June. For real. Yikes!!!! But at the same time, I am breathing a sigh of relief! Whew!! I don't have half as much stuiff in June as I do in May, although still more than normal. Right now, I just have to figure out WTH to get for my brother for his b-day on Friday. A card is easy but a gift? No clue!
I am also really looking forward to June 12-14. My parents are bringing me up to PA for the weekend. They could have had a trip planned to Paris for the weekend and would have cancelled it for me. I have my 6 month mammo/ultrasound in the morning of the 12th and by dinner time I am going to be sitting on the sofa with a nice glass of wine!

I need quiet so desperately. I adore Jaida and am so happy that we have her, but last night, after all of the craziness of the weekend, just listening to her play-yip with Ray was making me want to climb the walls. Which I was not able to do since I was hooked to my IV :pound: So for 3 days, I am going to have peace and quet (well, not counting my mom who likes to jabber away, I think that is where I get it from :blah: )

Speaking of the little peanut- I better get posting this since she is whining in her crate.

I will be back ASAP!!

Ok, I am back-- Jaida went potty, Ray went potty, cats are fed, and I have coffee #2... wish it were coffee #200... but I will take what I can get.

We are getting some good rain here in NJ for the next few days. The ground is going to be happy for that! Yesterday started out really hot and humid, and then the rains came in and boom! Temps dropped by I don't know how much except that I needed *2* blankets on me last night watching TV hahaha!!

I was hooked up to my IV around noon and I thought that I would have plenty of time to scrap a page or two. bah humbug! Scrapblock is insane! I did order Caitlyn's Senior Portraits (sob!) and then had to argue with myself and my insurance cards- the new cards for Scott and I that start this month had the wrong deductibles on it. It was supposed to have $0 deductible and the card said $4000. The website was down (of course it was!) but I was able to dig through my paperwork to see that I actually have the zero-deductible policy.
I was also going to add in Caitlyn's income to the healthcare.gov website that determines how much of a subsidy we get, (is it not the craziest thing that Cait's pizzeria job counts as income for insurance for me and Scott???) but I took one look at it, and decided that it was not going to be dealt with just yet. I really need to do that today but I don't wanna!!! *tantrum*

So that is about it, gotta get Cait off to the bus stop soon. TTYL!!

Hi girls

I´m done:hand:....had an appointment at 11. 20am at the doctor for my yearly cancer check up and had to wait 3 hours !! Yes 3 hours.
Now I only want to rest the whole day and do nothing. It´s hot here , I think we get a heat wave. I don´t like such starts in the week.

Still June and still 2 1/2 week before schools ends for my daughter. She has her final exams starting June 18th till june 23rd:drum:

good morning - We had almost 5 inches of rain between yesterday afternoon and early this am. Way too much needed but still way to much at once. There is a lake in my back yard and I don't like that. But luckily not much to do but the grocery store. Got in a good walk before the rains came. Today with the clouds and rain and cool temps make me feel pretty lazy. Of course get some more scrapping done. My youngest son cracks me up. He is in DC and he txts me in the evening what were my parents and my DH's parents names. It is sad that because he never had grandparents living except my Mom so he just does not know the names. But at the same time it cracks me up wondering what conversation they were having. .

Chris I know what you mean about needing two blankets. The temp for the first of June is too cool. Enjoy the next few days of quiet!

Anika that is terrible that they made you wait for 3 hrs. I would be taking the rest of the day off too. School in NJ does not get out until late June but in Arizona where my sister lives they are already done. So strange for such difference in one country.

Trudy I understand about wanting the Ducks and I would have cheered for them if the Rangers had won but I think the talent on the Blackhawks and Lightning will make for some great hockey. I watched the Memorial Cup final last night. It was amazing to see those kids so young so well spoken and so so talented. Hard to see the other team lose. I love the reaction of the MVP who was from the losing team on not wanting to take the trophy and seeing the presenter say you have too.

Sharon loved the description of the wedding. How fun to be flown to the reception! The amount of energy required for a one year old is meant for the young. Love the dinner.

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies!! We are also supposed to be having :rain: today, but none in sight yet, just lovely blue sky and plenty of sunshine. We could also really use the wet stuff! Apparently we are to get it this afternoon/evening. We will see, the weather man is often wrong :becky: Not much happening around here today, I will hit the pool sometime this morning and then I think I will paint the second to last panel of the fence. DH only power washed the one panel other wise I could have gotten both of them done. Next project is the front porch :mmph: It never ends does it?

Chris - I am happy for you that you made it through your busy, busy month of June! Sorry I am of no use to you for a birthday gift idea, I never know what to buy the men in our family :noidea: Your mom and dad are the best, and I hope that your trip to PA is good! Hope you manage to get things straight with your insurance, it never is easy is it! There always seems to be a battle for everything involving health care!!

Astrid - That is terrible that you had to wait for 3 hours!!! What a horrible way to start the day! Kids are all still in school here until the end of June also, then the rest of the summer is busy, busy for all those parents with kids out of classes. The highways get super busy here with summer tourist season and it is a good time to just stay right where we are!! :becky:

Nancy - Glad you got your walk in before the
umbrella-smiley.gif
We were so busy with doing yard work yesterday that we did not see Memorial Cup Final. But we did PVR Outlander and we watched that, so sad that the season is over and we will have to wait until what? September? before it continues?? It was a dark episode wasn't it!!

Well my tummy is rumbling and I need a cup of coffee too! Hope everyone has a fabulous day and that you can all take part in the new challenges this month!!

Well, Trudy, the rain just hit us, so if you are planning on painting a fence today, you'd better hurry!

It was just the sylph and me at the pool this morning. She is this tiny little thing that swims about 2.5 laps for every one of mine. But appropriate I guess. I'm sure I weigh 2.5 times more than she does!...The Whale and The Dolphin! But I'm now doing the crawl for most of my laps. Ordered some special hair conditioner since my hair is beginning to feel like straw.

Anika, I hope you had a book and some needlework to help pass the time.

Nancy, it IS fun when your grown children start asking about family history. So much that DH and I take for granted is a total surprise to our kids when things come up.

Chris, I can almost hear your sigh about getting into June. Hope you can find that peace and quiet. I know how important that is to me...must be much more so for you.

Hair cut, copy store, laundry. The worst thing about rainy days in summer is I have to wear shoes and long pants when I go out. I've mentally moved to capris and flip-flops for the next 4 months! Shoes are so confining!
