for a few hours and we enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air. When I dropped her off, her BF was just coming home from work so got to meet him. He seems very kind and sweet. We're going to arrange a dinner soon for the 4 of us.

Chris - weird about finding the key in the yard. Have a good visit with your mom and as for vet visits, Taz will be going this afternoon or tomorrow too, for his monthly flush.

Nancy - how cool that you got photo taken and it'll be signed.

Sharon - wow...97...that is a remarkable age. Hope all goes well for him.

Trudy - glad the weather cleared up and you had a fun golf day. I really suck at golfing, I tried for a year or two but then gave it up, I was just too bad at it and Darrell is too good at it to enjoy playing with me. I'm happy for him to go play with his buddies and I get some alone time :)

I'm getting to work now. Gotta go. Have a great day, everyone.
